Classic down-to-earth tavern vibes with simple tables and wood paneling. Public jukebox, so it's a win or a loss depending on who is putting money in and paying to skip songs--classic pub gamble there. Bartender was sweet, checked in on us regularly, without being overbearing. And despite the shenanigans of us pub-goers, I didn't notice one dang eye-roll. I know it couldn't be me! Bartender Christine is rude and unprofessional. Wednesday nights. Hardly smiles, is argumentative, not an enjoyable experience. Be glad when she leaves. Otherwise karaoke is a good time. Need a respectful, thankful, appreciative, welcoming bartender. Every time I visit I leave $5 tips per drink and not once have I received a thank you. I wont be back until she is gone. The bartender Stephanie is rude and harrasses people who don't agree with her LGBTQ+ politics. She went out of her way to harrass me in a conversation that had nothing to do with her. She inserted herself and quickly became hostile and vulgar, as my views are not aligned with hers. This place is great! If you want to feel a sense of community and have the best bartenders Christy and Diana then come down. Wednesday is karaoke night where everyone can come and have some laughs and sing there hearts out and the rest of the week you see a lot of the locals just having a good time. People from all different walks of life are in here. Ocean Mist Pub is dive bar. The bartenders are super nice, a lot of fun and the patrons come from across the board with the young, the old, the locals, the tourists, a few bikers types, some six pack Joe's, younger women out of a good time and older women out for a good time. The place allows smoking and can develop clouds of it. If there you'll probably see plenty of tattoos, but more importantly a lot of people having good time fun and all very friendly. For being near a beach and in a tourist community, the prices are really reasonable and the drinks they serve are really good but of course parking can be a pain and an expensive pain. There's nothing really special about Ocean Mist Pub, but for a smoke filled dive bar it's ok. Let me just put it this way, you could do worse. read more

This bar fits right in with the handful of other places I frequent. Cheap beer, pool tables and low key. A couple of buddies and I ventured here one Friday afternoon. The bar is located on the south side of Commercial Boulevard just west of A-1-A in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. Like any beach location, the parking is limited and cost money. It was around 5pm and there was a paid parking lot with plenty of spots open. We walked in a back door and were inside a dark little bar, lit only by the lights over the pool table, a few scattered lights and the sun shining in the front door on the other side. A few people were scattered around the bar and the one pool table was occupied by a couple. We walked over the bar, which is a decent size. It has seating all the way around and is the only bar they have. It could sit a decent amount of people but was close enough that one bartender could handle it. We all ordered our drink and I was surprised to see they didn't have Yuengling bottled beer. I got a draft instead. I bought a round for the guys and it did cost me $26 bucks for three beers and a patron on the rocks. Not that bad. The pool table was decent too. $2 a game is a little more expensive than my usual bar but it is what it is. We hung out for a good while and played a few games of pool. Everyone we met was friendly and the bartenders were great. They seemed to have a friendly rapport with the patrons which is what I am used to in a good dive bar. Everyone knows each other. This is definitely a local dive bar and a must-visit if you're into that type of thing. Did not take long to spot the regulars. Our favorite was the woman in her 60's, who looked like a retired librarian, pounding down the beers and shots while her Led Zep and Black Sabbath selections played on the jukebox. This is definitely a dive bar. All the reviews mention this fact. It's in a great location - a block from the beach near a busy intersection. The bar was full when I visited mid-afternoon, and it seems as though they have many regulars here. The server behind the bar was prompt but was a little bit surly. The beers were cold and there is a great selection here. No food, however. This is a full bar, so if you want something other than beer, you'll find it here. I didn't expect this to be a smoking bar, but smoking is definitely allowed. Most of the regulars here at the bar were taking advantage of that fact. read more

I've been coming to this pub for six months now. It's charming with a relaxing vibe. Not to crowded. Always a few locals as well as vacationers visiting the area. Great place to grab a drink, listen to music and easy walk to the beach, restaurants, shops and pier. There are a couple of parking spots just for patrons behind the bar. Love the decor and bar area. This place is fantastic. Brandon, the bartender, can juggle three glasses without even looking. He also can throw a coaster at you from thirty feet away and land it within inches of your hands.
