This place is a breath of fresh air! The food is very well done and and the dishes far exceeded what I expected. They have a pleasantly varied menu. Came here for breakfast with my parents, who are pretty picky. But they were both able to find dishes that suited them and both raved about the quality of the food, coffee, and bread. It also has a very cute vibe inside and outside. The service was also stellar. Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a well-priced breakfast (I can't speak to the other meals or menu items, but all looked delicious and economical.) read more

We went on a Friday morning around 11am. It wasn't very busy and we were seated quickly. This place is like stepping into a Latin country. It's very pretty and very clean. We had a hard time finding parking but we were greeted with a smile. We sat outside and it was very shaded. I had French toast and a green juice. My husband had a salmon bagel. The food was divine. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, service is great and they offer many breakfast sandwiches options. There's a Cuban and French flair to this location. Stumbled upon this place around 3pm on a Wednesday and was looking for a quick bite. We sat inside and the whole place was decorated with cafeteras and rustic cafe decor with plants. We ordered and our food and drinks came out right away which was great because I was in a hurry. The frozen green tea lemonade was refreshing for a hot summer day and the Italian sandwich was made with fresh baguette that was nicely toasted with olive oil, fresh tomatoes, mozzarella and basil pesto. Last minute stop while in west kendall! I've heard this spot is good and has great food at great pricing. And I gotta admit, a pitcher of wine later, croqueticas, disco volador and huevos rotos later with 2 coffees, under $50 is a plus too! Though they are attentive, the staff kinda does their thing and is very casual, typical Miami setting. Now the food, it comes out quick! We got almost all the courses before the sangria pitcher. The coffees are all made with evaporated milk, so no non dairy options at all, which left a layer of sugar at the bottom of my last sip, which for me is not ideal as I'm not a sweet tooth! The flavors overall were great. The croquetas de chorizo were small but creamy and good! The disco volador de guava and cheese was a perfect bite! Server tipped herself. So I'll start off by saying that the food from this place is great! I've gone twice before and have had a good experience, it's sad that my most recent visit ruined that. This last time I went, our server charged us almost $5 for stale bread that she insinuated was included with our plate (otherwise, we would not have ordered it had we known, $5 for a side of bread is ridiculous). When we got the bill and let her know she immediately caught an attitude and blamed it on us. To cut off the exchange, we ended up paying it, but did not tip because the service experience was horrendous. We started off with coffee and ham and cheese croquettas which was great. The croquettas are small so order more than one trust me. For our breakfast meal we had the open face ham cheese and egg sandwich and the panini arrúgala and prosciutto flat bread. The flat bread was a little too salty . Came to this Hidden gem in Kendall off of coral way I was blown away that my mom had been here before. highly recommend coming to this place around 1-2pm as the breakfast crowd gets out but they serve breakfast in case your still craving. The menu is straight forward and absolutely delicious. Everything on the menu you can order and won't be disappointed. I had a green juice that was delicious. We started with a carrot soup very very good. I had 6 croquetas of cod and it was spectacular my husband had a smoked salmon salad and my mom a grilled cheese sandwich the shape of a UFO lol love it. The food was good, a bit pricey for the amount of food you are getting. The food is not your typical breakfast, lunch menu. We found it sorta hard to make a decision on what to order. The coffees were different and unexpected flavors, for instance they put cinnamon on top of the Cortito and the other coffees that they made. Something that is not to my liking. We sat inside where it was air-conditioned and very small. ( I guess they were having problems in the kitchen and workers with long ladder was brought in with several tool boxes in the main dinning room) All while we were eating! But I don't know what all the hype is! It was an OK meal, but a bit expensive, since they charge you 18% on the bill, whether you are 1 or 6 people eating! We went, we waited, we left. We didn't know if we had to order up front or if our order will be taken in the table. As a courtesy I decided to go to the front since I saw one person was ordering there. They asked me what would I like to eat and they simply said that the menus were on the table with an "I don't want to be here" attitude. ($1 each) The outside is crunchy, but the inside is gooey from the potatoes with bits of ham, and I think they're freshly fried so it comes out steaming hot. Yum! Wanted to try something new around where I live and came across this gem on Yelp. Though this time around I didn't try out any of what seem to be their popular plates I enjoyed what I had! The servings were just right and the vibe and decor is comfy and cute. The only reason I didn't rate it a 5 is because the service was a little slow to start, but after being sat and waiting around 10 minutes, things went smoother.
