I was in the market for a reliable, low-mileage vehicle after spending approximately $8,000 on maintenance and repairs for my high-performance car. I noticed your dealership had a 2023 Toyota Corolla listed, which seemed like a great option. After speaking with Sara, a sales representative, I provided all the necessary documents to get pre-approved and prepared a $2,500 cash down payment. I was ready to finance the car and expected a smooth, straightforward process based on her assurances. To accommodate the purchase, I arranged for an early morning Uber, spending $50 to travel 40 minutes to the dealership. I aimed to arrive at 9:00 AM sharp, when the dealership opens, to finalize everything and get back to work by 10:30 AM. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but smooth. Upon arrival, I found no sales representatives or management on site. The first staff member didn't arrive until 9:15 AM, which already disrupted my schedule. This is a last resort place to buy a vehicle ONLY!! If you do have to purchase from Cactus Jacks make sure you make all your payments on time for at least 6 months and then refinance that thing so you can get away from them. I was done dirty by these folks. They've officially "added another notch to their lipstick case". The new tires the sales person seemed Soooooooooo excited to tell me about when I bought the vehicle are not the correct ones. In fact, per the tire shop, they are a hazard. WHAT?!?!?!? *heavy sigh* Now I'm left needing to buy new tires because "tires are not covered under warranty" said the maintenance guy. The only thing good I can say is there is a special financing program for UBER drivers. And, oh, they sell cars. Those are the only 2 reasons for 2 stars. Other than that please stay away. Try calling true fix there warranty/mechanic and they can't even look at my car for a month and they need to keep it when they get it for even longer. It has been 11 months & here is the good bad & ugly, with my experience of cactus jacks. I moved from 5 stars to 3 stars due to a couple factors. The Good: -cactus jacks got me into a car where no one else could or would (excuse of residence time plus 1 repo on record). -If you don't have insurance you can pay $60 bi-weekly for coverage ( mind you it is basic coverage but it is legal for the protection of the car only) -If you are trying to fix you credit cactus jacks does report to the credit bureaus The Bad: -I signed up for payments of $420 a month w/ payments being owed exactly 2 weeks from the date of car pickup ( wished they gave me more time before a payment was due but ok). -payments are due on how you get paid. Monthly, bi-weekly, I got paid bi-weekly at the time so they refused to allow monthly . (This is ridiculous who pays bi-weekly?) i wish there was a choice. Oh well desperate times -The interest is extremely high" it doesn't matter your credit" I am paying 25.20 percent $11.50 a day in interest. Total $8000 extra on a $15,000 loan even after my down payment ( another biting of the bullet) the KBB for car is $8600. This is definitely why the company is still in business. The ugly: -I pay my payment plus much extra every payment & no matter what I still get a call for my payment being late.. -I have made my payment a week early, on time, much earlier then a week then the due date but because you can only pay by phone ($15 charge) hell no.. or pay at Walmart $1.50 (which takes 4-9 days to post to account) This is literally the window of being early to being due to being late. I tried to be like "hey let me call Cactus jacks & give the payment confirmation number to a rep so it can be attached to my account so they know my account is paid "nope still called for account being late" I then was like ok let me make a months payment upfront "nope still get calls because the payment posts when due". I was told by rep this is based on how the system works. I have tried every way possible to not gain a call from cactus jacks because I PAY MY BILLS, but they still call. I am told it's an auto dialing system they use.. it's out of control & in reality feels like unnecessary harassment. -another thing is if you pay bi-weekly "which I am sure 99% of ppl are forced to do, there is 3 months of the year where you get paid 3 times. Cactus Jack's expects you to make that 3rd payment or will consider your account past due and then the calls really come in. This is extremely stressful & annoying & bothersome. (I really wish this was explained when signing for the loan). Here's the kicker With the payment not processing (if not paying over the phone) payment is not received until 4-9 days & you throw in a 3rd payment at random due to pay cycle in a 30 day window I get like 8 calls a day" even if the amount is paid & confirmation is given to a rep. ABSOLUTE INSANITY.... This is the main reason I have decided to get the F out of my loan. -FYI keep every receipt & payment you ever make & be ready to argue your case. I have had a couple times where Cactus jacks states they never received a payment in almost 2 weeks after being due, even after I called in the confirmation number beforehand, after paying the payment early & had to argue that it was paid already I read the receipt to them directly, even after that I still had to argue & prove that account was paid early, once the realize or actually listen to what you are saying they say " oh payment hasn't posted yet" give it a couple days more "I WILL NOTATE ACCT" so infuriating -also Whoever the manger guy is that you will be transferred to if the rep can't help you or gets stumped on a question is the rudest, nastiest person ever. He will yell at you, Degrade you & hang up on you. GET HIM THE HELL OUT OF THERE....!!!! In the end I give them 3 stars & have decided to at this point save up & buy a car in cash & give my car to a family member that is able to pay off the full loan. 1. to beat the interest amount & 2. I am over the experience altogether & ready to just get into a car that is paid off & owe no one nothing. This dealership sells cars that you can drive off the lot but when you get back in the car it doesn't start. You call them to tell them and their answer is "Oh that's weird." It took two weeks before the mechanic could even look at the car to see what was wrong with it. Meanwhile I was without a working car for the first two weeks and of course they wanted the first payment two weeks after I purchased the piece of junk, for the two weeks the car wasn't working. This place didn't even wash their cars before they sell them or put gas in them. When I got in the lemon the gas light was on. I asked them to put gas in it and they said they would put enough gas for the light to go out. Also, they charged me over $500 for document fees and tags, which cost less than $60. This place is the biggest rip off. The one that is in Mesa. We had a great experience at the one on Camelback in Phoenix and that's why we went back to a Cactus Jack's. If you go there, don't let them know if you're desperate for a car because we did and they took total advantage of our situation. Worst people ever to deal with.​ read more

Not only did they not fix it but there customer service just stinks. The manager at the Mesa location is rude and nasty. Absolute nightmare. Pro Tip: Check the Yelp reviews!! Stay away from this place. The kind of horror stories you hear about and think would never happen to you. We're in the process of filing a lawsuit. Luckily I just sold my home and we're in a position to do it. I'm so pissed. Boyfriend bought a car and it's broken down 3 times in the past month. This was his first car from a dealership and they practically raped him. It was an old Pontiac with 100,000 miles on it. Blue book value is $3,000 and they sold it to him for $10,000. Which would be bad enough, but not criminal. The problem is it's not running. AGAIN. For the third time this month. This has been the most stressful experience and they won't do a damn thing about it. The transmission is slipping, the control arm is done and the fuel pump went out twice in a row. We've used up all our tows (two AAA policies worth) just getting it there because they won't help us tow it ever, even though they sold us a car that will not run. It just broke down the same day we got it back and for the same thing it was just in for. They are demanding we pay the $300 deductible again to fix it. So to recap, in order to have this car we just bought a MONTH ago in safe running condition we need to shell out $1200 and then it breaks down again. The worst part is he's a delivery driver so he hasn't even been able to work. The auto shop quotes him one to two weeks each time to fix it. Meanwhile, again, he's not even working. I can't even express the stress this has caused our lives, nor the rudeness and unhelpfulness we've experienced every time we've contacted any department in this company. He's out of work with a busted car having to pay for repairs AGAIN and he asked them to give a skip on one months payment. They told him they'll to go to collections if he doesn't continue to pay the obscene 450/ month payment. Which of course, might be affordable if the car wasn't continuing to break down each day we get it back from the shop. He told them that he's about to just let them have it and deal with the repo on his record and they said "Sorry, even if you let us have the car back you still have to continue your payments its in the contract." And I can see why they put that in the contract. This place is the epitome of a snaky corrupt car dealership, I have no idea where any of the good reviews are coming from. Maybe these are from people employees. Or maybe they are just from employees. Or more experienced buyers who were less easy to take advantage of. But this place does not at all care about what it's selling and will sell you a car with mechanical defects if they think there's even a chance they can get away with it. Make sure your car has a gas cap before you sign on that dotted line and please for the love of tacos, MAKE SURE YOUR AC WORKS. I Bought a van from these people because I was in a desperate situation with no credit and very little down. The van I bought was 3,000 dollars over market value and it had numerous mechanical problems. They're bank AUTO NOW FINANCIAL SERVICES. Is shady! You can't pay in person and if you miss two payments which are BI WEEKLY, they will harass you and threaten to repossess your car. They tell you the payment of the vehicle upfront but exclude the fact that you are required to pay for the gap coverage. They offer an extended warranty but under certain conditions, 300 deductible and you have to take it to their mechanics at true fix. Which can take as long as 12 weeks for even simple repair jobs. They're not bad people, but they do take advantage of the corporate protections that Arizona consumer law provides. Like the lack of a lemon law. If you do need a car. Buy a Toyota or something cheap to fix and very dependable. Don't by a luxury car and don't by a dodge or Chrysler van like I did. read more

Box bill, your payment takes 10 days to be returned and they then try to hit you with a late fee. I send all my payments Certified and Money Order to stay away from WalMart (which is their preferred method of payment, NOT) or they want your bank account information (seriously NOT)! Serious, but great sense of humor. I had Hazen as our sales rep. He was a very soft hearted gentleman! Saw me getting stressed and handed me the keys to the van we were buying and told me to go for test drive - I was too stressed but I did go sit in it and start the engine. They all were honestly trying to make the buying process as easy as possible! I am in love with our new to us van - it has so many working bells and whistles - it puts our previous van to shame - and I liked it, but, I love this one! Big Scammers. They have you do a review before you even leave the lot, so half of these reviews are probably done before they actually use their cars before they actually drive them. I've had a car for about a month that I paid over double what it's worth and I've had nothing but problems with it n the worker said it'll be fixed by "their shop" but when I need something done they got nothing to do with it bc "they aren't part of them" they just use all these words to try n get around the problem. I spoke with a Rep named Hazen, about 2 weeks ago. I explained my situation, Hazen said to come on in and he would take care of me. I told him when I would be back, and he encouraged me to talk with him and he would get me driving off the lot. I came in today, and started the process. Hazen wasn't in (hes on a vacation he didnt mention when I was there last) Ken was short with me, and not very friendly. Then another guy, (a manager?) Ran my credit while I was getting references. Only to be told that they can't and won't work with me, only after running my credit. I won't be back. And I don't have anything positive to say about them. Hazen sold us junk. I bought the car on 7/17. Today is 7/25 and I am sitting on the side of the road on HWY 93 on a very hot day because my car died. I bought the car so I can go see my dying father. I called the dealer to ask for help and both Hazen and someone named Bob gave me a "sucks for you" attitude and said to call the service dept. On Monday. Its Saturday. I asked if they have tow service. They said no. It will cost over $500 to tow. Bob said they sell reliable vehicles but I told him if they did, we wouldn't be stranded. We trusted them. Buyer beware. Great place to buy a car if you have less than perfect credit. I got an 05 Malibu back in dec 2013 that I will be paying off in the next month. The monthly payments are affordable and they reported every month to the credit agency, which has helped my credit. I had ran into an issue last year where I needed to make payment arrangements and they had worked with me every time. The only thing that I've had to fix on my vehicle was a water pump, everything else was regular maintenance to keep up on. I would definitely recommend this place if you don't have the credit! read more

Honestly I wouldn't recommend Cactus Jack's Auto because they sold me a car with a ton of problems. It's costing me way more than it's worth. They failed to let me know anything was wrong with my vehicle. The first week I had my vehicle, it breaks down and i wasn't charged for service. My car broke down again after that, power steering goes out while I'm driving and my alternator belt snaps. They want me to pay the same amount I pay for my car plus for towing it.
