We ordered the pastrami sandwich, knish, and matzo ball soup, and every item was delicious. The pastrami was tender and flavorful, the knish was perfectly prepared, and the matzo ball soup was comforting and satisfying. A special shout-out to the complementary coleslaw and pickles--they were absolutely outstanding and complemented the meal perfectly. If you're a fan of classic Jewish Delicatessen food or wanting to try somethong new, Eppes Essen is definitely worth a visit. We'll be back!

Split a turkey, corned beef, cole slaw with Russian sandwich and a kasha knish. It was good, not great, not bad, just middle of the road. I am a bit of a deli snob having worked in a deli in Brooklyn in my early years. If you have the craving why not give it a try. I finally made it there the other day and was shocked at how substantial the place was. It was no small bakery, but was a full cafe and gourmet shop as well. Though I did not try their savory sandwiches, breads, salads, or spreads at that time, I did purchase some of their sweets. First, the Chocolate Rugelach were some of the best I have had. The delicate, flaky cookies were like little croissants and were ribboned with a rich chocolate spread. Their version also had hints of vanilla, which I really enjoyed. I also got one of their large Chocolate Chip Cookies, which was thin, but packed with gooey bittersweet and semi-sweet chocolate. It also had a light sprinkling of Maldon sea salt on the top. It was super decadent! Liv Breads exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to revisiting to try many more of their items.

Even though the interior was small, the tables were full when I got my pickup order. I was also early and acknowledged I didn't mind waiting, but the cashier quickly prepared my order, which was nice. The soy garlic wings sounded intriguing, and they were. Not too saucy, and the chicken was nice and crisp. They made such a great shareable for football but are obviously great for any chicken craving. The sides offerings weren't much, but I am intrigued to return and try a potato or rice dog. But yes, it was indeed good chicken, and it has a lot of chicken styles to fit everyone's satisfaction.
