After well over 30 years of exemplary service I was told my position was eliminated. Subsequent my position was given to a younger, no experience person. Nice that years of loyal service was not appreciated. They are not ethical, play favorites, and are not honest. My first 25 years were excellent, great leadership. Sparklight has been experiencing issues since the Friday in my area with no notice or updates on an ETA for fix. I work from home and depend on a stable internet connection to do my job. Getting my internet cut off in the middle of a conference call is not cool Sparklight. read more

If I could leave a review less than 1 star I would! My service has been in and out all day and they are telling me they cannot send someone for 3 days. On top of that, the hours that someone can come are during the hours that I work. Oh, and when they first hooked us up, they piggybacked us off our neighbor's box because they didn't want to "dig a trench" according to their worker. I actually have him on video saying this. Surprised I'm the first to write a review on Cable One as I've read online and there are quite a few other customers who are experiencing similar pains. Just canceled my Cable One "preferred" high speed Internet today. Not because the internet service is bad, no not because of poor customer service, but.. because on their 50mb high speed "premium" plan they cap your data usage at 50GB a month and charge you for every GB you go over. All we do is watch netflix, hulu and I play an online game to keep in touch with distant friends. I haven't done any bulk downloads and they've reported 14 days into our billing cycle we had acceded 100% of our usage. I called customer service over the weekend but their billing department was closed so I had the privilege to talk to a technician. This is where it gets good! He completely agrees with me that the plan is bogus, he tells me he uses 6GB a month just on his cell phone alone and that 50GB cap is ridiculous for home Internet usage with today's technologies and streaming content. He says netflix uses 2gb an hour in HD so if you do the math you can only stream about 20 hours a month and hit your cap without doing much else online. Of course he tells me I can... limit my usage, change netflix and hulu settings to lower quality, etc etc. It feels a lot like I leased a top of the line BMW but they are restricting me to only driving it 100 miles a month and charging me once I go over on milage. Barely enough miles to drive to work let alone do grocery shopping, run errands or heaven forbid go for an enjoyable weekend drive in the counrty! If you live in an area that offers Cable One and you utilize services such as netflix, hulu, watch youtube videos, or play online games I highly suggest looking into other providers as you will soon be sorely disappointed. *** Quick Update *** Signed up with a "No Obligation" month to month deal with CenturyLink for $29.99 for the first year / 40MB plan. There is no cap on the internet and we are seeing true 42MB+ Download and 5MB+ on the Uploads with their VDSL2 service. read more

I have traveled and moved at least 20 times in my career, many cable companies, and have never had such a pleasant experience as I had with Prescott Cable One. From start up, installation, tech department etc. all have been very friendly, professional, and never on hold long, met every timeline, and thoroughly checked my TV and wi-fi to assure that all my needs were met. Monopoly. For the last two weeks, my voice over IP (voip) phone service keeps cutting out when I speak. I called Cable One a week ago here is how that went: - waited on hold for 25 minutes - reached a technician who said nothing was wrong that he knew of - technician checked with the next level of techs, and found indeed there was in issue in their network which they were working on. So, instead of playing a message to those affected by their network issue, they let me hold for 25 minutes. Also, instead of informing their techs of the issue, they did not tell them, rather let them (and me) find out on our own. I just called them again, now a week later to learn that no they do not have a network issue. Uh-huh. I spoke with a supervisor, and eventually a manager. Both said they are rebuilding their network, so that is the reason for the problem. So, I guess they do know of the problem after all. So disrupting the service they provide their customers is part of the deal? I asked when this network issue is to be resolved. Well.... we can't really tell. Oh really, that's funny, because having worked in the telecommunications industry I have learned that every network issue, or scheduled maintenance has an Estimated Time to Restore as part of the process. Cable One does not seem to understand this - or at least the people answering the phone. So, when it comes time to pay my bill, I am sure they will understand that I will look to see if I feel like sending them money. In any of this, did Cable One apologize - at all? No. They simply state their position and can not understand why I feel this is unacceptable. read more

Cable One is the worst. My Internet is never running at the 100 mbps I'm paying for, but it's usually close so I let it slide. However, service is very spotty. My internet has been out most of the time for the past 9 days and counting, and when I call to complain they keep telling me they're preforming system upgrades and offered me $11 off my bill. Wow. I work from home, so I have been out about 20 hours of work, but thanks for the $11. Cost in general is ridiculous. Either you pay a ton up front to have unlimited internet, or you pay a cheaper price but then $10 for each time you go over the limit, up to $40. So basically, I'm paying $90/month for Internet, which is absolutely ridiculous. It's 2019, why in the world is there a data cap?! read more

An outdated cable company with outdated packages. Their "premium" package offer download speeds that are considered average by most cable ISP's. On top of that, they cap your download bandwidth at 100 GB a month. Newflash Cable One: this isn't the early 2000's anymore. Averge people are now downloading hundreds of gigs of data per month. We have streaming video, HD video. Video games that require downloading; SOME AS BIG AS 70 GB! They are now SparkLight and the customer service is TERRIBLE. Have had failed 'sends' thru email and it is hard to track as not consistant. However when I finally contacted their tech department (sounded like they were talking in a tin bucket, all the background noise was terrible) I found no one with any knowledge except in reading their canned response. This is typical of the dumbed down workforce that seems (!) to make up these types of support services. The ship of state is going down! And Sparklight/Cable One is already sunk. Not much choice here in N. AZ but this company has fallen badly over the past seven years. Sad. read more

WARNING to anyone considering CableOne as an existing customer I highly recommend NOT using them for Internet services. They don't care about their customers and will screw you over with their "policies". I average monthly 200GB of data on a 300GB plan. However, since I have slightly gone over 300GB three times in 10 months they are demanding that I increase to a 400GB plan which is $25 more expensive. They don't care that I average well under 300GB and hiding behind their policy to make me pay more money. They suck as a company and even worse in customer service. read more

I wouldn't recommend cable one to my worst enemy! They lie about everything, don't show up when they are supposed, don't call before they come out, leave your digital boxes out in the sun and rain for 6 months,have terrible technical support, don't call you back ever, you are unable to call them at their local offices because they have call centers in Texas and other places where they don't know what is going on. The local offices say they don't want to talk to customers because they are tired of all the complaints!! I was told by one representative that cable one treats their help better than their customers. I hope so. Get your service from anyone else. Their CEO could care less about you.. read more
