The new group of people are just as friendly as the previous people who made it through the pandemic in Manteca but have moved. There have been several owners since I've been in town almost ten years. The VietNamese Iced Coffee is always the best you can find in town. The previous time I was here, I had them add a bit of white mocha, which was interesting. I got the Shrimp Burger today, with fruit cocktail. It was pretty much perfect. Prices have changed a bit and I was a little surprised at the final total, but I will wait a while before another such purchase. It's about 1.75 miles' walk to this restaurant. I wasn't feeling my best and one of the staff hurriedly cleared the staff table for me, so that I could sit. Later, someone was coughing and another person rushed water to that woman. When you go somewhere else, they look at such people and say to each other "I wish they'd stop coughing. They'd better not make me sick." or some such. These people care about people, though. I forgot to take a picture of the food and im so sad I didn't take a picture of the masterpiece of a sandwich that was handed to me. The food was amazing! I got a Pork Belly and kimchi Banh Mi and my fiancée got a breakfast sandwich. The presentation was gorgeous and the flavor matched how gorgeous it looked. The perfect blend of flavors in my pork belly banh mi were explosive and fresh beautifully handcrafted. The the breakfast sandwich had a pleasant pesto surprise that complimented the entirety of the sandwich. I also got a Vietnamese coffee and I dont get them often but this one has been the best one I've had in awhile! Well blended and made perfect and my fiancée had an almond and banana drink that was flavorful and sweet. The ambience is peaceful, home feel, Cambodian and western feel making it a comfortable and enjoyable experience! Also i loved the music choice that day with oldies fitting the vibe of the shop very well! Customer service was great served with a smile and respectful! Overall I absolutely loved this place, heavily recommended coming here for a quick bite to eat or to chill and hang out at! 10/10 will come again!! read more

The location is small and there are a few tables outside but it's a nice little spot to relax . I ordered the breakfast burrito... now it was my first time . I had no idea what to order. Everything on the Yelp pictures looks good to me . But it was super early and the one item I didn't see pictured was the burrito . I had the breakfast burrito with sausage . At most it's 3 stars out of 5. Not great, not bad .... Just very bland . The cheese in it tastes like it didn't belong. The eggs /veggies not seasoned. The sausage did its job and gave it flavor . They have a mix of American and Vietnamese cuisine. I shared half of the turkey club and roast beef sandwich with my friend. Both were the perfect size, quality ingredients, well toasted and really tasty! It also comes with a side, either fruit, Mac salad or potato salad. We found a wonderful hidden gem here in Manteca. While driving through and needing a place to kill some time and have lunch, I looked up the highest rated lunch spots in town and Café Aroma was top on the Yelp list. It was a few miles out of the way off the freeway but well worth it. They have a ton of choices of sandwiches and salads as well as Vietnamese Vermicelli Bowls. They also have all the drinks coffee, tea and even boba drinks. I chose the tri tip mánh mì sandwich and hubby had the Thanksgiving Day sandwich both came out hot and delicious. I also ordered a black milk tea with boba at 25% sweet and it was perfect. I can never turn down a boba tea! Come check them out they really know their stuff. They have some inside and outside eating space and we were lucky to get a table inside so we stayed and enjoyed ourselves. I'm addicted to the Jazzy sandwich. The best veggie sandwich ever. The owners are lovely family who provide great service and even better suggestions. I've been coming here for years and if I want a pick me up or don't have an appetite- I know I can rely on a yummy sandwich or milk tea to satisfy my mood. It can get crowded during lunch hours and have a long line but it is worth the wait and the owners will always communicate if it will run long or if they are out of ingredients and whether it can be subbed or if a different sandwich is recommended. Had this place book marked for a while, with their limited hours I finally made it there today. Nice family run business, great selection of sandwiches including Banh Mi sandwiches. We decided to give both a try and was impressed with the detail and attention in making the sandwiches, they weren't just tossed and everything was very fresh. They also don't skimp, there was lots of veggies & meat in our Banh Mi. It did take a good 10-15 min to get our sandwiches so plan for it or call in your order for pickup. Got the Hot Torta Supreme with chicken and I normally like pesto but the flavor of red onions and pesto tasted off to me. Removed the red onions which were super fresh and plentiful and liked the taste better. You can also order espresso drinks, Vietnamese coffee and boba drinks.
