My Mom and I came into town for Memorial Day weekend and we ended up having breakfast and dinner here. We loved both meals. We both had salad for dinner and I also had the French onion soup. For breakfast, Mom had two eggs, Canadian bacon, and toast and I had the yogurt parfait, which was the best yogurt parfait I've ever had. If I lived in Lauderdale by the Sea, I would eat breakfast there at least once a week. And the staff is very nice and accommodating. We sat inside for dinner (it was a Thursday night - I'm not sure if they're always open for dinner), but they had a piano player, which was a nice touch. We sat outside for breakfast on a Saturday and they had a fan blowing to help beat the heat. If I ever go back to Lauderdale by the Sea, I'll be stopping by here again for sure! read more

We visited after looking at the breakfast menu but were late enough that they were serving lunch items as well. It's only fitting to have fish for your last Florida meal. The Mahi Mahi sandwich was fresh and delicious blackened. The lemon caper dill sauce really added to it. Their french fries were perfectly crisped and salted. I asked for medium rare but it was mostly medium. Still delicious and with thinner sliced meat for the Benedict understandably hard to get perfect. Had breakfast here this morning. Place is extremely well kept, clean and welcoming. Service was prompt and friendly. My husband had his standard - two eggs sunny side up, bacon, fruit and toast (he skipped the home fries). Said it was great. I had the classic Benedict. Menu says "house made hollandaise" and I believe it. The Benedict was very good as was the hollandaise. I added the nice mixed fruit. Waiter says they have live music Thursday and Friday evenings. It comes without a surprise that these folks get such a high rating. I came here this morning, not knowing, if there was any coffee around this place, I am a visitor. The manager proceeded to make me a cup of coffee right away. I asked if they would take Apple Pay, and he said that there wasn't a problem. Both manager and assistant manager gave me a wonderful service at this place. This is a very nice place close to the street, and close to the beach. I highly recommend this café. My friend booked this place for a small group lunch. We were seated outside- a few tables were there. The inside looks cozy with booths. The restaurant has been open for a few months, although- they are only open till 2pm. The server was literally so close during most of our meal- it was a bit awkward. Stopped by Cafe BVR after a day on the beach for some much needed refreshment and food. It happened to be Easter Sunday so they had a special Easter menu with limited dishes to choose from. We got the roasted beet & orange salad with a side of home fries, and the loaded pancake tacos. The salad was super fresh and the flavors combined nicely. The home fries was more of a twice baked potato, and it had a nice crisp and bite to it. The pancake tacos were unique and tasty, we got some more of the cilantro syrup on the side. Finally, the arnold palmers we got to drink were refreshing after a hot day outside. Service was fantastic from the hostess to our server. We were talked into trying this place out by the owner as we were walking past to a different restaurant. It's a small start up and we like to support small businesses. It was morning and we wanted breakfast so my wife ordered the classic Benedict and I ordered the cowboy breakfast bowl. We also ordered hot tea to drink. The cowboy breakfast bowl was plentiful, filled with eggs, potatoes, and brisket. The brisket wasn't my favorite because it was a little tough and had a strange sauce that had a hint of sweetness. Not what I'd expect in a Southwestern themed dish. The Benedict wasn't very good either. It had a very thin slice of ham and the hollandaise sauce tasted like it was made from a packet. The poached eggs also had a hint of vinegar in the taste. I'm aware that poached eggs are often prepared in vinegar water but I've never tasted the vinegar in other poached eggs I've had. The final straw was the hot tea was served luke warm instead of hot. Bottom line, we wish we'd had gone to the other restaurant. read more

I considered and visited many places but , for me, its important to support businesses in our town, especially when they are new. I stopped by and spoke with Carla, the hostess, about our luncheon. No pressure to order while waiting for friend. Host and waiter / bar tender very friendly and fun. Believe there is a full bar and will have music in the evenings or may already. Very relaxed atmosphere and rightly called Cafe and not diner. Many good choices. I ordered Eggs Benedict which were absolutely delicious and side of home fries or fruit salad is included.
