Tonight the winner was Streeters- located on Federal just north of 26th tucked in behind the breakfast place. While there is a big sign on the door that says "Smoking", I always forget how overwhelming the smell of smoke is in these places even when people aren't smoking. And it just signals to me that the place is just a bar and doesn't serve food. We grabbed a couple of seats at the bar. The place was not busy with most playing bar darts in the corner and a couple of others at the bar. There is also a pool table and a jukebox in the place. The drinks were well poured, the beer was cold and as I sat there I reflected on other dive bars I've been to over the years. If you drive- the metered parking lot was free on the night we were there. So if you're looking for a cold one, with people who welcome you in like a regular- check out Streeters. Just know you'll carry a little bit of Streeters home with you as you'll need to air out your hair and clothes when you get home! Ah- gotta love a good dive bar!

I've been here quite a few times, it's one of my closest local drinking establishments. Drinks are cheap, the people are loud, and they are there to do some drinking and smoking (or vaping weed lol). It's loud because of all the games on the one side, and is also livelier on weekends. The other side is more chill, has a lot of TVs and it's great for watching sporting events, especially Panthers hockey is big here (I got to watch 4 Nations hockey tourney which was on every TV, so that was a score). There are electronic darts on this side as well. People here are down to earth and I've met some cool people here over the years. I should get here more often, but I'm at the age where I don't park myself in smokey bars as much as my younger days. There's no food, only games and drinking. You can however, order delivery and eat it wherever inside- one bartender encouraged it. Friends and I have had pizzas delivered before. Bartenders are always pretty cool. Great local watering hole that you can smoke or vape in, which is rare. Drinks are cheap and people are chill. The bartender Ryan was entertaining to say the least with a vast knowledge of his tapped brews. He poured a cold Green City Hazy 6.8% which was a dirty hoppy to start the night. Across from the warm two toned laquered bar was a cooler that offered some good brands of craft beer. The eight foot grizzly bear guarding the front door was a nice touch that added to the already heavy nostalgic ambiance. Returned a few hours later with friends, and found the owner spinning retro records on the turntables brought in by customers. Limited food here but a food truck is parked next to the front door for eats with your brew and dogs are permitted and encouraged. On February 7th we will return for the 15th anniversary of the Laser Wolf.
