    Crispy chicken club. Zucchini appetizer.
    Colleen E.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I rate the place highly on the ambience and beer selection.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outdoor seating is really nice and seeing a band there is a great setup.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was just meh. Had the crispy chicken club. Taste was there and I could get past it wasn't a club in the typical sense of the word, but the chicken was not crispy at all. The coating was soggy. Same with the rolled zucchini. Soggy. The appetizer was overpriced for portion and quality. Our waitress was good and service was good. I would go back to see a show but not sure I'd order food.

Cadence Clubhouse doesn't disappoint. Pizza is great! Service is amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Music plays but it's not too loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place for a Happy Hour meeting[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great spot to grab a bite to eat after walking in North Park.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unfortunately the coffee bar changed and is much more limited. They have a large draft beer list and a diverse food menu. I also appreciate the grab and go items. We got crudite, and it was a fresh, tasty dish. Service was a little disorganized but very friendly. We will stop back to try some more menu items.

The good: Staff was friendly and quick. TVs had on March madness. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a nice open space inside. Tables are outside for seating as well and what looks like a small stage for music around the side.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Although I just had a drink, the menu boasted daily specials such as pizza for $10. It's in a good location about halfway around the north park 5-mile loop from the boathouse. The bad: really pricey, it was about $7 pre-tip for a miller lite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a sports bar type of environment (as opposed to the strip district location which is more upscale) so the expensive draft was unexpected.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It's not often that you stumble upon a bike shop, taproom, coffee bar, restaurant, music venue all on one, right next to a park. Kudos to Cadence for doing it all, would be here way more often to take advantage of the events, music, and supplies they have to offer if I lived closer. 10/10 for the bright, open, lodge-like surroundings and friendly service all around... Sandwiches were good enough, the meat on the Korean bbq was a bit tough and I think the veggie sandwich may have been better as a wrap in my opinion, it was a bit too much bread, I would've chose something different than the carrot-like dressing. It was surely unique but I would like to try something else next time! Looking forward to coming back and hopefully sitting outside when the weather is nice!

They cater to outdoor enthusiasts, and the food is excellent. The views through the sprawling windows are stunning, with lots and lots of natural light. There's a great tap list. I'm not a fan of the pop music they have playing, but I'm probably in the minority. A very attentive staff.

Visited Cadence for lunch and brews after walking the 5 mile loop around North Park Lake. Loved the vibe, that it is connected to Pro Bike and Run, and that it is conveniently located off the lake loop! Super casual and great to come as you are from the park. Also while we were there, someone was having a bridal shower in the back and it seemed like such an easy breezy casual spot to hold a shower. *keeping this spot in mind for any future friend's showers The service was efficient and kind. We each had a salad, added chicken to both for a small additional fee. I had the orzo salad and it was divinely flavored. The brew list was lengthy and there's something on the list for everyone. Will absolutely return!

To my surprise it was dead for a 70° day in March, but we sat outside. There was no music or background noise so if you weren't talking or with someone it was awkwardly silent. After a few minutes we had a very nice server come wait on us, we both got a beer and ordered the nachos. I noticed the menu was nearly cut in half from what was online, and the waitress explained they were short staffed in the kitchen. Totally get it, but the $12 nachos came out in maybe 3 minutes, a handful of tortilla chips, some beer cheese, "pico" (diced tomatoes), and half melted sprinkled cheese. We ordered the chicken sandwich and pork sandwich, both very tasty-- but over priced for the amount of protein you're getting. The chips were okay, but the buns on both sandwiches were just about burnt. Not going to rave about the food, but definitely a nice spot to enjoy the weather and have a beer. It's a great space and location during the Summer! I really hope things are able to improve before I give it another shot.

We stopped in for drinks and I had very high hopes. The space is large and beautifully decorated. The downfall is that it is filthy. There were several flies bothering us the entire time we were there. From the time we sat down, to the time we received drinks it took a little under an hour. Some people at our table ordered appetizers and I wasn't really impressed with them, it didn't look like quality food at all (I didn't even ask to take a picture for Yelp) I'm not sure if I would come back here to give it a second chance. We were there around 3PM on a weekday, I couldn't imagine how it would be here during busier times!

On my second visit, I ordered a margarita with chips and salsa. The kitchen was very accommodating and allowed me to substitute a double order of salad instead of the usual salsa and guacamole, which I appreciated. Walking into BJ's is like opening a phone book from 1997. The menu is absolutely limitless. Page after page after page of "Sure, we can make that too." If you've ever thought, "I wish one restaurant served pizza, pasta, burgers, tacos, steaks, salads, and probably auto parts," BJ's has you covered. The restaurant is huge and has a long bar. World Cup Soccer was playing...seemed like it could be a fun place to watch sports. We started with beers, a glass of wine, and the spinach artichoke dip. The dip arrived quickly, which was impressive. The dip itself? Perfectly adequate. Not bad. Not good. Just existing. It was the Switzerland of appetizers. Next up, a salad and the burrata pizza. Fair warning: the pizza that arrived appeared to have only a passing acquaintance with the glamorous model featured in the menu photo. Apparently, the menu photographer deserves a raise. The salad and pizza hit the table, but our drinks were still on a spiritual journey somewhere between the bar and our booth. Thankfully, we had water, because dehydration was beginning to feel like a real possibility. Eventually the drinks arrived and we dug in. The pizza was... mediocre. Not offensively bad. Not memorable. Just aggressively average. Somehow it also managed to be dry, which is an impressive achievement for pizza. We asked for extra sauce, and our server happily brought out a cup. Unfortunately, the sauce appeared to have come directly from a refrigerator..... Nothing says "fresh pizza enhancement" quite like cold, cold marinara. To be fair, our server was pleasant, friendly, and genuinely trying his best. He was easily the highlight of the meal. Will we be back? Probably not. With a menu that large, you'd think they'd eventually stumble into greatness. On this visit, they mostly stumbled into mediocrity.

Yes, it's a strip mall, but don't let that fool you. Allusion is a beer oasis tucked between life's greatest challenges: renewing your license and resisting discount snacks. Inside, it's clean, cozy, and no frills, which is exactly what you want when the beer is doing all the talking. And let me tell you, the beer has a lot to say. We tried the 1810 Oktoberfest and As You Wish (which made me feel like I was being serenaded by Wesley from The Princess Bride), and both were excellent. We also grabbed a Buffalo Chicken Wrap and a Reuben, each paired with a cup of clam chowder that was creamy, comforting, and possibly made with magic (or butter, which is basically the same thing). The proprietor was friendly, knowledgeable, and doing everything short of brewing the beer mid-conversation. Honestly, if he'd started juggling pint glasses, I wouldn't have been surprised. Long story short: the beers are top-notch, the food hits the spot, and the vibe is low-key awesome. Allusion has earned a spot on our regular rotation, and possibly a spot in our hearts.
