I thought the Stromboli was good but lacked real flavor. I was mostly eating through Italian meats (salami and pepperoni) with occasional flavors of basil but it was not deep and rich in its profile. Service was good, but not over the top. The restaurant is set right on the main drag on Pine Street. The restaurant also contains a small gift shop for local artisans sell their goods. But the interior of the restaurant is super cute and cozy.

"I'm going to need you all to move so I can get through," is a less effective and polite way of saying "excuse me, please." The kids in front of us ordered and rightfully got their food before us, but so much so that they finished and left before our food came out. This wouldn't have been a problem but when our food did finally make it to the table, it was on the cold side. Had they bothered to check in with us, I would have said something, but they didn't even bother. They were too busy playing with the dogs in the patio. The food was mediocre at best. The service sucked. The prices were fine. I'm only giving this place 3 stars for the physical atmosphere and prices. I'd find somewhere else to eat next time.

I thought the breakfast burrito was great except it was a little heavy on the potatoes and could have been balanced better with more eggs and less potato. Also their red salsa that was supposed to be the hot one needs a lot more heat, it almost wasn't there at all, but perhaps it's just par for the area. But the real shining star dish from here is the quesabirrias with complimentary consomé, but I think they call it cheesy beef tacos or something like that. Breakfast is only served until 10am, but they do the breakfast burritos until closing at 2pm. Dont skip this great spot!

I went with a group of family and friends and got to try a bite or two of various items on the menu. The biscuits and gravy had a nice flavor, it was hard to find the them underneath the heaping of gravy that covers the plate, but having too much food shouldn't be a bad thing. The pancakes were delightful and delicious and huge! I got to try the CrossFit Burrito and boy oh boy that was a winner. It was large and in charge, perfect to cut in half and share--and the homemade salsa topped it off perfectly. I also got a bite of Monte Cristo, not my favorite and it was the most expensive item, but it was alright to try. The bus has a fun atmosphere but it's a little squishy--they do have outdoor seating, but that's no fun when it's pouring rain. Overall, fun and fabulous! I recommend making a pit stop here when you can. TIPS & TRICKS: * Bring your appetite or just share! Again, plenty of food and you'll definitely have leftovers. * You can take your meal to go if you don't have time to have an easy, slow breakfast morning.

We didn't stay at the lodge because we were camping, but we had the pleasure of sitting at the bar with Dominique for dinner, who completely made our night serving the BEST cocktails! And the food was AMAZING too! You can of course fulfill your carnivore healthy appetite, but they have vegan and gluten free items too! It really isn't that far from the Town of Pinedale, so if you are looking for a GREAT restaurant, I would absolutely recommend the drive up to have a spectacular dinner with incredible ambiance. But the great dinner and service wasn't the only part of our eventful night. After leaving the restaurant, we accidentally took a wrong turn onto a road that we thought was the campsite and while backing up, we almost flipped our van over a cliff! It was literally dangling from the side of the road!!! So, because we had established such a great relationship with Dominique, I decided to call the restaurant to see if they could help. And by the grace of GOD, got reception and was able to speak to the owner, Kristine. Within minutes, she arrived and so did Dominique with a flatbed truck, and with the 2 vehicles, they were able to pull us out!!!! I have never been so grateful in my life for these 2 angels that saved our lives. They had been working all day and didn't even blink to come and help. And when I asked how I could repay them, they said, "Welcome to Wyoming, please just pay it forward." So, this review is not only to encourage everyone to eat, drink and stay at a BEAUTIFUL and SPECTACULAR establishment, it's a plea for me to be able to "pay it forward" a little bit to some really exceptional people who deserve all the best life has to give.

The grilled cheese was genuinely tasty, and I really liked the cortado. The pecan pie was fine -- not outstanding, but enjoyable enough. The croissant, though, was disappointing. It was served cold, not warmed up at all, and surprisingly, they don't even offer a plain croissant. It may sound like a minor detail, but when you're paying bakery-level prices, those details count. The bigger problem, however, was the service -- especially the brunette woman at the counter. From the second we approached, the atmosphere felt unfriendly. No smile, no greeting, no eye contact. There was no willingness to assist, no recommendations, and no sense of hospitality whatsoever. Her expression stayed cold the entire time, and it honestly felt like we were inconveniencing her simply by ordering. To top it off, it took nearly five minutes just to get a basic receipt, with no explanation or acknowledgment. And that's the thing about customer service -- it shapes the entire experience. A café can have great coffee, appealing food, and a beautiful interior, but when the first interaction feels distant and unwelcoming, it overshadows everything else. Staff members are the face of a business, and when customers leave feeling ignored or unwanted, it leaves a lasting impression for all the wrong reasons. Beautiful space and some solid food, but service is what defines whether people return -- and unfortunately, this experience made us not want to come back.

On the positive side, their outside dining space is delightful. Shady, tree filled and charming. If you simply want a place for a coffee and a chat - enjoy! Now to the food. The menu seems overthought from the get go. Constant references to local, housemade etc. It tries to sell a certain experience but completely fails to deliver. My mom and I both opted for a simple grilled cheese sandwich with a cup of tomato bisque soup. Soup was solid if on the salty side. I almost have no words for how bad the simple grilled cheese was. No butter or oil of any kind on outside of sandwich. Cheese on inside was a slice of provolone and some scattered cheddar. Not even melted through. Tasted more like stale bread than grilled in anyway. Vessel for soup had such a small top opening that it was impossible to dip without cutting the sandwich beyond halves. (Isn't dipping what you order grilled cheese and tomato soup to do?) Water was never refilled at table despite two requests when they came by to refill coffee. My friends had a quinoa bowl with poached egg on top and the other a simple cheeseburger. Neither even finished half which tells me a lot. The friend who ordered a cheeseburger decided to try their "signature " sautéed spinach instead of fries as a side. His spinach side could have fit into a teaspoon. This place might appeal to the NOLA/girls with unshaven armpits crowd but for honest, hungry people- walk away. It's just a very bad presentation of cali style casual cuisine. BTW, four of us. Two grilled cheese/cup of tomato soup plates, two coffees, one quinoa bowl and one cheeseburger with a teaspoon of spinach- 100+ Unbelievable. The more I see all the gentrification of californication of Lander, the more I hate it and unfortunately, the Middle Fork pretty much sums up what is wrong with Lander's "emerging " food scene.
