Smoked chicken wings, asparagus with cream, and charcuterie board by candlelight
    Alex B.

Came here for a late dinner on my first night of a trip to Copenhagen. This little cafe is so adorable at night, and felt very "hygge" - at least to what my understanding of hygge is as an American. The place is cozy and relaxed with candlelit tables and comfortable benches, and extremely friendly service. For 2 people we ordered 3 items off the "snacks" section of the menu - smoked chicken wings, asparagus with cream, and a ham charcuterie board - plenty of food for 2 people. Everything was super tasty, but the best thing we ordered were 2 homemade lemonades - one ginger and one mint. Never have I had a lemonade drink better tasting than this! Hot chocolate for dessert was delicious as well. Overall - wonderful service, delicious food, best lemonade on earth, and adorable cozy atmosphere.

Baked goats cheese with caramel sauce and baked lettuce on toast with some hazelnut

10-15 mins away from forum metro, this cafe is pretty spacious. Menu was written in both Danish and English. Yay! The tables get filled pretty quickly, we were lucky to get the last table when we got there at 2pm. My cappuccino was nice and strong. I ordered baked goats cheese and lettuce with caramel hazelnut sauce on toast. I didn't expect a full small rind of goats cheese would come out, but it did. It was super delicious! Really glad I ordered it. The baked lettuce was yum and gave the food a taste of freshness to balance the goats cheese. Would definitely ordered this again.

    The Standard Brunch

For once, I was going for brunch. I usually enjoy making brunch myself at home, but this time I was gonna try it somewhere else. My and my friends have walked past this café quite a few times, and finally decided on trying it. I ordered a coffee while I waited my friends to show up (the only way I could reserve a table, so it had to be that way). When everyone had arrived, we all decided to order the standard brunch. Brunch was 130 kr (roughly 20 US dollars) with no drinks on the side. If you're doing the normal brunch procedure you'd order a glass of juice and a coffee on the side. That would put the price of your brunch to about 200 kr (30 $) and that is pretty expensive. We tried the brunch and all the elements on the platter was good. Scrambled eggs was nice and not the processed kind, and the bacon was nicely fried and crispy. Youghurt was pretty good as well (pretty hard to screw that up though) and the grapes and melon on the plate was also nice. The bread which came along was good as well. All in all pretty good flavors and ingredients. The brunch delivers, but it is pretty expensive if you ask me. To get a 5-star rating when you're asking that price, you're gonna have to deliver something more.

Good food but need a huge improvement on customer service. Slow service, both the kitchen and the waiting staff.

Awesome place! Decor is nice and so is the staff. Well priced. Go for the rugbrødsmadder or their fries.

The cappuccino was smooth and rich with just the right amount of foam, while the sandwich was hearty and delicious -- simple but satisfying, with that nutty Danish dark bread that makes all the difference. What stood out most was the atmosphere. The staff are genuinely friendly and it feels more like visiting a local friend's kitchen than a café. Prices are fair for the city, and you can take your time without feeling rushed. If you're looking for a spot that feels authentic and relaxed rather than polished or touristy, this is it. We tried Grød at two locations: the Torvehallerne market and at 7Eleven. The market, I ordered the Oat Porridge which came with apples, roasted almonds and caramel sauce, my mom had the All In! and my dad had the oat waffle. All of us (mostly) left satisfied. My picky father loved his waffle. And I really enjoyed the porridge I had. The oats perfectly cooked, the apples and almonds gave it a nice textural contrast. Plus the caramel, which was more like a dulce de leche added the perfect amount of sweetness without being too sweet. My mom was a bit ambivalent because the All In was too sweet. But to be fair, All In includes all of their toppings. Including chocolate and caramel so her assessment was fair! The Grød at 7Eleven had this wonderful chia pudding, layered with yogurt, natural peanut butter, a berry compote and nuts and I was obsessed. So simple, yet so wholesome. I found a cup at the airport and proceeded to import it back to the States. Overall, it was definitely worth a visit (or 2) to have my mind blown. Grød may not have intended it but this lil Westerner is now leveling up her oats game thanks to their menu!
