Food was good, but not the best Mexican I've had I. Pittsburgh. Didn't have that "authentic" Mexican flavor I typically look for when I'm out, it tasted more like something I would make from home. Fish was good in the tacos, but sort of overstuffed which made it hard to eat. I asked for a Dos Equis on draft and whatever I got, Was definitely not that. Don't know if the keg was bad or she poured my wrong drink. Setup inside is traditional Mexican flare, we sat in the bad area.

Not a fan of Mammcita's. Expensive Mexican. Not a lot of people in the restaurant. And where do they seat us, By the door. They give you water in a bottle that is warm. Ask for ice in a different glass. Ask for extra napkins because if you order a margarita it will drip the brown sugar they put on the glass all over the table. Or better yet tell them to skip the brown sugar. Our meals were just ok. Had beef fajitas, chicken fajitas, enchiladas. Oh and the flour tortillas were only 3 inches. Another mess because you couldn't wrap it. I was so worried about getting something on my dress. There are better Mexican restaurants to go to with a much better experience. So if you want expensive gourmet like Mexican go here. They didn't even ask how I wanted my steak. Oh and you want chips that is extra. They are only there to take your $$, unfortunately too many restaurants are becoming like this.

This wasn't the worst dining experience I've had, but I also definitely won't be returning. Let me start with a preface: we had a group of 24 people & I understand that it is not easy to cater to this many people at once. I was disappointed that they didn't offer chips & salsa as a free starter option, especially because this seems pretty standard at most Mexican restaurants. They also did not offer sides of guacamole, only the $16 full portion of it (I just wanted to add some to my nachos). The menu is not very allergen friendly, which is why I chose such a simple meal. Luckily they did not add any dairy products per my request! A lot of us had cold food, which again, I absolutely understand it's tricky to keep 24 meals hot, but I really wish they would have just brought the food out to each of us as it was ready. I'm sure everyone would have preferred that over cold food. The nachos were pretty decent otherwise; however, I do feel like there wasn't enough meat on them. The taste of the food was pretty good! So it's definitely not a horrible place to eat, just not something I found to be worth my money.

This is good, suburban American-Mexican fare. I would not say that this is authentic Mexican but that doesn't mean it was bad. We ordered take out & we're satisfied with the taste, portion sizes. We did order the Tres Leches & it was really yummy but we kept finding aluminum foil pieces throughout some bites. See pics. I forgot to call & tell them about that. I would come here to dine in.

I arrived a skeptic. Red flags: golf not Telemundo on tv. Doobie brothers on the radio in the kitchen. To say the least I was scared. Not excited that I had to pay for chips and salsa, but after tasting the salsa my brothers and sisters it is totally worth it. Best Salsa in Pittsburgh probably the entire east coast. The chips are also fantastic. For me the measure of a good Mexican restaurant comes in their Enchiladas Suizas. They did not disappoint. The chicken was seasoned perfectly. One bite and the flavor explodes in your mouth. I didn't like the sauce as much as straight Tomatillo but it grew on me. We will definitely eat here again! I arrived a skeptic. I left a believer!

The place is bright, clean, and has a fresh vibe. Service was decent--just a bit slow, but they were busy on a Thursday evening, so it's understandable. I had the fish tacos, which were good. You get three small ones for $17, which feels a bit steep, I got corn and they were purple but it was happy hour, so at least the drinks were cheaper. Honestly, the biggest downside wasn't the food or service--it was the other patrons. Lots of people letting their kids run wild and others acting a little too stuck-up for my taste. Will try again.

I had such a great time at Mamacita's that I'm baffled by the low rating. The service was quick, the food and drinks were DELICIOUS! It was a little pricey, but it's not just your basic Mexican food - it's more of an upscale version. We got the mamacita bowl, chimichanga, and the queso fundido. Everything was perfectly hot and so good! My drink was so unique too - the Shrek had mezcal, lime juice, infused agave orange liqueur, AVOCADO, mint and orange juice. I've never had avocado in my cocktail before, I'm here for it! We'll be back again!

A lot of Emiliano's remains. Only half of the restaurant is open - the bar side. Floral accents have covered a lot of the walls. Pretty chandeliers have been added. With only half the seating, I had the choice of bar or wait for a table. When I left, there were a lot of people waiting for tables. Started with a blueberry mojito. There were 4 bartenders working hard making drinks and taking food orders. At the recommendation of my bartender, I had the Chimicurri dip as an appetizer. Toasted bread with marinated feta. Enjoyable but difficult to dip. More spoonable. The Fiery Quesadilla with shrimp was the best that I have had in a long time. The shells were crispy then food add to the shells. The dipping sauces - no idea what they were - were good. Ended the meal with churros. Six to an order with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. I took 3 churros home. I'll be back and bring friends.

Went with my girlfriend and had a good experience. It's a nice building for one with the modern flower wall aesthetics that the new crowds love for photo op reasons. Our server was nice, sweet and patient. I'm from the south so I always feel Mexican food up north is overpriced but we happened to go on taco Tuesday, so it was more bareable (I ended up ordering 8 of them, not pictured lol) But would def return; my girlfriend says the burrito was good...not stop you in your tracks amazing but did its job. Nice restaurant

The food was delicious! We loved everything we ordered. The queso and chips, "fried pollo sammich," one veggie bowl with fresh avocado, a burrito... all so good. All three of us ordered the chipotle sauce with our meals and loooved it. The music was great and the decor was fantastic, the whole vibe was a lot of fun. I loved the faux plants and lighting fixtures. It was stayed busy the whole time we were there, despite us arriving at the tail-end of happy hour. Our server was sweet and kept the refills coming. Because it was a busy Friday night, there were some longer stretches of time where no one stopped by our table. Not a big deal but it did take us awhile to get our bill, and then again to get our receipt. We will definitely be back again. There were a lot of Casa Specialties and fun drinks we want to try.

I've been to Mamacita several times since opening and it does not disappoint for modern Mexican food. Portions are appropriately sized. I don't enjoy over eating when I'm out. Quality over quantity for me. Once the renovations are complete, this will be a great place to visit.

As usual, I forgot to take the photo before tore into it . Atmosphere is great. Service wasnt the best but the grilled romaine salad was spot on!

We saw this place just opened up not too long ago, so we figured we give it a try. The decor and overall aesthetic is so nice. My man said it gave love island vibes. I really wanted to try something different, so I got the rosemary margarita. It was definitely spicy, and you could taste the freshness of the jalapeños. But the food... WOW. So delicious, we wanted to order more after we finished. I've never had such good birria before. I highly recommend giving this a try if you're looking to try something new. And the service was fabulous, even though they were pretty full on a Tuesday we didn't wait long for anything. And our waitress was so nice and patient with us. We can't wait to go back.

Situated on North Park lake right next to the kayak livery with ample parking in the park, this is an ideal place to cool off and get some sustenance after your park activities. There is a bar area and indoor seating, as well as a nice waterfront patio with lots of tables with umbrellas if shade is needed. Good selection of craft and mass produced beer choices as well as other cocktails. Some interesting appetizers like spring rolls and house dip with chips as well as pretzel sticks and beer cheese. There can be a wait during the lunch and dinner hours, but it's worth it. The first impressions are amazing. The inside is small but nicely decorated. Your eyes want to dart around and take in all of the elements that surround you. On our last visit, I was surprised by a bike hidden up in a ceiling nook I had never seen before. The whole restaurant has a breathtaking view of the man-made lake at North Park. Be sure to sit outside so you can take in as much of the view as possible. The atmosphere is abuzz with activity: there are runners taking on the 5-mile loop around the lake, there are kayakers and stand-up paddle boarders setting off to explore the far reaches of the lake, and there are birds and turtles and fish livin' their best life. My family and I have found our favorites on the menu: the Bike Lane BLT and the Chimichurri Chicken Bowl. Both are really good, but we tend to lean toward the BLT. It's just so unique! The kids' meals also come with a cute little surprise: the plate is a frisbee that they get to take home. How cool is that? North Park is easily one of my favorite places in Pittsburgh, and this is just another reason why.

Walking into BJ's is like opening a phone book from 1997. The menu is absolutely limitless. Page after page after page of "Sure, we can make that too." If you've ever thought, "I wish one restaurant served pizza, pasta, burgers, tacos, steaks, salads, and probably auto parts," BJ's has you covered. The restaurant is huge and has a long bar. World Cup Soccer was playing...seemed like it could be a fun place to watch sports. We started with beers, a glass of wine, and the spinach artichoke dip. The dip arrived quickly, which was impressive. The dip itself? Perfectly adequate. Not bad. Not good. Just existing. It was the Switzerland of appetizers. Next up, a salad and the burrata pizza. Fair warning: the pizza that arrived appeared to have only a passing acquaintance with the glamorous model featured in the menu photo. Apparently, the menu photographer deserves a raise. The salad and pizza hit the table, but our drinks were still on a spiritual journey somewhere between the bar and our booth. Thankfully, we had water, because dehydration was beginning to feel like a real possibility. Eventually the drinks arrived and we dug in. The pizza was... mediocre. Not offensively bad. Not memorable. Just aggressively average. Somehow it also managed to be dry, which is an impressive achievement for pizza. We asked for extra sauce, and our server happily brought out a cup. Unfortunately, the sauce appeared to have come directly from a refrigerator..... Nothing says "fresh pizza enhancement" quite like cold, cold marinara. To be fair, our server was pleasant, friendly, and genuinely trying his best. He was easily the highlight of the meal. Will we be back? Probably not. With a menu that large, you'd think they'd eventually stumble into greatness. On this visit, they mostly stumbled into mediocrity.
