Great happy hour. The pizza flares were delicious. Our bartender Seth gave us some of the best service I've had since I moved to Greeley!

Nice local restaurant with history. Prices are a bit spendy, food is decent, but not exceptional.

Never go here!! They will charge you in places unexpected. All you can eat does not mean all you can eat to them they charge you for every plate of pasta they bring you! This is not all you can eat!!! I understand charging extra for sauces etc but to charge the price of the pasta every time is deceptive for a "all you can eat" deal. read more

Constantly great food, atmosphere, & the staff is always friendly and courteous. Cables has been one of our weekly staples for years now. We usually get the pizza, which has a great sauce, crust, and is piled on with toppings! The food here can be good, if you know what to order. The hamburgers and the pulled-pork nachos were great, offering good flavors and portion sizes. They just can't do anything right when it comes to Italian dishes. The lasgana was under cooked, giving a mushy taste. My father had spagetti, and was given such a small portion -- for the price. The service and the atmosphere are awesome. Went back for pizza, they offer a nice 18" thin slice. I tried one vegi and one meat lovers version. The pizza is decent enough for me to order take-out when I want pizza. Though, they are not cheap, -- and since when I picked up the pizza (20 minutes after calling) the boxes were wet on the bottom. I think if it were fresh and a simple pepperoni version might be the best choice next time. read more

Good service and happy hour but food is way, way, way over priced. Was shocked at our bill tonight: 2 medium pizzas, 6 HH beers, $73. WHAT? Yum! Had dinner here the first time Monday. I had lasagna and my friend had the chix parm. Side salad with a homemade chili ranch dressing that was terrific!! Lasagna had a meatball on the side, tons of cheese; delicious homemade noodles!! Portions are HUGE; service was awesome; cocktails great. We have been to Cables a few times since the beginning of the year. Tonight was our first take out experience. The food was great as usual, but the fries were left out with the Ruben sandwich and the Lemon Pepper Chicken salad was missing the chicken. We made due and they credited our next order. I am only giving this rating one star due to the fact this place cannot get a to go order right. The food, for the most part, is excellent as well as the service when your sitting in the restaurant. My family and I used to eat Cables about twice a week and we started getting it to go. At least 2 items out of every order is wrong even when checked by the manager. We stopped ordering for several months and decided to try it again and SURPRISE - orders wrong again after the manger said it was triple checked. First time eating here. I would say overall it's fair to good. Not great but service was very good. Teale our waitress was very polite and attentive. She made sure we were taken care of. Fried mushroom are great, cheesy fries as well. Burgers look big and juicy here. Pizza also looks tasty. I had the smothered burrito with pork. Pork kinda of dry but overall with the green salsa and guacamole and a dash of tabasco. It makes it more tasty. Will have to come back for the burgers !!!!! I have been a regular here since I moved to town in August. Great place to watch Sunday football. I have frequented this venue at least once a week. We stopped by here after visiting a relative in Greeley, and we were ALL disappointed. The menu prices were a little high even compared with high-end places in downtown Denver. I mean really, a $12 burger?! My boyfriend and I shared a 12" meat lover's pizza. I only ate once slice. It was over $16 and was pretty awful. The cheese wasn't completely melted, there were only 3 types of meat that I could see though they listed 4 on the menu, and when I went to pick a piece of sausage off another slice I noticed the sausage was gummy, so I held it under the light. It was still pink! Undercooked and overpriced food = horrible overall experience. Never going again. Update: vomiting within hours after eating there. Food poisoning as a take-home gift? Let me preface by explaining that my entire family have been patrons of Cables for many years. The food is alright, but nothing overly impressive and the ambiance is very nice, however the bar, at any given time of the day, is usually full of wealthy-looking older men trying to impress much younger women. We have been patrons of this establishment for so many years because they have homemade spaghetti and decent specials. This past year however, they have raised their prices substantially on their offerings but the quality of the food has stayed the same, so-so. My cousin and I decided to visit Cables last night before heading home for the evening. Upon arrival we decided to order some appetizers and split them between us. One of the menu items we decided upon was the Queso with ground beef. The food came out very quickly and for the most part was warm so we began to eat. Almost half way through the queso my cousin noticed a problem, raw meat. She proceeded to pull out a large piece of what appeared to be uncooked ground beef and on second glance, we realized that the entire bottom of the queso was full of raw/uncooked beef. As soon as the waitress returned to ask how everything was, we pointed out to her the chunk of raw meat and the uncooked meat in the bowl. She promptly removed the plate and apologized disappearing to the back for a few moments. After returning she explained that "we looked at it too and tried to figure out what is was, and we figured out it was chicken. I'll have another one out to you shortly." Now I'm not trying to be rude here, but you were "trying to figure out" what you were serving us? Should you really be serving something that is unidentifiable to your cooks? We promptly told her not to worry about bringing us a replacement as neither of us had much of an appetite following that. We then asked for our check. When we received it the charge for the queso was still on the check. No manager ever came over to apologize and no other remedy was offered. Needless to say, you have lost my families business. This is not the first time we have encountered a terrible level of service at this establishment, but it will be the last. Please take warning that if you choose to dine at this establishment, you are risking infection from food-born illness for mediocre offerings at best. read more

I ate lunch at this place once - it's near my office and W. Greeley is kind of a food desert. The location is fairly standard for a neighborhood eatery - well appointed and roomy. I wasn't drinking but the choices seemed pretty pedestrian. The prices - high. Had a burger, it was OK, but for the price I felt gypped. The service was good, but for these prices I'll go to KFC 4 times instead. read more

I did give Cables another chance, begrudgingly, only because we received a gift certificate from a family member. We got seated right away and the waitress was friendly. I cannot believe the prices here though. We ordered the pizza and for the $23.00+ we spent it was extremely disappointing. It wasn't bad but sure wasn't worth any more than $10-$12. So, here my wife and I are, enjoying some nachos while we wait for our meal. The nachos are quite good. We finish the nachos and the waiter walk up to our table and goes "wow did you even taste those?" Normal circumsatances he is just an idiot. But my wife who is 6 months pregnant and very concerned about her weight an appearance looks mortified. So I ask the idiot waiter if he is rude to all his customers or just us and intead of apologizing he blows us off, huffs and walks away. I ask for a manager and tell him my story. The manager just says that that's not what the server meant. I say the server can leave for the night and the manager actually defends this person. We used to go to cables regularly but until the manager and the waiter (we will call him Tom) are reprimanded and/or removed we will never return again. read more

Ate dinner there a couple of weeks ago because we had a school function nearby. We told the waitress that we were in sort of a hurry and knew what we wanted. She only took the drink order first though. We asked her recommendations on the wine list and she replied, "I don't like wine". Ok, asked for water along with wine but ended up having to ask three times. Son ordered lemonade and had 2 refills and they charged $3.00 per refill. Hope he enjoyed his $9 lemonade. Stopped in on a Sunday early evening for a quick bite after a long day visiting the stock show. First impression was it was clean & comfortable. The guy that seated us was friendly and covered the specials (so far so good). Server (Des) immediately tossed out an attitude. There were seven of us in our party and after our corn dog, icecream, sausage on a stick, cotton candied day we all really wanted water to start out with which sent her into a huff. From that point on she was unbelievable, the best word I can think of to describe her would be snotty. She was training (being trained by?) Another girl who was pleasant and professional. Des was completely annoyed when asked a question about the menu, rolled her eyes and made sarcastic comments under her breath throughout our meal. While she was efficient, she so clearly disliked her job or people (maybe just us ?) that I wanted to tell her to go home and think about alternative job choices that do not involve the public. A bad server ruins the whole meal...yes the food had a nice presentation, yes it was hot and fresh, yes it tasted good and we liked it. No the three people that had spaghetti did NOT get bread. Had our server been more pleasant we would have ordered more. Three of us were planning on ordering a wine or beer with dinner which we were rushed through the order and weren't checked back on to do so. Two other people in the party were going to order a pizza to take home but others in group talked out of because of the service. One of the party members was planning on dessert but when server came at end of the meal and shook her head no while asking if anyone wanted dessert that sent a message to CLEARLY not to order dessert. It is really aggravating because there are so few dining choices in Greeley that arent major chains. May or may not try back. read more

As a former employee, I gotta say I'm pretty bummed to see what has become of the food. They used to have great sandwiches but the Connector I had was horrid. This is a good place to bring friends. The food is very good but the highlight is the pizza. They have traditional Italian food but the options ingredients, and the fire cooked pizza are easily the highlight of the food. They have a full bar that can get a little pricey but is manageable. The biggest downside of the place is the front staff. There are a few people in the wait staff that are terrible. We got salad the same time as the food and drinks were late, the whole bit. The cooks are very good though. Bottom line go with friends sit at the bar order drinks and a specialty pizza. My wife loves the pineapple, cream cheese, and ham or chicken. read more
