I've been here several times and the food is always good. The service is excellent and surprisingly fast. I'm always frustrated though because I never seem able to get past the chicken fajita nachos. Which are really good. The onion and peppers are fresh with a nice little char and never soggy. I finally tried something different and was delighted. I had a combo plate with an enchilada and tamale. There was a big pile of seasoned ground beef and enchilada sauce on the tamale. I think the tamale was chicken. The enchilada sauce was really good and tasted house made. If it was canned I want to know the brand because it was excellent. The prices are quite reasonable. It's been a while since we visited this Los Arcos location. There were a number of things that made it not the best experience, but one that made me decide I will not be back. They have a 11-3 lunch special. We were seated at 2:40, got our drinks, and needed a minute due to the kiddy being unsure of what she wanted. It took the waitress (on purpose? I'm not sure) a minute to get back to our table. It wasn't because they were busy. We ordered off the lunch menu. My bill reflected dinner prices. Speaking to the manager, he told me we ordered after 3. I told him that was not our fault, since we had been seated since 2:40. He did change the bill to reflect lunch menu prices, but only after making the snide comment we got dinner-size portions. I replied that was also not our fault. I almost sent the chips back when we sat down, as they were stale, but did not want to be that person. Our entrees were ok, but not anything we couldn't get elsewhere. The interior of the restaurant has really deteriorated. There were wobbly ceiling fans, and it was muggy and unpleasant temperature-wise. This was a very disappointing visit. I really hate the restaurant has taken such a nose dive because we used to always look forward to visiting. I work too hard for my money, however, to not enjoy everything about a meal out with my family. There are too many options in the area to accept a subpar experience. read more

They have the best garlic sauce ive ever had. Ive never seen sauce cover a plate like their garlic sauce covered a plated.

The food was really yummy. My husband ordered the enchiladas suizas and cleaned his plate. I ordered the fajita nachos Cancun, which was enough food for at least 3 meals for me, maybe 4. Everything was delicious. The chips were warm and not too thick. Salsa was perfect without too much cilantro. Our server was super sweet and spoke English well. The decor and music were typical. We arrived close to closing. The only fault I could give is that our margaritas were size medium when we had ordered smalls, but they were quite yummy too, and the server apologized. She was so sweet that we went along with the error. Would eat there again. read more

Second visit: Horrible. I ordered an enchilada and Chile Relleno. First, I am NOT a fan of bell peppers used for chili rellano. Second, the fillings for both were SO runny, they could have been in a bowl and called soup. The not particularly friendly waitress, spilled some beer on the table when she left it, so my one extra napkin was used to clean up. I struggled to keep the fruit flies off my food as I ate. The meal led to, shall we say, "intestinal distress" that evening and into the next day. Never again will I visit this location. read more

First time there. Parking lot is always full. Was pretty good but some on the dishes were a bit under-seasoned. I had an avocado salad with added grilled shrimp. Not too expensive and tasty. Again, the grilled shrimp could have been a bit more seasoned. read more

just nowNEW So me and my wife just went here and the food was so awful...I been eating here for years and today it was bad . I had 3 bits of my food and she had a lil more the waiter comes up and asked if it was ok we said no . Then he says well your still paying for it my wife said to him it was bad I'm not eating this he said well your paying for it and walked off . I've been to Los Arcos many times, but will never return again. The food is what you would expect at this price point, nothing special but always fairly consistent. Frozen margaritas are far too sweet with not much alcohol. The problem is the service. My wife made a simple request, for water with no ice. When the waiter brought a glass of ice water my wife asked him to please bring one with no ice. The waiter then began to insult my wife, accusing her of being difficult and changing her mind. My wife, shocked, asked to speak to the manager, who promised he would talk to the waiter. That was the extent of Los Arcos solution to having a member of staff insult a customer. Avoid this restaurant, there are better choices without having to endure any drama. read more

Our order was ready when we arrived and they brought it out to us. They have a good set up for to go orders. Our order was hot and accurate. The portions were large. Los Arcos is my wife's and my favorite Mexican place in Guntersville or Albertville. The waitstaff is always attentive and friendly; I don't recall ever having to ask for another drink or more salsa. My wife's favorite dish is the pechuga Mexicana, and my favorite is the pechuga con chorizo. I've been meaning to try other things on the menu, but the chorizo dish is so good that I don't want to miss out on having it! Excellent value for your money. read more

Really great food. Enjoyed the chips and salsa and guacamole. The choriqueso was heavy on the chorizo with just a touch of queso - really needed more queso for a better ratio and balance. The "poblano peppers" were really what are commonly known in my area as chili rellenos - poblano peppers stuffed with cheese, dipped in an egg batter and fried, and topped with ground beef. However my relative ordered a "chili relleno" and got half of a pepper stuffed with cheese and ground beef - not battered and fried. So there is some discrepancy in the terminology used in different areas. The rice was nice and soft, not hard. The frozen peach margarita was excellent. Service was great. Very nice Mexican restaurant. The staff is very friendly, make you feel welcome and do everything that can do make your meal very enjoyable. We each had the Fajita Baked Potato, talk about loaded, neither us could eat the whole thing, the rest went home for a midnight snack.
