Very great course. Impressive staff. Even though only 12 holes were open we loved the place, and happy to break 100 on our round. Hey I'm working on it. We played Palomino this weekend too and weren't impressed and probably won't play there again. Bring some "off" too bugs for days.

Cabo del Sol is where you want to be for Sunday brunch. Between 10:30 am - 2 pm, it's all-you-can-eat goodness. I've been to many a buffet and this one is tops when we talk about brunch. Waffles, Benedicts, pastries, shrimp, salads, mimosas, lobster tails, prime rib, gelato, egg rolls, soup... do I need to keep going? Oh, I do! There's bottomless mimosas! For $50 per person USD, you get all that as long as your stomach allows. With a view of the ocean. It's decadent, which is probably why they only serve on Sundays. Go there, tip the servers and enjoy.

Spectacular views and phenomenal cuisine!!! Can't recommend this outstanding restaurant enough to all our friends back at the hotel & at home. It's the best kept secret of San Jose Del Cabo! Come see for yourself... Cheers! P.S. The golf course is the best course Jack Nicholas says he ever designed. It played that way too. Top rated golf course of Mexico & Latin America.

We started off with a breakfast in their restaurant and it was so good! Eggs Benedict were just perfect afterwards we hit up the golf course and it was a lot of fun. Breath taking views for the win! I stopped and actually walked to the water to dip my toes in you are that close. Now I'm not a golfer and was just riding along with experienced golfers and I had a blast. The complimentary tacos were awesome. I got the shrimp and easily ate 3 of them.

We played both the Ocean and the Desert Courses, and we prefer the Desert Course by far. There are ocean views from most of the holes on the Desert Course. We think the Ocean Course is overpriced. We paid $110 to play the Desert Course at 12:30, and we paid $255 to play the Ocean Course at 10:30. The fairways and greens are in prestige shape, although the greens are deceivably slow. The fairways are wide and the ball gets s lot of roll to it especially at the Desert Course. We had a great time playing both courses, but we highly recommend the Desert Course.

He booked directly with the course and had no trouble setting up a tee time. Included in the price was what they call a hydration station, but honestly, it was more like a full bar and mini restaurant -- stocked with everything you could want. Drinks, snacks, fresh food... they had it all! The practice facility was next-level: shaded umbrellas, a bar, music, and a super relaxing vibe even before teeing off. The staff was friendly and super attentive, even pre-stocking our cart before we got started. As for the course itself -- absolutely stunning. Ocean views, pristine fairways, and multimillion-dollar homes lining the course. It felt exclusive, beautiful, and most importantly, very safe and secure with the gated setup. Whether you're an avid golfer or just tagging along for the views and experience, Palmilla is definitely worth it.

Dead grass and dirt patches all over the place. I was chatting with the Starter, also from the LA area, before I teed off. He compared the bunkers to the condition of public courses in LA. Not a good sign, and he was right. Hard and crunchy. Luckily, I only paid $75 because the greens had been aerated. If I had paid full price I would have been pissed. The course is like if Jack Nicklaus had designed a public course. Challenging design in terrible shape. Not sure what Questro golf is thinking with this one. I played Cabo Real two days ago and the conditions were much better. Campestre was a disappointment but I appreciated the way easier back 9!

ABSOLUTELY SKIP THIS HORRIFIC, RUDE, INSANELY OVER PRICED, TRASHED COURSE!…read moreDo you want to play at a horrific course that is hot garbage, NUMEROUS workers all over the course weed eating, mowing and cutting trees, rental clubs from the 1800's that were trashed and bent, trashed tee boxes that weren't rotated, destroyed cart paths and construction everywhere? Then this is the course for you! We wanted to play at a nice golf course while we were enjoying our time in Cabo, and we came to the conclusion this was the best one near our resort. We were willing to pay a decent amount to play at a nice place, instead of choosing a budget friendly course and being disappointed by the fairways and greens, etc. We ended up paying an decent amount to still be disappointed by the greens, fairways, and numerous other things. First thing that was unacceptable were the sets of golf clubs we paid around $60 a piece to rent. They were in subpar condition and very outdated. The clubs were old, from what we could tell was the early 2000's, the grips were torn up and the putter skin on the grips was completely stripped off as seen in pics. One thing that made it hard to concentrate and enjoy the course was workers working right near the pin when hitting our approach shots, seems like the courteous thing is to move until we hit our shots then continue working right? Nope, they just kept on working. Also, not the safest approach for the work to be conducted in the case of errant shots. This can be seen in the pictures I provided. Then there was workers weed eating right next to the tee box while we were teeing off which was rather distracting. Then at another tee box there were workers cutting down and trimming trees while we were teeing off, again distracting and not par for golf etiquette. It's necessary for course upkeep, but there has to be a better way for your maintenance teams to perform their duties while not distracting people that are paying to enjoy it. I've never been to another course with as many workers on the course as this one. Pictures provided for this too. The tee boxes were pretty trashed because they obviously weren't moved around. At least half of the greens had pretty bad patchy areas as seen in the pictures. Cart paths were pretty beat up and the carts barely made it up hills to where I thought I was going to have to get out and push. There was construction everywhere also, which was very distracting as well.

A representative named Mark Baronousky Castillo (Folio: 09596) pressured me into a package, promising a taxi ride alongside various activities. He intentionally hid the fact that these perks required attending a high-pressure timeshare presentation. He scheduled a time under the guise of "booking activities," completely fabricating the purpose of the meeting. Key Issues: Extreme Deception: Mark was highly communicative and responsive until the moment I left the property, at which point he went completely silent. He explicitly told me, "Text me your info and I will have a ride arranged." That was the last I ever heard from him. He is absolutely not trustworthy.Relentless High- Pressure Sales: Mind you, I was just now finding out the true reason why I was really here at this time. From the moment I arrived at the presentation, the staff complained about my attitude, telling me it looked like I "didn't want to be here" and demanding that I be more "interactive." When I clearly said no to the timeshare, they completely ignored my boundaries. Instead of stopping, they brought out a second salesperson to tag-team me and pressure me further. When someone says no, it should be left at that. Broken Contracts: The company refused to honor the full agreement. They explicitly denied my guaranteed return ride back to the airport, leaving me stranded after taking my funds. This establishment operates on lies, manipulation, and intimidation. I am demanding a full refund for the unfulfilled promises and the taxi service I paid for. If you see Mark or if anyone mentions Diamante Resort at the airport, walk away immediately.

There are 2 hotels - Grand Velas (family-oriented) and Grand Velas Boutique (adults only). We stayed in the Grand Velas since most of the restaurants are located in the main hotel. From the vacation experience agent, Leonila, to our guest experience agent Thamara, to our personal concierge, Tony, this journey was destined for success. We enjoyed working with each person, even prior to our arrival. The car service arranged through the hotel was smooth except for the outer-bands, post-hurricane sudden downpour at the airport. It's weather so what can you do about it? I understand such events are infrequent in Cabo, however. Both drivers were friendly and conversational. The resort is beautiful with curved walkways, 3 outdoor pools, with at least 1 outdoor large jacuzzi, and a tropical landscape. The infinity edge of the adult pool extended its view into the ocean! There is also a Teen Clubroom and a children's play area near the family pools. It is a well-staffed property with pleasant and polite team members at every level. If we happened to lose our way, the staff not only provided directions but took the time to walk with us to our destination!!! Tony, our personal concierge was in constant communication and our go-to for questions and support. He elevated our anniversary celebration by providing us with several personalized surprises! His contributions provided us with great memories! Delightful experience at every restaurant, especially the many fine dining establishments. (Individual restaurant reviews coming soon). The luxury spa (the water journey was very relaxing), a reserved photoshoot (beautiful and professional photos), and wonderful poolside service, including a frozen treat cart and in-pool (literally) cocktail service, were all worth the time. The resort offers a daily schedule of on-resort activities in addition to access to off-resort activities. Two tips: 1) I recommend boxing out a couple of hours for post -water journey relaxation to enjoy the benefits of this detoxing, muscle stimulating, de-stressing experience. 2) plan for 2 appointments for the photoshoot, first for the shoot, a second, to select your photos. I've seen reviews of other all-inclusive properties where guests say after 3 days, they tire of the food choices. You will not have that problem here. Depending on your activity schedule you could easily spend 5 days here and not get bored. Looking forward to returning here as it was at the top of the list for vacation experiences.

My idea would by like the smoking and non-smoking sections in a restaurant; sure you're not "protected" against kids but you have a greater chance of being separated from them. Besides all the amazing all-inclusive food, my favorite part of each restaurant were the views.

We booked for the easy location and affordable price. Ocean view room, pool and bar onsite along with only a short walk to the beach? Check, check, and check. The daily breakfast was much better than the normal American Hyatt Place buffet. All dishes were actually fresh made (not frozen/dried/reconstituted). Loved the chilaquiles, fresh pineapple/cantaloupe/papaya, and the Spanish chorizo (linguica?). Our 1st few nights in the room seemed quite warm and we just figured we weren't use to the area. After the 3rd night we decided to ask for fans and to have the AC checked out. They quickly came up and determined the compressor failed. By that afternoon they had relocated us to a comparable room. At the end of our stay, the AGM Alan, comped our 3 nights due to the AC issue... which was above and beyond service! Exceeded expectations for sure. To top it off, we learned early in our stay, that they had complimentary beach chairs and an umbrella to be used for beach trips. We checked these items out, for free, on a handful of days to the beach. Saved us the money and hassle as well as kept us comfy while getting our daily beach time in. There's a reason you'll see flight crews there every day. The pool is surrounded on three sides by buildings, with trees on the fourth side, so there are small windows for sunshine, but as long as you move around as the sun moves, you should be able to find sunshine. I love the padded lounge chairs. Right across the street is a path to take you about two blocks to the beautiful wide but unswimmable beach, which was almost deserted in early March. There's a nice lobby and a long patio with comfortable seating. Friendly bilingual staff. There's a 24 hour security guard. Flavored water late morning to early afternoon in the lobby. The room was comfortable and well made each day. My bath towel left on hook was still taken away to be laundered. The bathroom sink faucet is 1/2 inch from the edge of the sink, making it difficult to use. The buffet was great, but not fully set up until 45 minutes after opening most days. The menu changed frequently, with the Chilaquiles green chili casserole being my favorite. The OJ was basically flavored water compared to what I'm used to. The hotel can be loud. The windows appear to be singled paned, and busy Highway 1 is right next to the hotel, so you'll hear lots of traffic noise including unmuffled dump trucks. Every morning at 2 AM, an extremely, obnoxiously, exceptionally loud motorcycle went by and woke me up, even with earplugs and white noise running. The hotel is also right under the airport flight path, so about every 20 minutes a jet will roar overhead. The exercise room has a rack of free weights, four treadmills, two bikes, and an elliptical. They don't appear to do any recycling. Overall, I'd recommend it especially given the price point of about $110 plus $30/nt in fees.
