Nice Nice What I got the angry bee latte iced and also the croissant of the week which was the Biscoff flavor. I was able to sub the dairy for Oat Milk and half the sweetening. The croissant was pretty good as well, they are pretty big and shareable. Environment It was a pretty big space, right on the Main Street of Baldwin park area which parking is not easy near the actual location, there are street parking. Stopped here before work one morning. I had a vanilla chai latte, which I have pretty high standards for, and it was perfect! Not a huge assortment of "specialty options" beyond the basics, but that's not always the end of the world. A lot of beautiful pastry options. Poor service and poor communication between staff. I ordered a lavender cappuccino and never received it. Everyone who ordered after me got their drinks first. Was here today for the first time and it was amazing! I had the goat cheese and spinach quiche which was a very generous portion,served hot and fresh! My friend had avocado toast which was also a generous portion and she said it was very good. The staff was so friendly! Baldwin Park....first time. Nice quiet area on a Saturday morning. Parking was pretty painless. A nice "Euro" cafe. We went for the croissant special. Pick three items and like 8 bucks...a lot you say?????? A lot of food say I!!!!! Two egg omelets on a croisssant..... Had cheddar, bacon, and tomatoes...very good. Son had cheddar and double bacon....yes...three items. There are two parking garages near the shopping area, however, the street parking was not restricted to residents of the mixed-use apts/condos around the area so we found a spot easy peasy. read more

The coffees are fabulous and my hubby roasts his own coffee beans, so I don't give this praise easily, bring a spoiled coffee snob! I had the special which was a ham and Swiss crepe with hash browns that were so crispy and crunchy! The crepe was so light and the perfect breakfast. My parties sampled multiple breakfast items and they were all fairly underwhelming in our opinion. Service was kind but lacking attention - we did not receive several items we paid for but when reminded, employees were quick to act. There is inside and outside seating. In the case of "906" it is done perfectly. Even croissants are made the same day, which is a long process. Service 5/5, the front "check out" spot is sort of hectic with lots of information and menu information being no available to see, so you can imagine that it can be kind of confusing. Never fear though, cafe 906 has excellent service, from the chef and owner in the kitchen to the front of house severs and staff, they helped me to break down the menu in an informative way! I love the QR code menu as it reduces waste, but if you do need a physical menu they have reusable ones as well Ambiance 5/5, this is the easiest section to rate. It's a French cafe, expect quiet and happy moods. Decor adds to the atmosphere and vibe without rushing your mind around. And the seating is astute to the environment while also not getting in the way which is a huge plus. Pricing 4/5, quite simple this as well. If you want HIGH QUALITY FOOD, Made to order you will inevitably pay a higher price. The prices aren't to high that quality seems to be lacking, there seems to be a perfect balance of quality and price, but then again everyone loves a cheaper menu, that's just the reality of the world around us. Parking 3.5/5, being in Baldwin parking is a luxury. There is parking in the several different garages but that is also limited. Street parking is rare unless you Come in on a quiet day. Nonetheless it's still a factor. I highly recommend this cafe if you are looking for extremely high quality cafe foods and coffee. We also enjoyed the croque madame and croque veggie, both came out warm with melty cheese and creamy béchamel. Definitely on the heavier side, but balanced out well by the side salad. I had to try this coffee in a cone at Cafe 906 French Bistro in Baldwin Park. The coffee doesn't leak out since the inside is coated with chocolate. But if it sat long enough the coffee would melt. What a great little French cafe coffee shop! It sits near Lake Baldwin. I've made it a habit to stop here when we can by bike. Seating is available indoor and outdoor, but really it's usually too nice to not sit outside. The area is shaded and service is extremely friendly. The first time I stopped here the owner struck up a conversation about my bike and we ended up talking for 20-30 min or something. Nice friendly people. Here's what really matters.....coffee is Fantastic here. It is one of the most solid non-trendy-boutiquey cups of coffee I've had around.....& they serve it in a real mug.....I'm always a fan of that. They do also serve lattes and cold brews....but really, their standard cup makes that extra effort unnecessary. I've had the breakfast sandwich here....which really isn't a sandwich in the traditional sense. It's best eaten with a fork/knife. Not b/c it's messy....but because it's easier to manage that way. Egg, ham, cheese all tucked into an croissant. Well worth checking out. I'm really a fan of this place, the food, the environment, the people.....and mostly the coffee. read more

I love this cafe. It is the perfect spot for French focused ,casual, lunch or breakfast ---sans attitude:) I love the brie and fig sandwich on a baguette or their chicken or tuna salad on greens. Try to snag a spot at one of the tables outside to watch the dogs walking by, the kids coming out of the kiddie gym across the street, and enjoy the hussle bussle of New Broad Street in the center of Baldwin Park. And you may get to enjoy the breeze over the lake too! I've been here a few times and just had a few pastries, but I can say that I would go again for that croissant. The interior isn't the most Instagram-able, but that's ok! Not every place needs to be white brick with sparse succulents and minimalist furniture. This feels like a cafe in Europe- not the kind in movies, but the kind you *actually* get in any European city. The staff has always been nice and it is always clean. I just witnessed the owner berating, bullying and threatening to call the Police on a special needs young lady. Why did he do this? Because she slipped on a wet floor trying to enter his cafe. She was then escorted to be seated outside. She attempted to enter 2 more times to order and was refused entry , they finally sent a server out to give her a menu and take her order. So she has fallen once, tried to enter two more times for service- essentially being denied 2 times and finally giving her service her 3rd time. She attempted to enter a 4th time to use the restroom and was denied entry- the owner came outside irate and began yelling at her. I quote the owner "Do you want me to call the police to find out what is wrong with you?" She tried to explain herself but he would not listen to understand her needs. Oh how I love French food, and it's awesome that this place is so close to my home! They used to have a Cafe 906 off of Fairbanks. I was bummed they were closed. But I guess they were just relocating here to Baldwin Park. When I walked in, I was greeted by the staff there. I was browsing through the menu on the wall and the girl at the counter started giving me suggestions and explained certain things as well. I ended getting a croque monsieur, which is basically a two slices of bread covered in swiss cheese, with ham in it, and some sort of sauce that I don't know but it's delicious. Cafe 906 is casual and quick if you're looking for something tasty but not necessarily the brunch rush to come with it. I had their bold drip coffee and a ham, Swiss, and spinach croissant sandwich. My croissant was good! I prefer another French Cafe a little closer to my home. There is plenty of outside seating and it looks out to the lake. Enjoy your morning and weather here. Their speciality coffees looked very good but i wanted to try their plain coffee first. A little warning, I'm a bit of coffee snob so what I think about my coffee may not be how others feel. I was the first one in this morning and the place was so peaceful and ready for business. The staff are always so attentive. I ordered a dark roast coffee and omlette with toast. The omelettes are made to order. You can pick three items for the omlette and pay additional for more items. Mine had bacon, turkey and onions. It was cooked well. The atmosphere is pleasant.
