I always love visiting Cafe Zupas when I'm in town. I wish they'd open where I live, in Oregon! I was excited to see the menu when I landed as I knew this would be a perfect post flight meal. I had the cottage cheese bowl and added a few additional veggies and it was so fantastic. The service was quick and the food was fresh. The reason I took a star off is because there was a piece of cardboard in my bowl. Things happen, and this won't stop me from visiting again, but wanted to cal that out. read more

First time here last Saturday. Workers were very pleasant. I ordered the protein bowl with chicken, sweet potatoes and cottage cheese with the hot honey. It was delicious. Some of the sweet potatoes were a little undercooked. Besides that the dressing and everything was very flavorful and fresh, chicken was delicious. I can't believe I waited so long to try this place. I went to Café Zupas yesterday around 1:45 pm, and this place completely tanked any chance of me ever coming back. I tried ordering the Pick 2 with two soups. Pretty simple. The menu doesn't say you can't do that anywhere. Not on the board, not in fine print, nowhere. Instead of just making the order, I was told "you can't do that." No explanation. No logic. Nothing. I asked for the manager, and Zana wandered over. She had no clue what the policy even was. She had to stare at the menu board, then ask a coworker, just to come back and tell me no again, still with zero reasoning. Then she hit me with the most ridiculous explanation I've ever heard in a restaurant: it's "implied" that you shouldn't order two soups. Implied? By who? Because it sure wasn't implied to me, and it definitely wasn't written anywhere. Instead of owning the mistake or providing a real answer, she got visibly aggressive the second she was challenged, like I asked her to solve rocket science instead of a lunch order. When I asked for her District Manager to contact me, she took my name and number, but not before throwing out this gem: "Do you go to Panera Bread and do this too?" Yes, actually. And unlike Café Zupas, Panera doesn't whine about it. They encourage it. I left Café Zupas and went straight to Panera for a stress-free lunch. I even kept the receipt so Café Zupas can see how a real company handles customers. Bottom line: the menu is misleading, the manager has no command of the policies, and the attitude was downright unacceptable. If this is how Café Zupas chooses to treat paying customers over something this small, it says everything I need to know. I'll happily spend my money elsewhere. read more

Stopped in for lunch while running errands. Had the usual choose 2, nuts about berries salad and Ham and Provolone sandwich. Always interested in the deserts and noticed the chocolate chip cookie. Decided to add it to the order. Was not disappointed. The line was decent since it was lunch but it moved quickly. The employees were friendly. If I would have thought about it in advance I would have ordered ahead on the app. Usually the tables and trays are removed right away, but they weren't today. It was good food and what I expect when I come here. The sign says they don't accept tips, but it is an option when you pay. I recommend always tipping. read more

This was my first time coming here, and unfortunately I wasn't very happy with the experience. The customer service was not very pleasing, and the food wasn't great. My husband ordered a protein bowl, but the rice was undercooked and the taste overall was not good. He had also requested no olives, but they still added them. When he pointed it out in a respectful way, one of the workers had an attitude and refused to accept it was her mistake, insisting she heard something else. That felt very unprofessional. On top of that, both the men's and women's bathrooms were dirty, which was surprising since there were plenty of employees around but hardly any customers. Overall, the prices did not match the quality of the food or service. With respect, I'm not sure I'll be coming back. read more

My family started coming to Zupas when it first opened here in Arrowhead. The first couple years the place stayed pretty sharp, clean, and food's good. Over time the place has turned somewhat filthy and the meat has changed to something that I'm not recognizing as chicken. Not sure about the salt content but because it's so filthy when we come in it just turns you off. We stopped coming for a couple years. We gave it a shot tonight and it's still filthy. read more

Terrible today. Been coming to Zupas for years now. Usually I go to the one on McDowell.. But we were in the neighborhood of this one. It was extremely slow... chicken noodle soup was cold. When we took it back they gave us the new soup with the noodles on the side saying that was the problem... but of course once we put the nooodles in it was cold... it's soup... it suppose to be hot isn't it???? Then the barbecue chicken salad didn't have enough dressing.. when I went back up they wanted to charge me an additional .79 cents... add on the fact they were out of chocolate strawberries and it took forever to pay for lunch and needless to say not a good experience... Employees have lost their focus on maintaining the restaurant clean, especially since selling the viral Dubai strawberries. People were left in line waiting while employees were trying to find the chocolate. An employee cut open a box in front of people using the knife that was used for food. She handed it off to another employee and that employee just wiped the knife on her jeans. Employees were standing around and talking while ALL tables, booths and napkin dispensers were dirty. I placed a pick up order costing $112.34, It consisted of 3 try 2 combos of grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup, 3 strawberry dubai chocolates, and 3 fountain drinks. I was 15 minutes away from the place and they told me it would take 9 minutes for it to be done. When i arrived, the place was busy and packed so they ran a little late on time, which is completely fine. They told me they were just waiting on the grilled cheese sandwiches and that was it. 20 minutes later, they inform me that they were out of tomato soup and asked if I would like to replace it. I tried replacing one with the Lobster Bisque but they were out of that as well so i just asked for a refund on the soups. Instead, the told me they'd refund me my $112.34, and recharge me for my order that was $96.37. Later that night I checked my bank account and never got the refund. I had to call and ask about it and it turns out they never refunded me, the lady on the phone put me on hold for 30 minutes and only refunded me $38.97. I had to physically go to Zupas and confront them that i needed my refund. Instead, they had me reach out through customer support on email. Not only did I have to wait 30+ minutes for my pickup order, never got my refund, wasted so much time when it was NOT my fault, and spent over $200 there, but it was just an overall inconvenience with Zupas. If i can rate this Zupas location zero stars I definitely would. read more

I have never had the order ready one time when I've came even when they're slow. Not only that almost every time the entire line is ran by the time I get my order I ordered 30 minutes ago! I started even coming later because I knew they took awhile & STILL not ready. The potato soup was amazing! The chile gives it a little kick at the end. Highly recommend!!! My boyfriend got the Italian club and chicken noodle. Also amazing!!! The bread rolls are so so yummy. This location off of bell has terrible customer service. What seemed to be a manger with a black shirt, he was very rude and seemed irritated with any requests me or my husband had to make. When dishing my soup, I almost got a soup with absolute no broth. So with the carelessness and laziness, our food was completely mediocre. Tables were dirty, utensils weren't stocked, and when my husband had walked up to the counter to ask for more, he stood there invisible as if everyone cared more about closing the place. I had the pick two. Turkey Avacado Bacon and the Thi Chicken salad. The sandwich was very basic and small. The salad was ample and good. My wife had the full Crispy chicken Avacado. Her salad was the same size as my salad. Very small for a full. It was $25 with no drinks. The main reason for this review is the place was the dirtiest restaurant I have ever been in. The bathroom had an overflowing trash can and an empty towel dispenser with a roll of paper towels next to the sink. The urinal had not been cleaned in a couple weeks minimum. That is not the gross part the drink / condiment station had thick gue and grime everywhere. This was not a one night of not cleaning. Like the bathroom, it was weeks of sludge. Not only is the food astounding the staff is amazing. Both the lobster red pepper soup and the corn and hatch chili were amazing. Love the special touches served with a roll and and a chocolate covered strawberry. I stopped in this week to get the soup "to go" as I was finally feeling well enough after a week of being ill. I inadvertently got locked out of my car and I wish I'd gotten the name of the sweet gal who was so helpful. One of my favorite local restaurants just for the food, but the manager and the gal who made calls for me to get my car situation straightened out really went beyond the call.
