Mouthwatering surprises await you at this Mom&Pop restaurant out in West Kendall. There were so many things we wanted to order on the menu that we vowed to return to try all of them. Everything was delicious, falling off the bone flavorful. The cornbread was out of this world! The smoked flan yummy. The service was good and the ambiance was great. Loved reading all the signs. We got there at the perfect time, because it got packed afterward. Everyone had happy bellies

I came here for the first time after I saw a recommendation on Infatuation Miami. I came with two friends. We decided to try the Miami Spice deal. It was $35 per person for an appetizer, entree and dessert. Two of us ordered the Arepitas con lechon and the other ordered the smoked croquettes. The Arepitas were my favorite part of the meal! They were so delicious! I could have eaten ten of them! I tried half of one croquette, and they were really good too. Lots of flavor, crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. For our entrees, I ordered the rib combo, one friend ordered the Triple Play, and the other ordered the Tamal en Cazuela (corn casserole with pork belly). I think the Triple play is the best deal, but I don't like sausage. I loved my rib combo. The coleslaw was really good! Some of the best I've ever had! The fries are ok. Not my favorite type of fries, but they were good. The rib meat was falling off of the bone. The bbq sauce is really yummy. All three of us had leftovers. No one finished half of their meal. We all ordered the Tres Leches as our dessert. We had them to go, since we were too full to eat them. They come with a meringue on top. I tried it later at home and it was too sweet for my taste. It was like eating straight sugar. Not for me. I would try the flan next time. They automatically add a 20% gratuity to the check. Altogether our bills were $44+ each. One friend ordered an ice tea and her check was $51+. The waitresses were SUPER nice! We loved the service! The restaurant is nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. But it's a little small. I can see how they easily get on a wait. If I wasn't going on a weekday for lunch, I'd probably get my food to go. If you like BBQ, I highly recommend trying this place. I'd love to go back again.

Pleasantly surprised by this strip mall restaurant in Western Kendall. The menu creativity and interior decor stood out. The beer and wine selection was just right. Brisket mole and pulled pork mofongo were impressive. The smoked flan stole my heart. The texture, consistency and flavor reminded me of my Mom's version but with a unique "smoked" touch. Staff is young, charismatic and happy to be working here.

Incredible place!!! The service was courteous and prompt!!! The food was amazing! The empanadas, the truffle mac, the duck Mofongo and the ribs were all to die for!!! Highly recommend this place.

RESTAURANT: Located within a shopping center, the restaurant did not look much from the outside, but inside, they really did a good job staying true to the bbq aesthetic. Love the giant bbq sign, the wood barn door and furniture and the variety of pig statues and figurines. Then, on the other side is a completely different restaurant, and empanada restaurant. FOOD: Right on the entrance is a huge bar, stocked with local beer, wines and bottled teas. We started with the arancini balls. Never had those before and they were delicious. For the entrees, we got the ribs and brisket with the slaw and corn bread. The sides were delicious. The brisket and ribs were both smokey and tender. Not the best flavor I had but not bad at all. I wanted some arepa and empanada too but I was saving room for dessert. So we had the smoked flan which looked promising but really did not hit. Texture was good but the smokey flavor initially was too strong but as soon as that dies down it was not followed by party in my mouth that typically happens with Filipino flans. I preferred their smoked cheesecake. SERVICE: Service was good. We dined after lunch and so it was slow and I believe that one of the owner was our server, cashier, everything. She answered our questions, made suggestions and told us a little bit about the restaurant and how they got started. Food arrived swiftly. Overall, our experience was good. Price point is on the high side as expected when working with bbq type meats. Will definitely come again to try the "dough" side.

Another fantastic visit to smoke and dough last night. Got lucky and they had a Dono Rib special- honestly, only adding this review to share photos. The service and ambiance were great as always. By the way, their honey butter is one of the most amazing things I've ever tasted.

I've been wanting to try smoke and dough for a while and I'm so glad we finally did. The restaurant is kind of on the small side, so if it's crowded expect a wait time. I'm not sure if they offer reservations but I'd make one if possible. For an appetizer we ordered the pastrami tequenos and I have to say these were the best tequenos I've ever had. I want to go back just for the tequenos. For my entree, I ordered the burger. The burger was really good and came with a special sauce. I can't wait to visit again!

Came to Smoke and Dough for take out, to take food to work for lunch for my upcoming double shift. Ordered the brisket of course with a side of truffle Mac and cheese and I also order the Tostones con lechón. The Brisket, excellent, perfectly smoked, melts in your mouth I think the addition of the chimichurri sauce was good but I thought I should have been given some house made bbq sauce to have with it. The Truffle Mac and Cheese was ok, it had some bacon bits for some additional flavor, I think that with some additional cheese blends added on to it would have been a wow. The totosnes con lechón was very good. Lechón perfectly cooked as well, very tender along with the totones, the sauce and the pickled onions made it with wholesome goodness. Some hot sauce would have been great. Beautiful design of the establishment lots of artistic things in there. Very clean nice atmosphere. The service was good but I thought they should have given me some hot sauce and house made bbq sauce to go along with the food. Will try again along with other things on the menu.

Minus 1 star for almost cold food. 5 minutes after being served my food was cold. """ Not a cheap place to eat..""" First time here. In on a Thursday at 5 for dinner. NO SWEET TEA!!! It goes along with BBQ in the south. No sauce on the tables. Server brought small cups of sauce. Told the server "please tell the kitchen NO cold food". ORDERED: Meat Quattero (supposed to feed 3) $56.00 1/2 lb of brisket. Good 1/2lb of pulled pork. OK but needed sauce. 1 Sausage link. Over cooked. Very hard on the outside. 1/2 rack Baby Back Ribs. Being covered in sauce, you can't taste the quality of the ribs. Just the sauce. Honey Cornbread. $9 Very Good but not worth the price.. TOOOOO FAR FROM HOME TO GO BACK...

Amazing food, delicious coffee and dessert, great ambience, and plenty of parking. However, the service was a bit slow.

This place is RIDICULOUS!!! I wish I had two stomachs because I honestly wanted to eat more and more and more.. there was not a single thing that we ordered that was not absolutely, finger licking fantastic! Perfectly balanced in flavor, each plate was savory, flavorful, home-made, and unique. From the smoked ham croquetas preparadas and perfect fries, to the pulled pork tostones (not pictured), to the pulled pork nachos - holy YES , to the brisket, we as a family are all fans and already can't wait to come back!! Not pictured were the desserts we ordered. We were stuffed but couldn't leave without trying a least a bite of them. Needless to say, the kids ate all their dessert, I was able to savor my bite and take the rest of my flan home to be enjoyed again later!! We tried the smoked vanilla ice cream and brownie.. The brownie is oversized, creamy and perfectly balanced for the smokiness of the ice cream. The ice cream alone should be its own category.. it's unreal and sooooo unique. The Dulce leche and banana empanada was rich, smooth, not overpoweringly sweet, and crunchy. The smoky flan is one of the best flans in texture and flavor I've ever had. I honestly have nothing critical to say other than bring your appetite cause you're gonna over-stuff yourself- GUARANTEED!!!i

    Thursday Haply Hour Menu

Small but tasty BBQ spot! Stopped in on a Thursday for a late lunch and it just so happens Thursdays they have all day happy hour!! We ordered the full rack of Ribs and the pastrami sandwich and for the sides had fries, baked beans and ranch coleslaw as well as their amazing corn with cinnamon butter. The food had amazing authentic bbq flavor. The ribs fall right off the bone and if you're a fan of sweet zesty bbq sauce you'll the guava bbq. The fries were crispy outside soft inside and the beans had plenty of meat and amazing flavor, so far fave beans of any BBQ beans I've tried. The coleslaw was also good a bit sweet for me but for those who favor the sweeter versions of coleslaw I think you'll enjoy this ranch version they make. And now for the cornbread, this is by far the best cornbread I've had... a definite must have. We will definitely be back to try other daily specials as we were told the menu varies each day a bit! And let's not forget the service... our server was not only super friendly but also very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu items. If you're in the area definitely give them a try and for those not in the area I think you'll find that it's worth the trip, just check out their daily specials so that you visit on a day that you can enjoy whatever you want to try!

It's got good food, a friendly…read moreguy cooking it, and my only regret is not coming here first thing in the morning so I could have the freshest pick. One thing about me is I love to have BBQ fresh off the smoker, but I do like that this truck is well equipped to keep everything warm, soft, and juicy. We tried the ribs and they were BUSSIN. Soft and amazing. In my life, I've never had ribs that soft before. They were seriously incredible. The pork sausage, though, was a HIT for me. I'm a girl who loves sausage, any kind, and the way this was so juicy just hit a spot for me. Matter of fact, I'll stop cooking sausages at home and simply come buy them by the pound here. The pulled pork was good. It's my fault for putting Sweet Heat BBQ on it without trying it first because LORD JESUS. I don't know what I was thinking. I underestimated the heat, and usually I love it hot, but LORD. I think my bread absorbed all of it. So, tread lightly with the hot sauces. For me, next time I think playing with a regular BBQ sauce and adding little dashes of the heated sauces myself would be the move. BUT IF YOU LIKE CRAZY HEAT, THEY GOT IT. The mac was good. The beans were FIRE. Perfectly sweet, and they actually have protein in them, which I can't say for all BBQ bean spots. Overall, it's worth the money. The service is respectful, and honestly, I will be coming back. I'll be ordering less food next time because LORD, I bought too much, but I'll definitely be back for a fresh brisket straight off the smoker. I can't lie. All in all, they're great. I like BBQ that tastes like hard work. Frankly, I want some love put into my BBQ, not just something that was simply cooked, and here they definitely have that. Only a true master can get sausage the way they do it here. 10/10. All juicy, all good. I'll be back. I can't recommend enough that you need to pivot your Thursdays through Sundays and try this place, ESPECIALLY IF IT'S FRESH OFF THE SMOKER. Real BBQ isn't about the presentation. My car, my hair, and my clothes all smelled like I rolled around in a smoker, which is exactly what I want from my BBQ. P.S. My dogs were going crazy for my fingers and trying to jump on the counters to get a bite, so you know it's good because they're well trained.

Traveling to Kansas City and experiencing the different taste of brisket I kind of knew what to look for. First, The "brisket" wasn't giving brisket, more like a bottom round cut meat that's being smoke. Second, the meat was dry, so the sauce was a must. Lastly, the guy was a bit rude, not welcoming. Per my usual attitude my first time somewhere, I wanted to try several items. The owner was super nice and gave multiple suggestions. I ended-up trying a really affordable wing special that comes with rice and beans, slaw, plantain chips and I added mac. I also added brisket, and that came with slaw. The green bean salad comes in one size as an add-on. Okay first, the owner is clearly magic, because there isn't a grill in sight. I had no intention of ordering wings, but these are seriously the best wings I've had anywhere, in a long time (100/10). The rice and beans (10/10), and the rice smelled like it came from abuelita's kitchen. The slaw, oh my goodness (100/10), so simple, and yet perfect! I thought the chips were unnecessary . . . NOT! These are delicious (10/10) and 100% belonged on my plate. The mac . . . well, you can't win 'em all. The brisket was good (9/10) and the sauce is mustard-based, just like I like it, but the star is what got me there, the green bean salad! This was a fresh, exciting dish that is like nothing you've ever had (1,000/10), I won't describe the ingredients here, because I think you should be surprised. I can't wait to go back. The collard greens were hands down the best I've ever had, and the sweet potato soufflé was just as memorable. Even the Texas toast was incredible--I don't usually talk about bread, but this stuff was fire! The drinks were served in large cups, and the sweet tea was absolutely perfect. Dinner for two came to about $78, which might seem a little high at first, but quality barbecue isn't cheap, and every dollar was worth it.
