We absolutely love breakfast, so this was right up our alley. There isn't a ton of parking, but we found a spot without any trouble. We were seated right away, and that's when we met Darcy, our waitress! This lady was genuinely one of the nicest and sweetest servers we've had in a while, and she is wicked good at her job! I ordered two sunny-side up eggs, bacon, raisin toast, and chunky hash browns, and everything was cooked with that true "Mom love" you hope for when you go to a place called Mom's Kitchen. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. We also shared a couple of mimosas and really enjoyed relaxing on land for a bit before our long drive home. The bathroom was clean, and there was so much neat memorabilia around the restaurant. I honestly wish I had remembered to bring my phone with me because I would have loved to take pictures of all the little details! Overall, we highly recommend Mom's Kitchen if you're looking for friendly service, a welcoming atmosphere, and that comforting, homemade breakfast that tastes like it was made by a mom away from home. We had a really nice experience overall. The service was friendly, and while we were quoted a 15-20 minute wait, it ended up being about 30 minutes. It wasn't ideal, but the meal made up for it. The kids loved their meals, and the portions were generous for the price. The lemonades were excellent, and the cappuccino was also good. The breakfast sandwiches were tasty, especially because the eggs were cooked really well on every order. The huevos rancheros were another standout and were very enjoyable. The only slight disappointment was the homemade biscuit, which I expected to be more memorable. It was fine, just not anything special. The muffin was also okay but didn't really stand out. Overall, this was a much better breakfast option than the typical Denny's or IHOP. We were visiting from out of town, and I'd definitely come back. We were served by Darcy who was quick, answered all our questions, provided great suggestions and checked up on us often. We also had constant refills from other staff Food: large portions and tasty! I got one of the omelettes and my boyfriend ordered the country fried steak. His hashbrowns could have been crispier but the flavor on everything was great. Everything was delicious. We got the biscuits grilled which was the best choice. I even liked their homemade hot sauce. I didn't love the orange juice. It was fresh squeezed but a little more sour than I would have liked. I was hoping we would have room for dessert but we were stuffed and even took portions to go. Ambiance: diner style but updated and it's a pretty large space. Went here for the first time after a friend's strong recommendation. It's been a Fort Lauderdale-area staple for decades, but somehow I had missed coming here for breakfast! We were able to snag a parking spot in front. I am not sure if there's parking around the back, but I can imagine parking can be a little difficult at times. We were greeted warmly upon entering, and they sat us in the annex section. The room we were in can be reserved for a large parties. The decor was modern and there are several TV screens with information about the restaurant and menu. Our waitress was very attentive and told us about the menu. There are many solid breakfast staples available. I was in the mood for just eggs and pancakes, and they were both prepared well. The coffee is quite good, too. We decided to try Mom's for dinner since we enjoy their breakfast. Our meals were so-so. It's a diner and I don't expect five star cuisine. It was clear that they were understaffed with one waitress and the manager serving the whole place. I understood and accepted this, but as we were finishing our meal, a customer came in with a DOG in a stroller. Not only was she not asked to leave she was welcomed and they brought a water bowl for it! Dogs should not be allowed in their restaurant. It is unsanitary and a violation of the law. They have a loyal clientele base that opens the store with them every morning 15 minutes before opening. They have Bloody Marys and homemade sangria but my favorite was the strawberry mimo set with fresh juice. There are two sections to this restaurant, you can reserve one space for private functions or corporate events, there are bathrooms in each of the spots, and they have booths or tables. The bread was burnt and over buttered, the corned beef was very limited (would guess 1/4lb or less!), and so were the fries (less than a handful). Cole slaw was ok, mayo based but not too soggy. For $20 I can go to Smoke, FatBoyz, Goldbergs, or Top Hat and do a lot better. It was quite busy on a Sunday morning but they were seating tables quickly. They have a private room, with Bluetooth and tv's that can project our own content. The manager Andrew was very helpful and made sure we could host these breakfasts here, and with the amazing help of our waitress Julie they made it a success. My coffee cup kept getting filled and I was offered - and accepted - a to go cup . It was that good! Atmosphere is a very comfortable local vibe. In the 30 minutes I was there, 3 different people sat down at the counter at different points and ordered without bothering to look at the menu. In one case, the server dictated the order to the diner and he simply agreed!! Finally, the price was certainly reasonable, especially for this day and age. I was excited when my son and I were looking for a place to eat and we happened to drive by Mom's. We arrived at 10:30 am so it was kind of in between breakfast and lunch but they still had a steady flow of customers. We opted for breakfast, I had my go-to breakfast sandwich on a biscuit, $8.00 and he had the Country Special. His meal consisted of eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and hash browns, it was a great deal for $14. The prices were very reasonable and the serving sizes plentiful. Check-in on Yelp and receive a 10% off offer. Service was attentive, pleasant and efficient. My coffee never got halfway empty before any of the servers came around to top it off. There is an awesome display of bakery items to greet you as you enter. Mom's Kitchen has an old school vibe and it seems like a lot of the diners are regulars who frequently visit to enjoy a hearty meal. There were TVs and a lot of sports memorabilia on the walls. We sat inside but they also have a patio seating area and a few tables on the sidewalk. There is street parking in front of the restaurant. Mom's is convenient to Holy Cross Hospital.
