matcha latte almond milk and honey

Great service, good music, and the staff is awesome! I love the Matcha best cafe on 7th Ave. The old 3.5 stars should be a 5 Star! New manager since. Has lots of good pastries

I've stopped by Cafe Grumpy a few times out of convenience. Unfortunately, the coffee (americano, peppermint mocha) was too acidic for my liking and the flavored drink was watery and not very tasty at all. Drinks were $6 and $8 respectively with tip which felt slightly forced-- not sure I'd have wanted to tip as much given the mediocre, lukewarm drinks.

More like Cafe Cheery! :D Delicious cold brew and matcha lemonade! Very friendly staff! Nice AC clean place to sit and have a conversation. Reasonable price for Park Slope!

Welp. A+ for Brand continuity. Peeps match the name a little bit. I guess I'm not mad at it haha.

The service is great. Friendly and personal. The coffee is good too. The only downside is that theres no privacy. If your looking for a queit place to do work or have a personal discussion, this is not the place. There is only two big tables and the place is pretty small. People sit around the table. So if you'd like to socialize with complete strangers, then maybe you should give this a try.

Amazing latte art. Tasty coffee. Had great covid guidelines (only two people per store). If you're looking for something delicious & on the go, I highly suggest this place! ALSO THE MARKETING IS SO CUTE OMG I LOVE THE LIL GRUMPY FACE

Cafe Grumpy in fact can makes me less grumpy, especially when I am dying for a caffeine fix after my friend driving around around around the blocks looking at for a parking space... kind of making me dizzy?? No laptops can be a blessing sometimes, especially when I just want to find a place to chill out and enjoy a good coffee! Yes Cafe Grump does deliver! Our Cortado and cappuccino are both nicely done. Strong bold roast and great latte art. The bar area is a nice place to hang out and chat with your friend a little...

I live in the neighborhood and came here for the first time this evening. Let me start by saying, "WHY DID I NOT COME HERE SOONER?!?!?!" Excellent coffee. Lately, I have been turned off by coffee, and have been opting for tea. Vegan cookie options were a plus (I didn't have luck with the cookie that I tried). Seems really clean, and their marketing strategy is pretty cool. Friendly, down to earth staff. CONS: Do not have the salted chocolate chip vegan cookie. The salt is suppose to compliment the chocolate. Instead, I feel like I am just eating pure sea salt. It was probably the worst cookie I have ever tasted.

I am a coffee addict, and I love small coffee shops. So when I took a trip to NYC with my friends, I was put in charge of getting us good coffee. I looked up near by coffee shops and Cafe Grumpy had a cute slogan (I also love cats) and many good reviews. When we arrived there, the place was small and packed, not much room for sitting and enjoying your coffee. The staff was super friendly and very chatty, which I loved. Good coffee shops have two things: Good coffee and good company, and Cafe Grumpy did have the good company part down. As for the coffee, it wasn't the best I've ever had, but my friends enjoyed their lattes and cookies. When I went, they said they don't heat up any pastries, so that was a downer. The lack of room was also a downer cause it was cold and rainy out and when you go to a coffee shop, you're looking for a warm and cozy atmosphere. I'm glad I tried it, but this would not be my go to coffee shop, especially not in NYC.

Starting your morning right is always fun at grumpies. Delicious cappuccinos, lattes, and espressos. While not being a place to sit and read a good book, this coffee spot is your go to for an efficiently delicious dose of caffeine. Simple and unpretentious, grumpies is for coffee lovers who are not looking for extra pomp and circumstance. WiFi signals, large lounging tables, decorations, and overly complicated coffee choices do not exist here. What they do offer is freshly brewed coffee made with love. Whatever I have tried here is simply delicious and those looking for a pure coffee experienced will be served very well by grumpies. Other offerings include fresh muffins, croissants, and other small sweets. Get their punch card to enjoy every tenth coffee free on the house. This place has a large following and you will see people lining up every morning.

Cafe Grumpy is a terrific little spot in Park Slope. The coffee here is terrific.J orders a red eye, and it was fresh and delicious. The almond croissant was delectable ! It's a small place and laptop free. cafe...Other than coffee they sell pastries, no sandwiches or lunch items which is fine, it's a coffee spot! The cafe also sell their own merchandise, mugs, T-shirt's, hats, etc...Small seating area.!If you want a delicious cup of coffee I definitely recommend !

I got a surprisingly good flat white, and because it's a coffee shop that gets its four stars, although, as I'll explain, the ambience is nonexistent. They were friendly enough, and made my drink in my travel mug. It's a very small and bare space. The no laptop policy is sort of annoying--there was literally no one else there and I wanted a place to sit and read on a screen and I couldn't. I'd pretty much just consider this place a takeout spot, but for that the coffee is good. There's no food. The menu has chai. The prices seemed unfortunately normal, even a bit less than at least one other place I've been within a few blocks, although I got a seasonal coffee drink there, so that might have accounted for at least part of the price difference. There's bike parking out front.

Terrible coffee - just make some at home honestly. Poor service with plenty of attitude. Workers definitely didn't want to be there.

Oat milk latte was delicious with the prettiest latte art. Got it quickly and the chocolate chip cookies hit the spot. Small space but cozy.

You must have the Brussels sprouts!! I'd go back for those in a minute! I very much enjoyed my salmon dish. Lovely presentation and preparation but portion a bit small. However, the Brussels sprouts were so generous portion that even after sharing there was "take home" for us. The chocolate mousse was extraordinary! I don't even want to know the calorie count - but worth it!! My one negative was the chill of the Cabernet Yes, I know that's the trend but personally I prefer room temp especially in cold weather The restaurant owner was gracious, staff actually charming and accommodating We are recommending this place to family and friends and plan to return especially when going to BAM ENJOY!!

Walked in and was able to get a seat without reservation, but it definitely filled up by 6/7 pm. The place is dimly lit and the tables are quite small. For the food, we got their Brussel sprouts, shrimp, salmon entree and chicken entree. Our favorite were definitely the shrimp. But everything else when eaten together tasted a bit too greasy and felt monotonous in terms of flavor. Brussel sprouts were fried and held to a decent amount of oil, then the addition of tahini made it even more oily. Pan chicken we expected whole pieces of chicken but it was more like a thin chicken cutlet. The salmon came with a cauliflower puree which tasted so rich (with butter), but I couldn't finish it bc it was so rich.

You pay $8 per person for three hours, which seems absolutely incredible. They have delicious bubble teas and some light bites. They have teas and coffees too. Super shout out to the woman working there today (12/29) because my little cousin is not an adventurous eater and she recommended the lychee boba and gave him a sample. He never tries things but did and really enjoyed it. I am so thankful for everyone's kindness who worked there. A cool atmosphere with lots of meetups and games going on. The store was pretty emptied at the time, and clerk informed about pricing per hour for game play (board and card games). I decided to skip the games, since all I wanted was some food to-go. Got the pastry and a latte drink. The pastry was a bit off; cheese filling was too sour and the pastry just didn't taste that fresh. The matcha latte drink wasn't good neither; very small amount of Matcha flavor, but plenty of milk. Will probably come back for game play only

People have left some odd reviews of this place, including a one-star review for the restaurant…read moreapparently being highly politicized--a vibe I neither felt nor could visually identify within or without the establishment. I ordered a single burger and a Sudan spiced peanut butter latte, for ~$15! That's pretty inexpensive for New York City. I note this as some consider it overpriced. I suppose the food is fairly inexpensive, the lattes slightly higher than average. The "burger" comes wrapped in a homemade pita with diced cucumber, onion, and tomato, plus a few crispy, thick-cut fries and a yummy house sauce. It was a cool twist of the traditional burger and had a nice flavor. The sauce was like a slightly Mediterranean version of Big Mac sauce. The girl working as the barista and cashier was very nice and friendly. She had a nice presence and warm smile, made suggestions, and even gave a stranger free utensils when they popped on to ask. I think it's definitely worth checking out, and it's a good place for a cheap & simple meal that's still quirky and fun.

Perhaps I should have anticipated that, or my mistake in ordering. I also ordered a Moroccan egg salad sandwich which was substantive but surprisingly bland--sparse with the advertised capers and pickled red onions to give it more punch. I've always loved the look of the spot and the vibe--funky decor, outside and indoor facing counters to order, with some outdoor seating for people watching on Dekalb or heading nearby Ft. Greene Park. I see they are renovating and rebranding a bit and adding some burger component. While I didn't love it, I'd definitely give it another shot.
