Really enjoyed our coffee date me and hubby went to this spot to have a coffee date. The space is so spacious and full of beautiful art. It was the perfect thing to do in this -0 weather we are having. The staff were not super friendly but they weren't rude either, just regular. The star of the show for me because I'm on a competition prep was the sugar free flavors. I had an Americano with several of the flavors hazelnut, vanilla and chocolate it was really good. Stopped by here on a whim after seeing the crazy long line outside - figured it had to be good if that many people were waiting! Got the Caprese Panini and it was tasty, but wow they really don't hold back on the cheese. Like, I'm talking an OVERLOAD of it. If you're a cheese lover you'd probably be in heaven, but it was honestly a bit much for me. Didn't know it came with a side salad too which was a pleasant surprise and helped balance things out. The cafe itself is pretty spacious but feels smaller than it actually is because it's pretty dim inside - not many windows so the lighting is kinda moody. Has a cozy vibe though. I came in with high hopes... left dehydrated and disappointed. It's a cute little café. Food and coffee were good but place is a trip. Went to grab a bottle of water, none in the cooler. Asked for a cup of water and was told "we don't do that anymore." So I asked for bottled and was told "we only have what's over there." I point out there's no water in the cooler to which the woman working the register replied, "Yeah, I guess we're out of water." A coffee shop... out of water. Make it make sense. Then I ordered avocado toast. They said they were "out of avocado." My friend right next to me orders the same thing and somehow gets avocado toast?? We came here on a Friday afternoon. Great ambience and plenty of seating, including outdoors. I ordered the zaatar bread with arugula and Kalamata olives and it was full of flavor and so fresh. I switched locations at work and have been looking for a new coffee shop in the area. Drum roll walnut beach won!! It's deff a "hole in the wall" find tucked away in milford. The cold brew coffee is 10/10 their food has allot of extremly healthy options thay you don't see much at coffee shops. Thie sandwiches have great flavor just a little small. My parents live right down the street from this place and I've gone almost every day! The matcha latte is delicious, hot or iced. I've gotten the bagel, bacon egg and cheese and the pastries. They were all yummy and you don't have to wait long, even if there is a long line. Make sure to try one of their flavored syrups in your coffee! read more

This is a cute cafe close to the Silver Sands State Park. There's street parking outside. Service was respectful and friendly. What a gorgeous place to get coffee from! It's in such a cute spot, perfect to stop by before going to the beach. Their coffee is great but a bit milky, I found getting mine with an extra shot was perfect! All the flavors we tried were great, and staff were amazing as well, particularly the wonderful girl who was there making the coffees everyday! We did try their BEC breakfast sandwiches and had mixed feelings, as Southerners who ordered Canadian bacon, which is our own fault! I visited here with a friend for the first time yesterday afternoon. Service was a little slow despite it not being crazy busy but I did appreciate that they checked to make sure I was grabbing my own drink when I went to grab my friend's drink for her. It's a cute little place with a beautiful patio and a homey atmosphere. My apple cider was delicious and my friend's chai was tasty. Visited this cute little beach town on a beautiful spring day and we decided to try the local coffee shop for lunch. This place is absolutely adorable and I could picture walking over for morning coffee or sitting on the patio on a sunny afternoon, working on my computer and sipping and cool iced tea.... The food - we had several different sandwiches and the walnut salad- was delicious and the sandwiches were so big we certainly could've shared them... They were pretty expensive for sandwiches, but like I said large and very good tasting. Several of us got the Arnold Palmer, which was OK not quite as much lemonade as I would've liked but good nonetheless one got the lemonade and another member of our party got a bottled drink out of the cooler. We sat down inside to eat, and once the bottled drink was opened we noticed it wasn't very cold. Someone in our group, went up to the counter and asked for a cup of ice to go with the drink... We are pretty surprised that they charged us for the glass and ice since we had Probably spent around $100 on a few sandwiches an a salad and the drink that needed the ice was a drink we had purchased from them.Even worse they charged $2 for a cup of ice! read more

The food and coffee are decent, but the place always seems to be crowded, and the music is very loud - it can be difficult to read or hold a conversation (which is the point of a coffee shop). It's a bit pricey, too, as is everything in Milford now after the influx of New Yorkers. And if you like real bacon on your sandwiches, you're out of luck because they only serve turkey bacon here. read more

Found this tucked away coffee shop and loved it. It's a great place to grab a quick coffee with some friends or to study at! They have free wifi and decent tables to sit at (if it's not busy). One down side is that they have very minimal outlets so bring your laptops charged. Noise level is also loud but with a pair of soundproof headphones I was able to study well. There is plenty of parking available in the front and street parking. The coffee itself was okay. This was my second time here. I've tried a few things and my favorites are the tiramisu latte and breakfast wrap. Everything else I was not a big fan of. Delightful cafe in walking distance of the beach. There is plenty of free street parking. Various options of seating as well. There is outdoor seating for two or you can relax inside at one of there different seating selections. I included a picture of the menu but they also have a baked good case as well. I picked up a Rose Sugar Cookie and Chocolate Chip Muffin Top for my teens. I ordered an iced tiramisu latte with oat milk and a gluten free toast with avocado, egg, and tomato with everything bagel seasoning. Both were very yummy. I later came back from a walk on the boardwalk and ordered a freshly squeezed iced lemonade. It was absolutely delicious and the perfect refreshment after a long hot walk. Ordered a turkey, egg, and cheese sandwich for breakfast today and can still taste all the nitrates in the turkey deli. For ten dollars you'd think they'd do better. They scrambled the egg and it had no flavor. Bread it came on was decent. Options for pastries and or desserts was not there. Couple muffins and some bread is all I saw. I thought this would be a place with a beach view and it didn't. I just got to sit outside on their small slotted table top and hoped nothing fell through the large slots. I've been going to the Walnut Beach Coffee House once a week for the last two years with a group. Lately I've had a real problem with the onion fumes from the kitchen, my eyes get itchy and swollen. It's not always comfortable to sit outside. A few times I have and I met with other people who were also there to get away from the onion fumes. I hope management reads this and considers setting up a different process for chopping and cooking onions, because the ventilation can't clear it. I'm at the point of choosing not to go. Walnut Beach Coffee has been on my radar because I've seen Food Blogger Friends post about it on Instagram. One of them actually called Walnut Beach her favorite coffee place. I pocketed that information because I visit Milford a few times a year. Today, I visited for the first time. The coffee shop, with its light exterior colors, definitely reflects a beach town vibe. It was cute inside and numerous people were hanging out. Service was friendly. They had some baked goods displayed, but otherwise, I didn't explore the food menu. The baked goods looked decent, but their appearance probably wouldn't play a role in me returning. I ordered a Cold Brew with Coconut Cold Foam. If I had closed my eyes and never looked at the coffee, I probably would give Walnut Beach 5 Stars, because the coffee tasted good. It was smooth and had a slight coconut flavor. I've got to downgrade a star, however, because the drink never presented with a distinct layer of cold foam on top and black coffee underneath. I assume they handed it to me as soon as it was made because I didn't wait long. The cold foam had already dispersed through the coffee so there were no visible areas of black coffee. Rather, the entire drink was very light. That has not been my cold foam experience at other top CT coffee shops. I would absolutely return to Walnut Beach for my normal order - a black iced coffee/cold brew. I definitely recommend you check it out. Four Stars read more

This was such a cute coffee shop with a beautiful aesthetic. Love the location of it too how it was just down the street from the beach. Parking was adequate but limited. My pup and I came on a Friday afternoon. Siobhan was warm and friendly. She offered me a great selection of choices when it came to iced latte flavors and goodies. I opted for the honey lavender iced latte which was delicious! I also had a mini chocolate chip cannoli, also wonderful. Everything was top notch from the decor to the service to the flavors! I paid $32 for two coffees, an egg and cheese sandwich and a breakfast wrap and I feel like I got jipped. The coffee is way better at dunkin than it is at this place. The egg and cheese was nothing special at all and not worth the $5. The breakfast wrap on a spinach roll was absolutely disgusting and it came with a salad which I thought was weird. All I tasted in the wrap was balsamic and what tasted like was rotten vegetables. I was struggling to swallow it. The service was nice and the atmosphere was very nice though.
