Tried to up charge and then add a new verbal policy to justify it. I called the shop as a prospective new customer for costs for 3 pc and 2 pc suits; gave the number of each, mentioned the sequins and rhinestones on each; was assured they could handle them and given the total cost (too expensive, but ok) Took them in along with another outfit we also discussed for alterations. (Alterations cost was much too expensive, so I decided not to). Went back the following day to pick up dry cleaning, which was ready as promised; she then gave a total that was $24 more than the original cost ($66). Unfortunately, I didn't read the reviews before initially taking my clothes (recommended by a friend), and fortunately I did before going back. As a new customer, I was hoping this place would work out, but the up charge was 1st; Then the lies that she never gave me the total of each piece before coming in, then the new verbal policy, that was never mentioned, that it's an additional charge for rhinestones, etc., on the clothing. We went back and forth as I challenged every lie until she wanted to give a 10% discount, which was not acceptable. Finally, she agreed to the original total given to m; she took my money, no apologies, no thank you for your service, no have a nice day, nothing. Reviews are very important of what to expect, good or bad. I let my guard down by not reading them first because of a recommendation, especially since I'm always writing reviews myself. Be careful. Joy Cleaners has been our cleaner since I moved to the area several years ago and they have done an amazing job for us. I thought a couple of my stained dress shirts were hopeless cases, but Joy made them look even better than new. The staff has always been friendly and helpful and I like how easy it is to drive in and out of the parking lot and drive-up window. Five stars! read more

UPDATE: I continue to bring my clothes to Joy Cleaners. My clothes come back perfect. Some of my shirts require washing and some dry-cleaning. I have, over the past 18 months, used Joy Cleaners as my cleaners of choice. The work is exceptional, the dry cleaning has no odors. The items that require washing are always cleaned, and perfectly ironed. No rips, tears, missing buttons etc. The prices are affordable, especially for someone on a fixed income. 5 Solid Stars and Highly Recommend. read more

Horrible crooks. Lost 6 of my shirts and called me a lair. Third time they have lost my clothes. I asked her just to check the back room, and she screamed at me. Her husband yelled "GET OUT! GET OUT! GET OUT!" in my face over and over and made my daughter cry. Find any other dry cleaner. read more

If they damage your shirt, they will claim it didn't happen there. Caused a small rip in a shirt sleeve and it was obvious it happened there. I didn't want it replaced just repaired. They even do alterations there but were unwilling to repair my shirt claiming "Sorry it not happen here". I have used this cleaners for years and this is the first, but I guess the 15 minutes of time towards a repair was worth more than my business. I will be finding a new place for my shirts and suggest you do to. read more

I have used the services of this group for many years. I have no complains whatsoever. I have had 3 cracked buttons and 1 issue with a shirt. This is not bad considering all the years of outstanding service. read more

They do a ok job when it comes to cleaning but the lady who runs this place SUCKS! She has a terrible attitude and doesn't know how to treat customers when their is a problem. I had a issue with my alterations and she didn't care. I will be taking my business elsewhere. If you are going to be in the business of customer care then learn how to treat people! read more

I took in an expensive trench coat for cleaning. When I started to remove the belt, as well as some belt like embellishments from the sleeves, the owner (a woman) insisted I leave them on, as she would clean them, too. I asked "Are you sure they won't get lost?" She confidently stated "No!" When I picked the coat and other items up, I was on my way to a meeting, and quite frankly, forgot to check for the items I had been concerned about. When I got to my meeting, I removed my coat from the plastic, and realized the belt was missing! My meeting lasted a couple of hours, and I immediately drove back to the cleaner. The owner suggested I dropped the belt on her property as I walked to my car! She insisted the coat had everything intact after she cleaned it. She admitted no wrongdoing. She offered to sew me a belt, but after checking on it a few times over a course of three months. She claimed she was still trying to find fabric to match my coat. She refused to financially compensate me for the loss of my coat...which had very visible belt loops, but no belt. I contacted the Madison County Better Business Bureau, to no avail. I was very upset, but had no recourse, but to let this go. I never returned to pick up my jacket. Take pics of the item you drop off and of the item you pick up. Never used her again because she obviously does not respect her customers. read more
