I have been to this place so many times that I have lost count. Whenever I am in Milford, this is a place that I stop by. Parking is a bit challenging as it has very limited street parking. However, there is a train station parking right across. The place itself is pretty large. There is an area to order food with Menu choices written on the chalkboard behind the counter. There is seating in the front and then there's seating in the back as well as a small private room, which is not very private as there is always a group sitting in there. There is also additional seating outside and sometimes there are musicians who play to the aidience. The food itself, specially the crepes are awesome. This review is solely based on the taste of the honey Iced Latte. There is plenty of seating, the staff is hard working, there are plenty of fresh food options. The parking around is limited to 1 hour, the coffee taste was mid level when compared to shops and roasters across the USA. Where Cafe Atlantique is lacking is the LOW quality matcha!!! I asked for it be remade and after still took a few sips and ended up throwing it out because I was so disappointed Matcha drinkers can taste the difference in quality. This one was subpar, and I felt bad that I had to go BACK to request for more powder because it was not strong enough and lacked flavor. As a customer, I'm paying $4.75 for a weak tasting matcha?? Doesn't make sense! I'd even pay an extra $.25- $.75 to receive better quality matcha!! Even the second time around, the matcha still tasted weak. Again, Sydney was nice enough to remake it no problem. But to save everyone's time and energy, please get better quality matcha because customers notice! read more

Was in the area running errands and Googled my way into Café Atlantique. It looked cute--clean with a quirky little vibe and some extra space in the back. I was on the hunt for good coffee and a quick bite, and... well, I got a decent version of both. I grabbed their house coffee over ice--not bad, but not mind-blowing. No oat milk in sight (that I could see), which was a bit of a letdown. The real winner was the breakfast sandwich: turkey, egg, and cheddar, toasted on ciabatta. It was hot, cheesy, and hit the spot. Visited this place while visiting downtown Milford and had a really nice time! It is a cute cafe with live music going on the day we were visiting. I had a sparkling rose lemonade which was tasty and my sister had an espresso martini which she enjoyed as well. I had a caprese sandwich which comes with a bean salad - both delicious. The bean salad makes an awesome side and was very flavorful. The sandwich was listed to come on "ciabatta" which it definitely was not, really just slices of thick white bread. I wouldn't call it that if that's not what it is. There's a lot of cute art from seniors in the area that was fun to look at in one of the back areas. It was fun to relax and sit for a while. Don't order espresso martinis outside of happy hour unless you want to be talked down to and badmouthed to the rest of the employees right in front of you. Staff is so judgemental for no reason. I've been coming here for a few months and staff is so nice and it's a beautiful space - and I totally understand the stress of barista life as a barista of over a decade - but man this is the worst cappuccino I've ever had in my life. It had zero foam, was completely scalding (think - ice rink vending machine), and the beans tasted like they were completely burned. I understand a barista can only do so much with what they're given, but seriously guys I feel like we need to hire someone to deep clean that espresso machine because this coffee was so bad that it made me cry of disappointment. If you like your drinks on the sweeter side, this place is for you! If you do not, hmm maybe not as much. I've come here twice and the first time I got a dirty chai and it was super good! The next time I got a mocha and honestly, pretty lacking. It just tasted like chocolate milk, no espresso flavor at all. But the ambiance of the place is super vibey which I like. They have street parking or a parking lot across the street. The service is okay, not the sweetest people but pretty neutral. Took a new job in milford and wanted to try out a local coffee shop. I was a littke disappointed with the coffee selection. They do not have cold foam or old brew coffee. The batistas were not very friendly. They were more worried about personal conversations then helping customers. It was not the cleanest coffee shop but not the worst. Parking was a bit of a pain. Im used to spending money on good coffee but i felt like they were very over priced. However the only reason i gave 4 syars is the chicken pesto pianni I got was delicious. read more

5 stars goes for Cafe Atlantique's service, food and vibes. Every time I'm around the area I opt for taking a walk around town and grabbing a bite from here. Their crepes are delish! Both sweet and savory, can really fulfill any craving you've got. Additionally, their breakfast items are great too -- I had the egg and cheese sandwich on ciabatta bread this morning and loved how fresh everything was. Fond memories of when I used to come here with friends and significant others--days when this was more a coffeehouse than a cafe--brought me back again. Though Cafe Atlantique's decor, feel, and menu have evolved over the years, it remains a wonderful little place to stop when you don't feel like dining at finer establishments in the area like El Barrio/Bistro Basque or Strega or at pubs like Archie Moore's, Eli's Tavern, or Seven Seas (which, by the way, makes the best plate of fried clams you'll ever have) or just wish a beverage or dessert. Cafe Atlantique is a cozy little place where you can have a coffee or tea or glass of wine and a bite to eat while working on your report or debut novel on your laptop or chatting with friends while relaxing in some very comfy armchairs. There's also seats outdoors. I hear their crepes are a must. I love a good London Fog and Cafe Atlantique serves one that far surpasses any I have had in cafes and coffee shops I will not name in nearby New Haven. The barista mastered the delicate art and chemistry of mixing Earl Grey tea with lavender and vanilla syrups and steamed skim milk. I also thoroughly enjoyed my grilled turkey, bacon and Swiss panini on multigrain bread and the three-bean salad served with it. Scrumptious! Food, beverage, chatting, and working aren't all you can get here. Why not support artists with a purchase of their work that adorns the walls? Right now, glitter art diva Sue Zola's work is on sale. (My personal favorite was her Warhol-esque portrait of Frida Khalo.) Over 20 years later and I still love coming here. I hope Cafe Atlantique stays around for another 20 and more! read more

After the beach in Milford, I decided to stop by Cafe Atlantique for a coffee. It was 3:30, and they were closing at 4:00. There were people inside and outside who didn't seem in any rush to get going. Cafe Atlantique is a coffee shop that also serves alcohol. They also offer breakfast and lunch. I noticed they had some interesting flavor shots for their coffee. I went with lavender rose. The others I was with got a regular iced coffee and a Bud Light. We also got a double chocolate cookie to share. Wow, I was so impressed by this coffee. You could actually smell the lavender aroma from it. The presentation was very lackluster, it came in a basic plastic cup. I have some tiny rose buds that I use to garnish coffee at home. There are so many things they could do to make the coffee stand out from the rest. The taste was also pretty unique. It tasted sweet and floral at the same time! Truly one of the most surprising and best coffee flavors I've ever had. The cookie was huge. It was almost as big as a Crumbl Cookie. It was a little on the drier side on the outside, but rich and crunchy on the inside. It was all dark chocolate goodness! My first experience at Cafe Atlantique was a very pleasant one. The patio is small, but they have a bowl of water for the dogs and a leash hook right by the door so you can run in and order or pick up your food without worry. Local coffee house that serves everything fresh. First off the atmosphere is chill and comfortable. There are many nooks and cranny's, places to relax, read and take in the day. There are also social seating areas and outdoor seating for you and your friends. Everything on the menu is made fresh. The baked goods are provided from well known and delicious bakeries. Still not impressed with this place, I got lunch here and got the turkey bacon with cheddar instead of Swiss cheese and it was blah, the bacon wasn't crispy it was soggy/chewy and obviously not fresh and the turkey was weirdly packed together as if the entire sandwich components were pre prepared. It reminded me of a sandwich I got on an international flight. I also wish that there was an alternative to the bean salad side, a small regular salad would have been preferable for me. My friends salad was OK, nothing special. We both got pumpkin spice lattes and we enjoyed those, so if we come back it would be just for drinks. Since I recently moved to Milford Connecticut I was enthralled by the idea of living close to Cafe Atlantique but unfortunately that enjoyment has ended early with the service I've received over multiple occasions, I feel completely let down. Of the five times that I've been to this cafe three times I've walked out because of the sheer lack of acknowledgement of my presence in the establishment, mind you, I was the only customer in line waiting to order and no big orders were being prepared before me. For example today April 22nd 2023 there were three female employees behind the register and one male employee making conversation with a guest sitting and eating. Myself and my partner entered with no help or anything, which is fine, but when we approached the register to order all employees had left the register and were working on food and lemonade drinks of the sort, again understandable as they were working. So there we stood as the minutes passed as each employee looked in our direction but as if looking through us because no greeting, no "well be right with you" no "one moment" no acknowledgement what's so ever and this lasted for a painfully long 10 minutes before deciding to give our business to the much more attentive scratch bakery nearby. This is just one of the 2 other instances and unfortunately 65% of the times I have been there have not been great at all. HUGE LETDOWN, hopefully service improves but will no longer be my first choice for coffee. read more

Stopped in for a quick bite and a coffee. Environment was french and soothing. Food was good, the staff were polite and inviting with high productivity. This place is located on a happening small side street downtown. It's a quaint place with tall windows that make you wanna sit at a table in front of them and watch people walk or cars drive by .
