We loved that it's connected to the BVR experience, and the golf cart ride from the resort made getting there even more fun and convenient. It was especially nice being able to travel with our dogs and have such a welcoming experience. My Mom and I came into town for Memorial Day weekend and we ended up having breakfast and dinner here. We loved both meals. We both had salad for dinner and I also had the French onion soup. For breakfast, Mom had two eggs, Canadian bacon, and toast and I had the yogurt parfait, which was the best yogurt parfait I've ever had. If I lived in Lauderdale by the Sea, I would eat breakfast there at least once a week. And the staff is very nice and accommodating. We sat inside for dinner (it was a Thursday night - I'm not sure if they're always open for dinner), but they had a piano player, which was a nice touch. We sat outside for breakfast on a Saturday and they had a fan blowing to help beat the heat. If I ever go back to Lauderdale by the Sea, I'll be stopping by here again for sure! read more

I went recently for lunch with a group of women from our condo social. I went for the fresh pineapple juice and filet mignon sliders, came with fries. Had breakfast here this morning. Place is extremely well kept, clean and welcoming. Service was prompt and friendly. My husband had his standard - two eggs sunny side up, bacon, fruit and toast (he skipped the home fries). Said it was great. I had the classic Benedict. Menu says "house made hollandaise" and I believe it. The Benedict was very good as was the hollandaise. I added the nice mixed fruit. Waiter says they have live music Thursday and Friday evenings. It comes without a surprise that these folks get such a high rating. I came here this morning, not knowing, if there was any coffee around this place, I am a visitor. The manager proceeded to make me a cup of coffee right away. I asked if they would take Apple Pay, and he said that there wasn't a problem. Both manager and assistant manager gave me a wonderful service at this place. This is a very nice place close to the street, and close to the beach. I highly recommend this café. Stopped by Cafe BVR after a day on the beach for some much needed refreshment and food. It happened to be Easter Sunday so they had a special Easter menu with limited dishes to choose from. We got the roasted beet & orange salad with a side of home fries, and the loaded pancake tacos. The salad was super fresh and the flavors combined nicely. The home fries was more of a twice baked potato, and it had a nice crisp and bite to it. The pancake tacos were unique and tasty, we got some more of the cilantro syrup on the side. Finally, the arnold palmers we got to drink were refreshing after a hot day outside. Service was fantastic from the hostess to our server. Found my new go-to breakfast/brunch spot in Lauderdale by the Sea! This place was recommended to my girlfriend and me from the bartenders at Arubas. Not only were the servers and hostess incredibly kind and attentive, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Plus, the interior is stunning, with a beautifully decorated lounge, extensive drink offerings, and delicious breakfast. Well, it's Friday night and we decided to dine out at Café BVR at 4404 Bougainvilla Dr., Lauderdale by The Sea. This was probably one of the best dinners we've had in a while. Service was amazing. Appetizers were on point. I ordered the filet mignon 8 ounce with potato and asparagus and it was perfect. Could almost cut it with my fork. Perfectly seasoned and you must order it if you're a meat lover. So much better than Ruth's Chris Steak House. Joanne had the blackened swordfish and this was highly recommended by our server Paola. You must ask for her when you go into dine. From 5-6 p.m. drinks are discounted and free appetizers are passed out to all the guests . Order the lollipop lamb chops as an appetizer or the clam chowder which was delicious. The owner came over to greet us and ask about our dining experience.We had excellent reviews from all six of us. He did offer us the whiskey cake with lemon ice cream which was the final touch for the evening. This dining experience is only done on the first Friday of each month so get there early and I would recommend no later than 5-5:30 PM. Thinking we'll be back next month. Oh the live entertainment was perfect. Everyone was still talking about it Saturday morning. Seating is minimal so get there early. This restaurant is definitely on Larry's List. read more

We were talked into trying this place out by the owner as we were walking past to a different restaurant. It's a small start up and we like to support small businesses. It was morning and we wanted breakfast so my wife ordered the classic Benedict and I ordered the cowboy breakfast bowl. We also ordered hot tea to drink. The cowboy breakfast bowl was plentiful, filled with eggs, potatoes, and brisket. The brisket wasn't my favorite because it was a little tough and had a strange sauce that had a hint of sweetness. Not what I'd expect in a Southwestern themed dish. The Benedict wasn't very good either. It had a very thin slice of ham and the hollandaise sauce tasted like it was made from a packet. The poached eggs also had a hint of vinegar in the taste. I'm aware that poached eggs are often prepared in vinegar water but I've never tasted the vinegar in other poached eggs I've had. The final straw was the hot tea was served luke warm instead of hot. Bottom line, we wish we'd had gone to the other restaurant. read more
