Gourmet Croissants is such a cute little spot in Winter Park! It's right around the Main Street area, which makes it a nice place to stop by and enjoy a slow morning or afternoon. Parking is a little limited, though, especially when the area gets busy. The staff was friendly and welcoming. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, and the interior is super cute, clean, and cozy. I also appreciated the self-serve water station and that they have more than one clean restroom! The outdoor seating was definitely a vibe - plenty of sunshine but also shade coverage, so you can comfortably sit outside, relax, and people-watch. They have LOTS of pastry and croissant options, although I do think the prices are a little high for what you're getting. I also specifically asked for my croissant to be warmed up, but unfortunately it wasn't. It definitely would've been better warm and flaky, especially at that price point. The highlight for me was actually the cortado! It was really good and came with the cutest little madeleine on the side. Such a simple touch, but I loved it and it made the whole presentation feel a little more special. Overall, it's a cute spot with a great atmosphere, friendly staff, lots of options, and a really nice outdoor setup. I love that this bakery has actual breakfast options besides just sandwiches! However, with the name "Croissant Gourmet", I definitely had to try their croissants. I will say that if you are coming with a group, try not to come with more than like 4 people on the weekend because the seating can be a little tight. I opted for the Atlantic croissant sandwich since smoked salmon and goat cheese are my love language. There wasn't that much goat cheese in it, but it was still good! It was a great croissant and the side salad was actually really good also. I also got a double shot latte which had some great quality espresso used in it! The star of the show (which I didn't picture) was the biscoff croissant I got for dessert. It was filled with like some sort of cream/mousse and dipped in chocolate. It was also HUGE. It required its on large size pastry box. I had a wonderful time at breakfast at Croissant Gourmet. The inside of the restaurant was really cute. It has a small bakery feel to it and the lighting and seating options were great. The food was also very tasty. I had a chocolate twist with a side of bacon. The croissant had a nice crunch to it. Honestly, all of the pastries look delicious. I would love to come back for dessert sometime! A few things I wished were different: it was a little pricey. I understand the cost of everything is going up now and I love supporting local. This won't be a regular outing for me but maybe a special treat when I'm in the area again. I also wished my twist was warmed. Maybe I could have made that happen but I didn't ask so that's on me. Croissant Gourmet is one of my very favorite places to pick up a sweet treat. This location also has gelato! The one in Winter Park does not so that was a happy surprise. There is a dedicated parking lot at this location and plenty of seating. My favorite thing to get is the Peach tart. But any of the fruit flavor tarts are wonderful. I love how spacious the dining room is here. And the outdoor seating is nice on a breezy day. The service was ok on the day I went but it was late in the day so maybe they were tired. No smiles. All business. The Winter Park location is where I typically go but I would come back here for the right thing for sure! read more

Wow, I can't believe this was my first time here! I drive by this location all the time and decided to stop in on whim for a solo breakfast one day. The interior is gorgeous and the pastry display case was fully stocked when I arrived. I was impressed by the variety of croissants and sweet treats they had, and everything looked delish. I was more in the mood for something savory, so decided to order one of their croissant breakfast sandwiches. I placed my order with the kind gals at the counter and they gave me a number. I decided to go with with Chef's Signature which is a ham & brie cheese omelet on a plain croissant. It also comes with a side of mixed fruit. To be honest, I was pretty underwhelmed by the sandwich. There was not much flavor at all and the ham inside was kind of wet which also made the texture weird. Maybe this signature French dish just isn't my thing, but I wouldn't get that one again. This review is for the newer location that's on N Orange ave. In appearance its beautiful, and elegant but there is just something about the other location that has a charm this one is lacking. I think it's because of the overall ambiance of where the other location is situated. The cobblestone streets, the outdoor seating and trees surrounding it make you feel as if you really are in Europe, but enough about that; how was the food you ask? Usually when I go to croissant gourmet I always get their.... You guessed it, their croissants. I will admit that both CG bakeries are probably the only places where you will get a decent croissant in Orlando. That being said, I rarely stray from getting one when I do visit, but I was really curious about their crepes, and I love them so... I ordered the one that had the smoked salmon, goat cheese and spinach, it came with a side salad, it was around $17 if I remember correctly. Immediately I noticed that the crepe is thicker, and in taste more eggy. I don't know if that's done on purpose but it's not what I'm use to in a crepe and in all honesty, I probably will stick to just croissants in the future with them. Despite the fat n eggy crepe, we all loved our meals. We took one of their guava and cheese stuffed croissants home and shared it later in the day after dinner. Man.... they should take that guava and cheese croissant over to France, it'll blow their minds!! Also, their drip coffee is great. I drank a large cup black faster than I care to admit. The staff is very welcoming, the interior is well thought out and beautifully decorated. There's a glass wall separating the bakery and the dining room room so you can see where all of the magic happens. The food is displayed beautifully, as the first food stylist had arrived in the morning and perfectly placed everything, it was such a pleasure to see, especially if you are one for aesthetics! Food was delicious and staff was very flexible. My partner had the avocado toast with a fried egg on top as they were out of poached eggs. I had a croissant with an egg omelette with cheddar cheese and mushroom, the omelette was beautifully cooked, the croissant tasted raw and upon closer inspection, it appeared to be as well, I consulted staff about this, and they advised me the croissants appear this way and become this consistency because of the omelette - not something I've ever experienced before and have had many croissants in this style; but luckily the service was great and they swapped the croissant out for a new one and toasted it and served my omelette on the . For our toddler, we ordered a side of eggs as we were forewarn. The kids meal was quite large. And the side of eggs was absolutely perfect for him. I was driving home from Orlando and decided to stop in Winter Park on the way. It is a very charming little town with an ideal downtown area around Park Avenue. There are many restaurants and stores along that street and a few side streets. I decided to try this place for breakfast. They have a large showcase of desserts which looked amazing, but was more in the mood for something savory so I got one of their breakfasts croissants with egg, mushroom and bacon which came with a side salad. It was good overall, but I was expecting crispy bacon and the bacon was kind of soggy which was kind of off putting. It's such a cute spot, definitely more spacious than the original Park Ave. location, which is a big plus if you're meeting up with friends. There's on-site parking (huge win), and the interior has a sleek, modern vibe with a nice open view of the kitchen. It feels bright and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed breakfast. I tried a berry cheese danish. The flavor was saved by fresh berries, but the cheese part under was gritty and lacked the rich cheese flavor that even prepackaged danishes have. It was also wet and loose which made the pastry soggy. My friend ordered a meat soufle which had a decent creamy and savory flavor, however was much too salty. Also, the meat seemed to be only bacon. Highly recommend the cookies, light and buttery and not too sweet. They have a homemade graham cracker that is particularly delicious! Also very important to note is their bread pudding... wow. I was pleasantly surprised to see that their version includes chocolate chips and while it seems a little dense at first (I took it home) once I popped it into the microwave for about 45 seconds it was delightfully light and very filling. We decided on croissants after an early morning appointment and as we have tried most of the French cafes in the area, we realized there was one we hadn't yet tried - Croissant Gourmet. I don't know how we missed this one. We both opted for the large plain croissant which was one of the best we've had. You order at the counter and your order is delivered to your table, either inside or outside. We decided to eat on the spacious outside patio on this nice spring morning, but the inside is also very nice. We've been to Croissant Gourmet a number of times now and it's one of our favorite places to go for lunch. Even in the summer, it can be really hot out, but the shade they have allows you to have a little bit of outdoors air without melting too much in the heat. One of my favorite things to get is the chicken salad sandwich with a side salad it's truly my favorite thing to get there, though there are many great things on the menu, both sweet and savory. The people there are always so friendly and we love bringing family and friends there who've never been. For some reason, we found this to be a much more pleasant experience than the location that is just off Park Avenue. Perhaps it is the space or the popularity but the service, the food and the environment are much more pleasant at this on Orange Ave. Definitely check it out when you get a chance! read more

We tried the regular croissant (which was ok), the hazelnut one (was good, but got soggy), I also ordered the croque monsieur, thinking that was a twist with a croissant instead of the bread, and I got frustrated when it came just the regular, I explained to the server about it, and she said that this was what I ordered and done. It's bright and spacious with lovely outside seating away from the street. You can watch them make the pastries through the large glass windows. Long overdue review for this bakery location since I have been here more than 10 times since it opened. Food: I have tried a lot of the bakery items such as carrot cake, monkey bread, apple turnover, croissants, apple tart, bread pudding, chocolate crossaints, etc. one thing I can tell you.... They really focused on quality and balancing their flavors. I usually find pastries very sweet or overpowering. But Crossaint gourmet has done such a good job in creating a light sweet balancing pastries throughout each item and it is consistent. For example: they have one of the best carrot cakes with a light sweet balancing cream and carrot w/ the cake part being a little salty to counter the flavor with the walnut. Literally they have the best carrot in Orlando so far. I have tried them all from glass knife, Gideon, sister honey, charlies, Publix , Whole Foods, etc. The monkey bread is done similar where the honey keeps the top part of the cake and the bottom is a dry cinnamon bread layer. Combined together it goes so well with a cup of coffee. In addition, I love their apple turn over because it is so crunchy with a mouth full of apple filling in it; especially when it is warm. I do wish it was a bigger pastries haha The prices for this pastries are on the higher side but not as expensive as glass knife or other bakeries and restaurants. Definitely worth the cost. 5/5 Service: very helpful and super attentive. They clean up their patio fast and it prevents flies flying around. Furthermore, I love when they bring your latte to you if you drink there, they give a small Madeline to go with it. Even though it is tiny, the detail and effort plays a crucial impact to the experience. It makes the experience better. 5/5 Atmosphere: great atmosphere especially for a date or to come read a book. They are trying to regret a chill casual Parisian atmosphere coffee shop with the music and vibe. They have another location in downtown Winter Park but I like the ambiance at the Orange Ave location better. Inside seating can be a challenge during busy times, which is only a concern during bad weather. Otherwise, outside seating is shaded and lovely. I've had the chicken salad croissant and blueberry almond croissant- both flaky and delicious. The lattes are wonderful in depth and flavor. And the staff are genuinely nice. I have always wanted to try the one on Morse Avenue but never got around to it. Recently we were in the area and stopped at Mama Napoli for bread then decided we were so close we would try CG. The parking lot is huge though to exit from the rear you have to traverse some not so great roads. I am sure this will be addressed in the future. Nonetheless, The ambiance is bright,clean and welcoming inside with nice outdoor seating also. There is an amazing amount of romm inside and out. There are sweet and savory items but we opted for sweet to try the first time. Both pastries were excellent with flaky dough and just enough sweetness. The variety is excellent with much to choose from, regardless of your preferences. The size of the items is proportionate to the price so you get what you pay for and I do not mind paying more for quality. The servers and service was excellent despite how busy the location was. I could see the employees pitching in to help each other. The kitchen is not open but see-through so you can see the products being made fresh.
