Visited here for the first time after church on Easter. Thought the food and coffee was good so I visited again yesterday. Sadly so much went wrong. When we arrived we were the only ones waiting. They told us to sit in a couch while we waited which was kind of hidden (that should have been a red flag). Two more groups came and they almost sat them first had I not reminded them we got there first. We sit and they serve us water without ice. Water was warm. It was hot out. Then, we ordered our coffee and food. Coffee took about 15 minutes (we had to ask them where this was). Servers kept changing and they were confused about who was doing what. Our food took 45 minutes to arrive. Around the 30 minute mark my mom asked about our food and mentioned that we noticed other tables for services before we did get they had arrived after us. She asked my mom for specific examples of this and started to argue with my mom. Extremely strange / rude behavior. It blows my mind that this place couldn't get it together at 10:30am on a random Sunday with barely any tables and a ton of servers. I won't be coming back here. read more

We ordered a lemonade and it never came so we asked to get another cafe con leche we witnessed a party of 6 next to us who's food was not properly ordered. Service is alright not the best. If I could give this place a negative rating I would. Let me start off by saying that I asked the nasty waitress who was working today to change our water because it had pieces of bread and black debris floating inside, but she never came back. We ordered and 35 minutes passed and they didn't even bring us our juice. If you come here, you can see that this place sits a maximum of like 10 people, hence it shouldn't take this long for anything. After 50 minutes and still nothing to eat or drink, other than the dirty water, we told the waitress we were leaving, and we left. She didn't care, no one did. This place is straight up trash. Adorable little cafe! I found it after leaving an appointment at the veterinarian office in the same strip. The service was great, attentive and quick. This is a hidden gem around the corner of my house! It's small but super cute and decorated adorable, the food is different but good, the service is good. We went for Mothers Day and it was pretty busy and they did everything possible to accommodate people in their confined space. It truly felt like a little cafe in another destination! The green juice was better than I expected! My only recommendation for them is to improve their cafe con leche, but no biggie... just a little darker and less creamy as an option. read more

One word: quaint. That's the best way I can describe this place. A small restaurant for a simple brunch. I would recommend the croquetas, the cortadito and the huevos roto. Little gem that recently popped up in our neighborhood, totally worth trying. My wife had the Croque Madame which was delicious, as soon as it got to the table I wished I'd ordered it. I ordered the Turkey Panini and I had zero buyers remorse. We shared the "Disco Volador de guayaba y queso" AMAZING . We will be returning for sure, the service was also top notch and the staff was incredibly sweet. read more

I must say the service here is not good. I finally visited this place today. I felt the same way as James H commented on here about an hour ago. The waitresses proceeded to get a table ready for a party of 2 ladies that were last in line. We were waiting for a while and when one of the rude ladies last in line went to complain they went and got their table ready. I was infuriated. The party of two that were supposed to be next left, which I think was yelper by the name of James H. I wanted to leave as well but I decided to stay as I was not gonna allow these rude, disrespectful woman behind us get a table before us. I saw the pics of this place and wanted to give the place a chance. Definitely this place needs to have someone taking names and they need to be more organized. I tried the food and i did not like it. It's a shame because this place seems to bring a lot of people in. I also ordered a French toast which I never got. I decided to just let it go because I had such a bad experience as it is. I think they should invest in more staff or have a more organized system where your name is placed on a list. The staff I feel doesn't move as fast and tables are actually available. I hate giving these sorts of reviews but I think a business needs as much feedback as possible for improvement. read more

It is a cozy very well decorated and coordinated establishment, with an outside area with a canopy. There are times it may get busy, therefore be patient as it is well worth the wait. Always a savory experience. It is always on our list of stops when coming back home to Miami to visit. From the cortadito(with condensed milk, delish), cafe come leche, and croque madam each is it's only amazing experience. We have tried 6 different items on the menu and have enjoyed every bite. You can taste the care taken by the chef creating each delish and in creating the perfect blend of tastes. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended. read more

Wow, I can't say enough about Café Bea. We were a group of 12 for a cooking class and loved it. Everything the chefs helped us prepare was delicious. Simple, flavorful and ever so tasty. It is difficult to pick a favorite. We worked on three incredible appetizers: tuna tartare, shrimp skewers and chicken saltimboca. For our main courses, we had Salmon with caper sauce and Curry pork accompanied by Pepper and Butter pasta. Dessert consisted of Carlota di Limon. Stop by if you're in the area to taste from their regular menu, ask for a class or their catering service. read more

I wish I could have tried the food because it looks good. But you need more than good food from a restaurant. You need good service as well. It's a very small place so very busy doesn't exist there. When we arrived with the excitement and anticipation of trying a new place, we encountered a place where no one acknowledges that you're there. We weren't sure if you wait to be seated or just seat yourselves, or if you order at the register and then sit and wait for your food. We looked around and saw someone taking orders at one of the tables inside, so we assumed that we sit ourselves and found a table outside, since the inside was full. We sat there for about 5 minutes or more just waiting and not one person even acknowledged our presence there. No menus nor water, nor a simple "I'll be with you soon" was offered. There were 2 or 3 people behind the two registers there and only one person taking orders. We saw other tables that the people were there sitting already before us and they had not been served yet so we assumed that it was going to be a long while before they got to us. We picked up and left. If I was the owner, I would appreciate knowing that this happens at my establishment. They lost my business this day and I don't think I will ever take my business back there again. I'm a local resident of the area and like to support small businesses such as these, but they need to provide good products and services to keep me coming back. read more

Located next to a banquet hall that I often frequented for quinceañeras parties growing up, stands Cafe Bea, a quaint Cuban brunch spot with an array of food options. Thinking that this place was still a best kept secret, I visited today with my parents around 11 AM. But it seems like the secret is out - the place was packed to the brim with no seating left. Luckily, after 10 minutes of waiting, two parties left allowing my parents and I to be seated in a corner table but the people kept flowing in. The service was extremely sloooow, I think the owners are still getting adjusted to their newfound influx of customers - however, our waitress (who I think was the owner as well) was extremely sweet making the wait a little less painful & the food was definitely worth the wait. Appetizer: homemade croquetas. They were out of ham so we were encouraged to try the arroz con pollo ones. Although I was hesitant, I'm glad I tried them anyways - delicious & different. Entree: Croque madam is a must try. My dad ordered the huevos rotos which consisted of two fried eggs sitting on a bed of fries and served with ham. The idea is to let the yolk spill all over the eggs, and a great idea it is. Drinks: Cafe con leche, a little too sweet but delicious nonetheless - presentation is everything & they nailed it. Dessert: discos de guayaba y queso... A typical Cuban dish & delicious as well. Would I be back? Without a doubt.. The price was extremelyyyy fair for everything that was ordered & there are still many items on the menu left to try! Ugh, where do I begin?! The setting is nice and light, the staff/service is outstanding, the food is delicious (croquetas, huevos rotos, croque madame, 2 eggs any style, cappuccino). Pretty much sums it up. Our first visit was with the kids and although they can be a lot to handle, the employees make you feel comfortable enough to be able to enjoy the dining experience without worrying. There were no sour looks; instead, the young lady who took care of us was beyond sweet and gave both kids candy (as if they needed it - sugar rush). Small and welcoming place. Tried the goat cheese croquettas they were alot smaller than i expected about 1/3 the size of a regular croquetta but they tasted great.
