I have been shopping at Cacciatores for close to 20 years. The meat and seafood selection is extensive, and the counter staff will help you find and cut or order something for you if requested. The deli section has numerous cheeses and olives, many of which I'm unfamiliar with, but go ahead and be adventurous, there's some wonderful surprises! The wine selection is great, there's always something new to try. I especially like the pasta section-you can have a different type every night, when I go I stock up. The produce section is a favorite of mine, if you want red peppers this is the place to get them, big, beautiful and priced way lower than surrounding grocery stores. It can get very busy, especially in the evenings and weekends, and the staff-while generally pleasant and helpful- can seem a little distracted at times (Note, cashiers, quit texting and pay attention). I've been going to Cacciatore & Pizzo since Ybor City when we arrived in 1955 A.D. As a baby of two years old, I had no appreciation for the support of the local business owners. Glad to see these guys survived as a local family business importing the best from not only Italy, but other European countries. read more

The best Meat Market south of Corona, NYC NY

Great prices! $1.89 for a big potted herbs! Love the choices of olives. Great selection of cheeses, wines from around the world. We like going to get chorizo, salami, jamón. All their cured meats are great and good prices. A local market store with great selections! read more

I absolutely adore this little market. The offer a variety of items from fresh produce, wine, cheeses, freshly butchered meats, cookies, deli items, and other packages products. Some Good Notes About Cacciator Brothers: I love the staff in the deli/meat sections. They are always so friendly and helpful. I always go there for their homemade smoked chorizo, lean ground sirloin, short ribs, split chicken breasts (5lb bag for $10) and chicken breast deli meat. Hands down, you will not beat their prices and the quality of their meats is outstanding. Their fresh olives and mozzarella and some of their salads in the deli sections are equally outstanding. I really love geting produce from here because of how inexpensive everything is; however they don't have a huge selection of produce - they have the basics and then a little and sometime you do have to weed through the produce. It's not all 100% up to par but most of the time you can get stuff without having ot go through it too much. They also have the fresh herb plants - basil, parsley, thyme, etc for $1.89 a plant. I love that they have this option because the plant lasts forever instead of buying a little pouch that wilts u in under a week. I've gotten some really great discounted prices on the wines that they offer. They have a large selection too for such a little market. Cookies are home made and dropped off from a bakery in St. Pete. They are very fresh and delicious! They may seem pricey but you do get what you pay for. I had the rainbow almond paste cookies and the regular butter cookies sandwiched with jam and dipped in chocolate and covered in sprinkles. Some Not So Good Notes: The store is pretty crammed, I wish it was a little more spacious to get through the aisles. Also sometimes you do have to wait for a little bit the freshly butchered meats/deli section. Bottom Line: Rockstar little market, fresh butchered meats with prices that you can't beat and great deals on produce, cheeses and wines. read more

Cacciatore Bros has a good selection of meats, seafood, produce, and other products. The produce we have gotten was very good. Both the fresh mozzarella and cheddar cheese we bought there molded very quickly. We had some of their homemade chicken sausages, which were tasty. All their proteins always look very good. read more

BEST deli in the area hands down.. sandwiches, salads, cold cuts, fresh meats, chorizo, cheeses, wine... you name it. The quality is great. I haven't had anything from here that wasn't delicious. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this place! Great selection of different meats for amazing prices. We purchased aged steak for $4.99/lb, goat, rabbit, & all types of different meats (sorry, we are weird)! Low on fish selection, but it is a meat market & what they had was at a great price. We spent $100 for 1month worth of meat for two big eaters! I'd had been to this deli before loved it for it's fresh vegetables, meats, bread and lovely Italian feel. Everything is definitely very fresh and the store is so clean. However on this particular day I was going coming back from a long road trip and I was dreaming with an Italian sandwich. The first thing i could think of was Cacciatore since it is Italian/deli central in Tampa/Westchase area and reminds me so much of a deli in NYC. I went to the deli counter which was fairly empty (since it was the day after thanksgiving). I asked the guy at the counter if I could have an Italian sandwhich and he quickly pointed me to a pre-made sandwhich on the counter. I told him I wanted to do my own style with ham, salami, capicola and some other yummy ingredients. He finally obliged and began asking me what I'd like. I listed my preferences several times and walked away to look at their other deli selections. When I returned they told me that the cheese I wanted wasn't available, so I changed my preference. Then, the guy asked me a third time what I wanted on the sandwich and I reiterated my choices; he then asked me if I wanted mustard which wasn't even on my list. Still excited about my sammy, I then ask him if he could add a little Italian dressing to the sandwhich and he tells me he can give me a side of it and I can add it at home. At this point, I was just trying to be patient and said okay. I remembered how good a Sammy is pressed/heated and asked him if he could press it or heat it up and he said that they don't own a press, which was fine. I walked away one last time as he made the sandwhich and when I returned the guy tells me he apologizes but he doesn't have any Italian bread just Cuban for my Italian sandwich. That was absolutely it for me. I walked out. In essence that was my experience at the deli. I was not a happy camper. read more

This meat market is not the cleanest market around but I guess you get what you pay for. They have good deals ,but some the the meat looks way to dry. They have a ton of staff behind the counter that have been there forever, problem is I speak ENGLISH ONLY and sometimes there is a translation problem between the staff and I.great place to get lunch meat. I think I will stick with Land And Sea Market for my beef and seafood. read more

You want to cook Italian food? At least keep it some what close? I would 100% recommend you shop here. I don't buy my chicken anywhere else. There food is always fresh and they have amazing Caprese salad at their deli. I should of lowered my rating to a four because their bread is always hard. This is the ONLY place I purchase my beef (ground, steaks, roasts, fillets etc) and chicken! They ALWAYS have incredible prices on their basic meats (check out their FB page for insane savings) and the quality can't be beat anywhere in town. When they run specials, I will make the trip and stock my freezer accordingly. Make sure you remind the counter guys of the sale prices (often running several sale specials at the same time) or you'll end up paying much more. They have quite a bit of Italian, Cuban "specialty" items which is a nice treat to find in one store if you're looking for them or are in a pinch and don't want to make another trip somewhere else. Although they do have a small selection of veggies, fruits, prepared foods, canned goods, bread, dairy, wines, deli etc, I find their prices to be higher than other stores. I don't typically shop for those items because of it. The counter help is always courteous and helpful. read more
