They need to train their people better at Bell Road. 1ST: visit no toilet paper in bahroom at opening. 2ND visit, wanted just bowl of soup, told to move to soup where they would take my order, but no one was there and girl helped 2 customers with their order and ignored me, so I left. 3RD time, my husband ordered sandwich and drink and paid for it, but wasnt told the carbonated drink was not working!! (I love your food and service at Prasada in Surprise and have never had a problem there.) 4TH time at Bell road I was told turkey sandwich was not at right temp and it would be 6 minutes and they would bring to me. My husband was through eating before I went back up for my sandwich only to be told another 5 minutes. After waiting again and seeing them give orders to call-in people instead of bringing me my sandwich, I asked for my money back and left. I believe you need a new manager for Bell Road who knows how to train the young servers. read more

I really like the food here. It seems fresh with lots of flavor and large portions. I do not like the way your food gets set upon top in front of everyone's face, pushed along to the register. You end up standing and waiting, while watching your food sit there, for a very long time if it is busy. They need more registers or a different process for checking out. read more

I noticed that in Surprise on Bell Rd, there are some new restaurants being built not too far from Sam's Club. I went for the Southwest Avacado Bowl.House-Chopped Mixed Greens, Rice, Roasted Chicken, Grape Tomatoes, Black Olives, Tri-Color Peppers, Fire Roasted Corn, Black Beans, Avocado, Tortilla Strips, Goat Cheese, Pumpkin Seeds, Roasted Tomatillo Dressing. It comes with a little roll and a hand dipped chocolate Strawberry. I desent size salad that was tasty and filling. Clean restaurant with a friendly staff. I'll keep the "Cafe" in mind when I'm ready for different lunch mood. read more

I'm addicted to Cafe Zupas and order at least once a week. IT IS SO GOOD. Everything I've tried there I love. My favorites are the southwest potato soup and the chicken chipotle salad. It's nice to be able to get something relatively healthy, not overpriced like Panera, and is actually DELICIOUS and good quality. My first time there and the line staff seemed to think I had the menu memorized. When I asked for a sandwich and some soup I was told that I had to order that down by the soup station, with no acknowledgment of my sandwich order. While I waited to be acknowledged at the soup station I asked the person behind me where I would get my sandwich and was told that it would be down at the register when I completed my order, and it was. But the service staff was very impersonal. The turkey club was pretty good but looked nothing like the menu board and the garbanzo vegetable soup was mostly broccoli. I wasn't impressed. read more

Last time there I did not leave a great review, (lukewarm-to-cold soup, sandwich had lots of bread and little meat). This time we tried take-out because my friend likes their salads. I was pleasantly surprised that a take-out salad would be so fresh. They also included extra dressing without asking. They still struggled with the soup. 2 different orders and both were incorrect. Yummmm! Delicious Mediterranean Bowl and the Sunshine Shot drink is amazing. My daughter enjoyed her grilled cheese and chicken tenders. The price is well worth the portion and quality in my opinion. Love the complimentary chocolate strawberry and bread sides. I am SO excited to have this healthy option close to home. The new location in Surprise has a very friendly staff. It is not obvious when it is closed. Every single light is on! The order board lights are on!! The overhead lights in the drive thru lanes are on! When you tell the manager they should have a "Closed" sign,, she says the hours are posted on the door. They are, in 1 inch letters on a glass window and very difficult to see in the dark. I was really excited to try this place, but it turned out to be complete garbage and a waste of $40. Small salad for the price, and the chicken had the taste and texture of refrigerated pre cooked chicken you get from the grocery store. The sandwich was much worst. The "turkey" had a slimey texture and the flavor of that Carl Buddig turkey from the deli meat section of the grocery store that's extremely low quality and available for $0.75. I like this Zupas. It is a little pricey but it usually makes 2 meals for me so it's ok. I like the Cobb salad and the pesto chicken sandwich. If you have the app you can get pretty cool things for points fairly quickly. read more

Our first visit to Cafe Zupas. The service was a five. The servers were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Very good customer service. The need to improve: There was the long hair in our salad and warm tomato basil soup. The cashier was apologetic and made us a new salad but we lost our appetite. Please increase the temperature of the tomato basil. The flavor was great! The broccoli cheese was good and hot. The food portions could be more. Your competitor down the street that serves only salad offers a similar salad (compared to your half) with a better value. We will be back to try your food again. BUT..twice now with recent orders they have forgot something with my takeout order and had to go back to get it corrected. So whoever verifying the finished orders isn't doing their job. I could eat here everyday. We did a pick up order, I think it took longer for us to drive down the road than it did for the order to be ready. Food was hot and fresh, ready to go! I had the brisket grilled cheese, with no munster, add brie, and sub the Italian spread. Accompanied by the mushroom bisque. I was in a rush but got in line because it appeared there was no line. I placed my own order with the drive thru screen, and even tipped the crew without knowing what my experience would be. Turns out they had 10+ cars parked waiting for their orders. The girl running out orders had no clue who she was giving orders to because the 4 "drive thru parking" spots weren't enough to occupy the 10+ people waiting for their food. I ordered a mini strawberry cup and waited for over 15 minutes. Ridiculous that they take your money and then make you wait so you CANT leave. I went inside for a refund and saw that the people waiting in the parked spots had been there for over 30 minutes. It took the manager over 5 minutes to figure out how to refund me, after he barely acknowledged my frustration. Have someone taking orders at the drive thru that will tell you it's a 30 minute wait rather than taking my money blindly. Will not come back to this location. read more

Oh goodness, where to begin... First off, I used to love Zupas. Their chicken enchilada soup, ultimate grilled cheese, and salads were my go-to. Recently, I've noticed a decline in their salad serving sizes. It's crazy that a full salad now fits into the three-compartment to-go container they use for a half salad. There's no difference! Tonight's adventure... I was thrilled when a Zupas location opened near the Surprise Civic Center, complete with a drive-thru. My first order was placed online for drive-thru pickup. I ended up waiting over 20 minutes at the drive-thru window (my bad for waiting so long). Finally, an employee noticed me - yay! Not a great first impression, but tonight's experience involved using their touch screen through the drive-thru. Now that I think about it - GROSS! Anyway, I placed my order. There was no payment option at the touch screen, and as soon as you open your app account, the screen refreshes, so no points for my purchase on my account. I drove up to the drive-thru window. AGAIN, no one was there. Okay, maybe they come to the parking spot to collect payment? I parked and went inside to pay because, let's face it, NO ONE was moving very fast inside. I paid for my order, mentioned that I was parked in Spot 3, and pointed out that there was no one at the window to take my payment. Payment was made, my order confirmed, I got my drink and went back to my car. Another 20 minutes went by, and the person who arrived at the drive-thru two cars behind me was sitting in Spot 2, and her order was brought out to her. Hmm... I went back inside, where the employees appeared to be sleepwalking with no clue what I was looking for. One touched a bag sitting on the pickup shelf, and I said that best not be mine. It was the same bag I saw earlier when I went inside the first time. Then the excuses started: "Well, we were busy, your order is getting finished up now," and a "sorry." Folks, nothing irritates me more than incompetence and excuses. Finally, my order was handed to me. I was still hearing "sorry" but no effort to actually perform guest relations. As I drove home, I called the location and asked to speak to the manager. Let the excuses begin again: busy, sometimes waiting on a product, I did not see this happen, yadda yadda. Oh, and "sorry." GUESS WHAT?! I got home to find that they duplicated my order, and not in a way to make up for their lack of speed or incompetence, but in a way that shows they have ZERO quality/quantity control. My order took twice as long because of their issue, NOT mine, and not because they were "busy" or had to wait for a product. So, jokes on you, Cafe Zupas. read more

I catered with them today (13 boxed lunches). Several boxes were marked for custom orders due to allergies and diet, all were made correctly and with care. The food tasted amazing and while I'm usually a carnivore, their grilled cheese and tomato soup combo is too delicious to pass up. With a comfortable seating area and chill environment, this is a great place to eat with the family or work colleagues. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating and I will definitely continue to order from here and cater to all my offices. read more

My wife and I have been to the Zuppas in Glendale/Peoria many times in the past. It's always great. Today we hit the Surprise Zupss . Food was great as usual. The service was pleasant and attentive.
