For a guy that has only bought cars in person and after a test drive, I was very reluctant on buying sight unseen. Especially, the type of cars they have. HOWEVER, Jeff and his team were amazing with communication, pricing, and most importantly, transparency. Pricing, they were fair. Process, they made it very easy to have it shipped and inspected. Professionalism, Jeff was great and no on there seemed to be a "car salesman", but genuine people helping you find the car you want. Lastly, patience, they were able to walk me through all parts of the car via Facetime, up until the shipping, without ever complaining, even if I asked a question twice. And the added bonus, they gave me a 15 day warranty post purchase, which provided a lot of reassurance in purchasing from out of state. When the car arrived, I had it inspected one more time and it was as described. I highly recommend them. Main thing being is transparency. I hate to say this, but after dealing with these people for just two days, I am very dissappointed and upset with how they treated me, and I will explain to you why. I'm located in Los Angeles, and I started dealing with Jeff and his crew since this Monday when I found a great deal they had advertised on Craigslist for a 2010 4Runner Limited 4WD. It was originally posted about 25 days prior, and then reposted about a week before I saw it, so I figured, there's a good chance it's still available. Anyway, I received an answer Monday morning saying that the car was in fact still available, so I realized I was in the clear, and that I was this close to getting the car, being that the description and photos appeared solid. I have been shopping for these vehicles for a weeks now from everywhere you could imagine (Craigslist, AutoTrader, KBB, private sellers, independent dealers, auctions, etc.). This vehicle seemed perfect, but I had to make sure given the fact that it's located hundreds of miles away from me. Additionally, the CarFax report showed two documented instances of rear end collisions, so I absolutely had to make sure. So I told Jeff on Monday #1 where I was from, #2 that I'm a serious buyer, and #3 that I'm willing to make the trip to Arizona in a matter of days (even though I've never been there before) once everything checked out. He seemed completely okay with that, and so then I asked him to send me additional photos of the car of areas not pictured before on his ad nor on his website, and he obliged with no problem. I was happy with what I saw, and expressed to him and his crew MORE THAN ONCE on the SAME DAY, that I will have the pictures inspected by my bodyman/mechanic within a matter of 1-2 days, and get the final approval before confirmation and making travel arrangements to Arizona. I don't remember Jeff's words exactly, but it most likely went along the lines of him saying that he wanted me to place a deposit on the car so that he can mark it as sold ahead of time. Mind you, like many other people, I don't trust dealerships because of their HORRENDOUS reputation, so that's part of the reason why I didn't do this. In his defense, I take fault for not asking him (nor reading the terms on his website, if there are any) on whether or not this deposit was refundable, and whether or not it could have been done online: but worst of all, AS A CUSTOMER, I MADE THE WRONG ASSUMPTION THAT JEFF WOULD TAKE MY WORDS DISCUSSED WITH HIM OVER THE PHONE (AS THE CUSTOMER) SERIOUSLY, AND ON GOOD FAITH. Apparently, everything that was discussed over the phone fell on deaf ears. I messaged Jeff's crew THE NEXT MORNING, YESTERDAY, asking for additional pictures; then I get this response, delivered here in verbatim: "Hey good afternoon! Unfortunately someone purchased the vehicle last night and shipped it out this morning! I appreciate your interest in one of our cars here at JBAMOTORS." In other words, it says "Go Fuck Yourself" with a smile. I responded calmly by saying "To be honest, I call that bullshit, but thanks for your help anyway." When I asked Jeff what the deal was after receiving this text message from his crew, he appeared to played dumb and asked "what do you mean what's going on?" After I clarified, he said "Oh, that vehicle was sold at 2 o'clock this morning online. It shipped out already this morning." Well done Jeff. Well done. Needless to say, I am very angry with him and his crew, because they literally had ZERO CONSIDERATION OF MY PURSUIT FOR THIS CAR. ABSOLUTELY NO INTEGRITY!! They knew I was interested in the vehicle as a serious buyer (I believe it was Jake who I first messaged saying that I wanted to finance the car), and they also knew I was coming from out of state, but they didn't even bother letting me know what happened until I just so happened to have messaged them about something else. What a waste of time. This is not how you treat your customers Jeff. Again, I do take responsibility for some of this mess, but at the same time, they knew ahead of time that they he had a serious and diligent buyer. read more

Memorial Day weekend, DH located a luxury SUV online that he was interested in. Despite it being a Sunday, he called and left a vm, figuring he'd get a call back on Tuesday. Josh called him back with 15 minutes. Polite, informative---we made arrangements to visit JBA to view and test drive the vehicle. Arrived JBA with a number in our head. As advertised, the vehicle was "cherry". Met with salesperson Jeff, who gladly answered all our questions then sent us off for the test drive on our own, which allowed us to enjoy the vehicle without a hovering salesperson. Arrived back to start the dickering, DH's favorite part. He threw a figure out. Jeff countered with a number within our range. Oh. Ninety minutes after our arrival at JBA, we are owners of a new SUV. It had one small issue (we did take over to a dealer to have it checked out, per Judge Judy!) and Jeff wrote the repair into the contract. When the part came in a couple of days later, I took the vehicle down for the repair. JBA was sure how long the repair would take, so they sent me home in a loaner. A few hours later, they had their assistant deliver our repaired and freshly detailed (again!) to Cave Creek so I didn't have to drive back down to Mesa. Great buying experience, great customer service---we have every intention of making JBA our first stop the next time we are call shopping! read more

My experience with Jake was the best car buying experience I've had. He is very busy, but yet extremely responsive by email. He is CLEAR up front that he doesn't hold cars without a non-refundable deposit, and if you spend an hour at the facility you'll see why. Lots of calls and offers being placed on cars constantly.
