Good beer, nice place, but it was insult to injury when my girl accidently spilled her fresh (and first) beer. Not only did she have to ask for a refill after several minutes, we were charged for it and the server removed her original glass, which was still 1/4 full. When she asked why she was charged for a simple accident she was told the reason was "inventory." Really? How do they "inventory" all those free samples they pass out? Podunk service. Overall: super cute little brewery, cart of shared games, single stall inclusive restrooms, changing table, delicious IPAs The inside of this place looks so much different than the outside. 4 - I'd drive 30 minutes out of my way just to come here. Skip to the end to see my rating scale. If you've read any of my other brewery reviews, you know my top three considerations are outdoor seating (meaning it's dog friendly), convenient food choices, and of course the quality of the beer. They have a nice outdoor patio with Adirondack chairs and picnic tables. The inside area has more of the rustic/industrial/earthy feel that I dig, rather than a contemporary vibe. They also have a built-in sandwich shop that I didn't get to take advantage of on my visit. Our bartender was great - knowledgeable and friendly. The beer selection was small - just four choices of their own - but they did have a few guest taps with different varieties. The West Coast IPA I had was on point and I enjoyed every drop. Mama had an American Lager (outside her normal palate) that she appreciated. Next time we're within range, I'd be happy to go a little out of the way for a burger and a beer outside. 6 stars!!! I stopped in a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon while on a weekend birthday trip at Rocky Gap Resort with my gf and I am so glad we did. I've been to a lot of amazing breweries over the years in a multitude of states and this one is now one of my favorites and in my top 10. The brewery is located in what looks to be an old factory of some sort and I absolutely love when breweries preserve places like this instead of wasting building materials for new construction. The vibes and atmosphere are so much better when owners do this. Huge Props! We got there right after they opened so we were the first customers of the day. The bartender/server was super upbeat, smiling, happy, and fun to chat with. We chatted it up for a bit about various things and when she asked to see my ID she saw that my birthday was tomorrow and wished me a Happy Birthday and we talked about how great Aries men are ;) Ha! My girlfriend walked up to the kitchen to place the order and not long after that they brought out our chips and guacamole but something else too which I thought at first wasn't ours but my girlfriend lol and said I saw that hot dog on the menu and knew you'd love it so I ordered it for us to share. Love her :) Okay... let's talk about that freaking hot dog. Top 3 best hot dog I've ever ate. I was kinda amazed at how delicious it was tbh. I couldn't believe how many flavors were popping in my mouth every time I took a bite. My girlfriend said the same thing. We loved it. I literally went to the kitchen and told them that it was one of the best hot dogs I've ever had in my life. I think that made them happy. The chips and guacamole were great too and the guac was definitely made in house. Fifty percent of the house brews offered were hop centered ales. Now they only had four offerings brewed on site, but that got my attention. They are not brewing for the masses, they clearly are catering to beer lovers. The building is so cool. It was once a sock factory known for producing a seamless sock. My wife and I are into trying out any and all breweries we can. We stopped at this one on a nice Sunday afternoon after a farmers market in downtown. It wasn't very busy when we got there but soon it picked up as the afternoon opened up. My wife and I wanted to watch some football, try some beers and snacks. The inside is smaller then the actual outside building looks. Its like a warehouse setting. The bar is very nice and the back wall has thousands ( probably like 150 actually) different brewery stickers from all over. I'm sure they were swapped from customers. The ordering foods process was weird as you have to go to a little window and place your order there. You don't give it to the bartenders. As for the beers we had, we thought they were okay. The only beer I thoroughly liked was called " Poor Tom" Very tasty. The menu for the kitchen is small in numbers but big in flavor. At least just the nachos were. They were delicious. probably only big enough for 1 person but we ended up sharing them anyways to make room for more beer. The prices were not outrageous and seemed average. I tried the hefewitzen (too hoppy), the kolsh (too bitter), the Belgian pale ale (too bland) and finally settled on the troika porter, which I thought had a nice depth. Hidden Gem We decided against driving to a brewery outside of town and we're glad we did. We walked from the Country Inn to Cacapon Mountain Brewery - just 5-6 blocks. It's in a repurposed factory a block off the main drag. The beer was excellent and one was an award winner. There is a small food menu. Our charcuterie plate was decent. The staff was friendly.
