I have been very pleased with Heritage Cleaners. The employees are very friendly and I haven't had any issues with the dry cleaning. About one week ago I went to pay with a credit card and they pointed to a new sign saying there is a 3.95% charge for using debit and credit cards. I quickly put my credit card back in my wallet and pulled out cash. As I pulled away I was deeply disappointed with their new fee since the amount seemed high to me. I did a little research and the average merchant fee is about 2% for credit cards and even less for debit cards. They are charging double the actual fee. I guess they could have raised dry cleaning prices and hid the amount within the higher prices, but to try to charge double their cost with a pass-down charge is excessive and a possible deal breaker.
