I started coming to Cabrillo Dental because my uncle Dr. Torres was one of the amazing doctors there but he has since retired. At first I was nervous because he had always taken care of me. Well, he left me in great hands. I saw Dr. Sadat and she was just so sweet and caring in calming my nerves. She did my cleaning and check-up(no cavities) thank god. She made sure to educate me along the way on how to brush and floss a little better and pointed out areas that needed improvement. I'm so happy with all the staff, front and back office. I came to this dental practice at the recommendation of my sister. The office staff was very kind and greeted me immediately. I was taken back promptly for x-rays and then met Dr. Salehi. He took the time to review my X-rays thoroughly and discuss them with me, ensuring I undertood what was going on. I had a crown in the back that had poor contact and was concerned as food was getting stuck there. He was able to provide a easy solution. He is very gentle with his hands, which is what you want from a dentist who will be working in your mouth for hours at a time. I originally came in here to get my wisdom tooth pulled as it was starting to hurt me and I just changed dental insurances so I thought I would try a new dentist. After getting my tooth pulled, I realized that the dentist didn't even update me on my other teeth. It was my first visit and they took an xray, cleaned my teeth and pulled my tooth. That was it. I came home and was wondering about my other teeth - like do i need new fillings etc. So I called back and they were able to see me pretty quickly. He told the dental assistant which teeth need new fillings, then they gave me a quote. I felt like it was a really big inconvenience. read more

First things first, I HATE going to the dentist. I will literally wait until my teeth are falling out to go, and yes, that's a me problem (plus horrible genes). In an attempt to finally use the dental insurance I'd been carrying and not using for some time I found my way to Cabrillo. The front desk staff are the best & stayed the best for the entirety of my time there. Special shoutout to Carol my main girl who was so helpful, kind, & caring over the course of my long dental journey. Most importantly, they do great work, please bear that in mind for the duration of this honest review. After my first appointment I was informed I had like 13 ish crowns I needed on my top teeth & because I needed so many, I wound up electing to also get 2 cosmetic crowns I didn't need so it wouldn't look weird on my front teeth. This took at least 5ish appointments & upwards of 10k. It. Was. Hell. I cannot lie, this was the most painful dental experience of my life, and I've had a lot of dental work. The mentality was very much just stay still, open wide, & take it. I literally cried during my 2nd appointment it was so painful & even as tears were streaming down my face they were telling me "if you move now we're just going to have to start all over again." I swear I'm not a wimp, been through cancer & much more, but every time I went into those appointments I felt like a total wuss. They'd leave me inverted, feet above my head for like 30 mins, neck aching, light blasting in the face, while being told to clench your mouth "as hard as you can." Don't know if anyone has tried this but try clenching your jaw as hard as you can for more than a couple minutes, it's no easy feat. There was a tv which was never on or offered to be on during all my visits & I thiiink there was a massage chair which I know only because I was put in one accidentally on one of my appointments but never again afterwards. Everyone working on my teeth spoke only to each other in Spanish, which is fantastic, my partner is ESL, only there were times where I had no clue what was happening or what they were working on in my mouth & how I should respond, so at times my mouth felt like the interior workings of a dirty secret mess I was not privy to, perhaps that was for the best. However, it's kind of like when a hairstylist is washing your hair after dying it & has a lot of commentary but you can't hear anything they are saying & you are totally freaked out you might look orange & heinous, only it's your mouth & oh, it's permanent. Again, that is probably a me problem coupled with paranoia & shame on me for living in CA this long & not learning nearly enough Spanish. Regardless of the pain (not every appointment just a good handful) & the cost, they did a fantastic job. The work was amazing & they definitely steered me in the right direction. They were very professional, courteous & never made me feel badly for my gross teeth. If you are looking for a new smile, this is a great place, just be sure to ask for what you need, & prepare yourself for putting in the work it'll take to get there. All the doctors and doctor's assistants in this office are quite friendly and nice. I enjoy my time here all the time. There's one big issue, though, and it is that they never use the required/protective vest on the patients when performing the quick x-rays, and sometimes do not put the machine close enough to the mouth to avoid the patient seeing the glow when the machine is turned on. I know some x-rays are quick, but you still need protection. Also, they forget to let the patient know beforehand that they'll be getting x-rays; the patient should be able to plan what they wear that day... We should not wear metal buttons or zippers down the center of the back, or even bras with metal fastenings. I am glad that this place is always trying to do their best to improve the customer's experience! I recommend this place all the time. read more

A normal fear is going to the dentist, especially when you've had an awful experience previously. I had different consult appointments set up before finding Cabrillo Dental through Elite Ortho, both share the same building location which is SO convenient. Many of the consults I had set up ranged from $90 to $299. Cabrillo actually has a reasonable price for their consults. After having my first appointment (one week ago), I cancelled the other appointments I had at other offices because my experience was stellar! Everything moves very fast and efficient here. I had my first dentist appointment to be approved for braces. It took 15 mins including a cleaning. My hygienist Carla, is literally one of the most wholesome and caring professional I have ever met. She flossed my teeth and for the first time ever in my life, it didn't feel like someone was jack hammering in between my teeth. Four days ago, I had 4 teeth extracted for braces and while the numbing shots were not my favorite, Dr. Nasery was awesome at letting me know that if I needed to stop to let him know. Within 20 mins of being numbed up he had all four teeth out and me on my way out the door. Extractions are not a fun experience, but the care I received and the up front communication really made this experience 10/10! Today, I had to go in for a filling and was attended to by a female doctor. I wish I would've caught her name. She was so sweet and also communicative. Very upfront with the plan. Literally the numbing shot barely hurt. Her and the hygienist were mindful of my extraction sites. My appointment was at 5pm and I was out at 5:30pm. Fastest filling ever. I typically enjoy coming to this dentist, as the office is very nice. They have tvs above each of the chairs and the office has great views. The staff is also very nice. With that said my most recent visit for a cleaning was bizarre. I had the dental hygienist change on me 5 times. The switching of people caused delays. One lady asked if I would be interested in Invisalign. I said I wasn't interested and then mid cleaning a orthodontist came in to talk to me about it. After that a new lady came in and started polishing and I had to tell her they haven't done the metal pick yet. They just seemed very disorganized this visit making it take much longer than it should have. If this were my first visit I'd give 2 stars but I know they weren't like this in the past. read more

Let's just say this review is LONG overdue as I have been coming to see Dr. Nassery and Dr. Salehi for the last 6+ years, and have always had a stellar experience. From the front office Staff, to the hygienist and Assistants, they are all the most Professional Team I have encountered in ANY dental office. These last couple weeks really did a number on me with an infection I had on one of my front teeth, which needed to be pulled to "take one for the team." WHAT? HUH?!? Long story short, if I didn't pull the tooth, the remaining front teeth would have to be pulled due to the infection spreading. I wasn't ready and definitely uncomfortable with having the procedure done. However, based on every experience I have had at this office, when they tell me it will be okay and smooth, they really mean it. Dr. Nassery suggested we attack the infection first, which we did, and then schedule the extraction because I was in so much pain. He prescribed antibiotics and pain killers if needed, and had me come back a week later. That was today! Got my front tooth pulled as if I went for a routine checkup... It was so easy and painless. I was in n out within an hour. His assistant Benny usually helps out when I am there and this guy is really good at keeping things energetic, positive, and comfortable. I've been going to Cabrillo Dental for several years. after years of fixing & patching my soft teeth, I wanted a better looking smile. Due to osteoporois, Im not a good candidate for implants. But, I am perfect for veneers or caps. the process took several weeks but was totally worth it. I have a brand new smile with great looking teeth. I get a lot of compliments.
