The seafood was excellent. We loved the oysters and the tuna sushi that you roll yourself--it was fun and delicious. The potato chips with Iberian ham and manchego were incredible and one of the most memorable bites of the night. Service was outstanding. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. The desserts were also fantastic. The labneh ice cream was completely out of this world, and the olive oil cake was excellent as well. A couple of small notes: the endive salad wasn't our favorite because it was covered in onions, which wasn't mentioned and unfortunately I really dislike onions. Also, the pork chop tasted amazing but we did notice toward the end that part of it was a bit undercooked. That said, overall the meal was excellent and we had a really great time. Definitely a memorable dining experience in St. Michaels.

We tried a little bit of everything on the menu - the bread, oysters, cucumber salad, scallops, fries, rigatoni, and two desserts. Everything was incredible - creative yet comprehensible and decent portions for a more expensive restaurant. If you go during the 4-6pm window you'll have access to happy hour with discounted house wines and a few dishes. Jordan was our server and was great at convincing us to try certain things that later became an obsession (cucumber salad). Great lighting, lots of bench seating, and quick service. I'd go out of my way to eat here again and would recommend everything on the menu!

We arrived a bit early and were seated immediately, which set the tone for a relaxed and welcoming evening. We started with the baked oysters, foie gras and bone marrow appetizers--both were absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. For dinner, my wife had the sword fish, I had the veal chop, and my son had the seafood gumbo. Each dish was incredible, cooked perfectly, and full of flavor. We finished the night with the crème brûlée, which was prepared to perfection and was the perfect ending to a memorable meal. The entire staff was A+ across the board, including owner/exec chef Doug and his lovely wife Jenn, who clearly care deeply about both the food and the guest experience. Don't let the quaint town of St. Michaels fool you--this gem is absolutely worth the visit.

Unfortunately, it was lack luster; more shell than crab and mostly devoid of flavor. I'll admit that being from the lowcountry I have a high bar for crab soup and this didn't come close to meeting it. The truffle fries were delicious and it was fun to sit at the bar and watch the kitchen action. Our waiter was attentive but when the bill arrived we had been charged for drinks we didn't order. This is not as uncommon in tourist towns as one would hope. I lived in Nantucket long enough to always go over the bill with a careful eye.

The view is definitely the best thing about this restaurant, but that's where the positives end. I ordered the seafood stew, and it was unbelievably oily--so much so that I couldn't finish it. The seafood soup tasted like something that came straight out of a can. Ironically, the Philly cheesesteak sandwich was the cheapest item we ordered, yet it ended up being the best dish on the table. The service was also very disappointing. There were hardly any other customers around, yet our server was extremely slow and rarely checked on us. Even when we were clearly trying to get the check, we waited forever. Meanwhile, we could hear staff laughing and chatting in the kitchen, but no one seemed interested in helping customers. To make matters worse, there were flies everywhere throughout the restaurant, and no one appeared to be doing anything about it. It made the dining experience even less enjoyable. Overall, the waterfront setting is beautiful, but the food quality, service, and cleanliness issues outweighed the view. We won't be returning and would not recommend it based on our experience.
