We've gone to Cabo for years. We usually start with Abuela's Guacamole which they make fresh. My go-to has been Chile Rellenos with combo #6. Cabo has added several new items to their menu, and my new favorite is the Quesa Birria. Quesa Birria combines queso (cheese) and birria (slow-stewed beef) in a crispy, griddled taco served with a flavorful broth (consomé) for dipping. It's rich, savory, and one of the most popular modern Mexican street foods. Their new Tortas (Mexican sandwiches) are fantastic too -- I've tried several and they're all delicious. A quaint litte Mexican Restaurant in a strip mall. I received a friendly greeting as I walked in and shown to a table. With only one exception, I don't discuss the seating in an eatery, but it is worth noting the chairs here are fine, but not conducive to hanging around, just hard wood without cushion (the booths were cushioned). As I always do, I request some hot sauce to jazz up the salsa, but never received it, The salsa didn't seem to be bottled, it was quite chunky and ok for a plain-no heat salsa. If you have ever read any of my Mexican restaurant reviews, you know my first meal is always a chimichanga. I ordered the shrimp chimichanga. They were delicious, the perfect blend of cheese, shrimp and bell peppers filled them. The shrimp was grilled to perfection and had a slightly smokey flavor. Now, you are reading the above and wondering why the four stars and not five. Well, the lack of hot sauce when I requested it there should be a bottle of it on the table with requesting it), no tea refill, and combined with one paper napkin are enough to remove a half star, but I don't have that option. In the waitress's defense, she did check on me, but I didn't complain about the hot sauce or napkins. read more

Buffet was not stocked. Salsa was sour with no pleasant taste. Note I asked for chips and salsa and I was rudely told that it didn't come with the buffet. I don't eat here so I don't know their "rules and guidelines". I ordered a tiny bowl of salsa and she made sure I knew I was going to pay $1.50 for it. I'm older and have ate at Mexican restaurants all my life. I'v never been chastised by a server like this lady. I have a "very tall" granddaughter and we asked about children's meals because we had five of them with us. You would though we were trying to rob a bank. Made my 12 year old granddaughter very uncomfortable because she said "oh no not her" and probably chipped away at my granddaughters self esteem. She ordered a cheese quesadilla which was good. We had a five year old that was going to eat off his 10 year old sisters steak dinner plate. I felt like this server was watching making sure we were not going to feed this child anything off of our plate from the buffet. Which we didn't and wouldn't have. My grandson ordered a chicken finger plate which he said he didn't like. We had four adult buffets and didn't feed our kids from our plates. Many of the items on buffet were empty and we didn't get much on our plates. We never were offered drink refills until we were finished. Tney don't ever have to worry about me coming back. If I want to spend money at a restaurant it will be somewhere that welcomes me. It was strangely like They thought we were there to get something for nothing. The food was ok. read more

Stopped in for lunch when I was passing through. Sent ahead and had the buffet. Had some different items on it compared to most Mexican restaurants. Thought it was ok.wasn't too cool inside on hot day. Borderline sweating while inside so got quick meal and got out. read more

Great fresh food! Visiting the area and happened on this place. Grandson had tacos & Hubby and I split the fajita nachos with chicken & beef, the fried flour tortillas were awesome, the queso cheese was perfect. Would highly recommend! Took my girlfriend here after hiking the visiting the area for her birthday! The food was fantastic and the service was OUTSTANDING! They were so nice and sang to her and she almost cried! Nailed the orders and food was perfect! I go here for the lunch buffet. They offer a really good selection with mains and soups for the meal and a simple dessert selection (which I hardly ever eat because I chimichanga myself into a food-coma) Quick to keep the buffet filled. read more

The service was awful, took 30 minutes to get drinks ordered; it was not busy. The food was bland, the salsa was puréed tomatoes with a little cilantro, no other spices or seasoning. We won't be back. Overall it was a bad dining experience. read more
