I had my business internet, security and phones for years. The pricing just kept going up each year. Started $180 range and got over $600. I called to see if they could do anything and they said no. So I went with at&t for alot less. After I swapped they then wanted to talk to me about giving a better rate...I sent the equipment back and they told me they only received part of it back. I recently purchased a camera system for inside and a ring door bell. The sales rep did not explain the needs for the door bell so I returned it as soon as I received it. I received my receipt and left the office. I then called the same day to make sure I would receive my refund for 159.00. I was told yes within 2-5 days. 7 days later no refund and after speaking to so many people I was told I would receive a refund for 159.00. but I later received a email saying 74.00. I then called back and they say oh we took the money for the next month and this is still August. I told them this is a big inconvenience, I brought a device returned it and now cant get my full amount back with a zero balance when I purchased it. They only saying well this is the balance for the next month that's not even here yet. They also said if I make a payment in the amount they took they'll refund me my whole 159.00. How dumb is that. Like a Venus Flytrap, they lure you in with generous offers and polite customer service. But try and cancel services and they turn Monstrously Desperate and Desperately Deranged. I canceled my service 9/24 beginning the next month. 11/24 I'm charged for October. I called to dispute the charge and, despite my informing the rep that I'm hard of hearing, the rep doesn't slow down, doesn't speak louder and is using a foreign accent that was virtually indecipherable. I asked to be transferred to a manager and was hung up on. It had taken me almost 2 hours to get that far. I started over. 2 more hours later I was connected to the right dept, explained my situation, and was asked if I'd unplugged my router. Why? I own the router I told him. Well our service was used during Oct by your household. You should've unplugged your router. Now I don't know who these people think they are but I requested my service cancelled a month prior. Nobody has the right to tell me what I should do with items I own. YOU should examine why my cancellation order wasn't acted on rather than blaming the victim. I then signed up with Verizon and am quite happy. In March 2025 I found a $92 Bill from these Deviant Crooks on pending on my bank statement. It seems that every month since September 2024 Cox had tried to charge me EVEN THOUGH I WAS GETTING SERVICE FROM VERIZON. It's all in dispute currently. We pay $280 per month for 25mb down/ 10mb up with Cox Business. They forced us into paying for the optical internet package after we had already signed a contract for cable service. The original cable service was going to be $135 per month but apparently the have a "glitch" abd we needed to use optical for twice the price and half the speed. Our internet now is a joke after 3pm everyday, multiple technicians have come out and accomplished NOTHING! They are now blaming our network, a Apple Airport extreme router. *** Another update: So after speaking with multiple people on July 18th and then again on July 27th. I paid 950 and was current and had an arrangement to pay my new July bill (which was due July 26th) on August 10th. I was promised by a manager named Nathan that everything was set up and good to go and that my service would not be interrupted again. So it is now 3 days before my payment arrangement is due and my service is shut off again. I have spoken to 3 different people who told me to call tomorrow and speak to another manager so they can pull my original calls and review them. We have been customers with them for almost 30 years. I will be moving to Century Link on August 22nd and I recommend that if you are deciding between Century Link and COX you pick Century Link. The internet at Cox is good (expensive but good) BUT if you ever have any issues the customer service is TERRIBLE and good luck talking to someone on the weekend. -K read more

So I just moved here I live on property at a storage facility so was told I could only get a business account.Ok whatever they said they waved the start up fee and I was like that's awsome have had it over a month had some issues so called them came by for 10 minutes issue fixed.I go to pay my bill and it went from 145 which is ludacris since I have 1 box and a router not even a DVR and a small chanel selection my bill goes from 145 to 320 bucks 1st off if there was a charge for them to come out for 5 minutes they should prob let someone know as I would have said no thank you 2nd the service is less then mediocre they are about to lose my business and try me in the contact thing they will lose!!! Cox has always been pretty good about handling issues with the internet and billing. However, I just had an experience with a gentleman in the Loyalty Dept indicating their customer service is sadly lacking these days. I was told not to interrupt him while he was talking as he had no interrupted me while I was describing my issue. When it was my turn to talk, this gentleman interrupted me several times, even though I stated I was talking now. Never have I been made to feel like an "idiot" incapable of understanding my bill. But this gentleman did! I have been with Cox for more than 20 years and this is the first time I have written a review. I am sorry to say that it is not positive. No customer should be treated so disrespectful or made to feel inferior as I was today. This is the wrong type of employee to have working in the Loyalty Dept as the goal is to retain customers. Not chase them away with poor service. I will have to decide whether Cox is the right service for my family. read more

The absolute worst experience of my entire business career!!!! I will never use them again for anything. I signed up for the business internet and this guy John Paul somehthing or another never told me I was in a 1 year contract for $99 bucks a month. Now i knew it was $99 a month but 5 months later when my biz was closing its doors they said sorry your going out of business but your in a contract. The woman there Sara that helped me was great, but the rest of those guys are a complete joke, everything from the install to the customer service.......I would say if your looking around for internet services for your business than do not get cox......they absoultely suck!!! read more

When I used Century Link my internet went down. Seems there was a problem at my business. they told me (Twice) it was not worth there time to come and fix it. I called Cox. They came out the next day. No problem. When i could not remember my Wi-Fi password they sent Toby out to reset it and reconnect my fax line. I am not sure abut these other comments. I switched from Cox to save $10 a month with Century Link and got slower speeds and no service. Never again. I have always found their customer service helpful. read more
