The food was ok, nothing worth mentioning. The service wasn't that great. Price was ridiculous! The show was great though. We were there to watch Julie Benko. Space was tight, I didn't like having to sit shoulder to shoulder with strangers for my meal. Will not return.

My steak as very over cooked and quite dry. But it was still tasty. The soup was ok. But the show was amazing.

Enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Cafe seeing Steve Tyrell. Not only is it a fabulous show, the food was delicious & mostly the service is top notch. If you have ever been, you know this is a very busy venue & clientele can be very demanding. The wait professionals are just that professional!! And extremely friendly making everyone feel special. Thank you to them for making our holiday getaway an especially enjoyable night.

Stephanie Block was the featured entertainer at Cafe Carlyle. Wow is she awesome and talented. She brought her husband Sebastian up for a song as a double treat. Her performance made up for the crowded condition of the room and mediocre food. If you get the chance to see her----go for it.

The High Tea was a rip off, don't waste your money. The scones were dry and the pastries inedible.

What is the dress code for women? Thank you

Hello, Thank you for reaching out. There is no specific dress code for women - we only ask that…

Is there any way to just buy ONE ticket/how do I see a show here, by myself? I really don't want to pay for 2 people if I'm only 1 😅

They usually sell tickets where you can sit at the bar. They sell those for 1 person

Des anyone know *for sure* if the "minimum per person" ($75 food and beverage minimum per person) can be applied strictly to drinks? Not interested in the food but definitely interested in the drinks, atmosphere and more particularly the performance.

Dear Sgt P., Yes, the $75 minimum can be applied strictly to beverages, so long as it is met.…

The show I saw had incredible performers and felt really happy to be attending. But this is where it fell apart. I have a great deal of empathy for waitstaff especially during this kind of cabaret show. I had gotten a last minute VIP ticket and ordered a drink - and was informed at the time I placed a drink that there was a $25 mimimumx which I knew about when I bought the ticket. The waitress who served us was unnecessarily rude sbout it: I went to order food but stopped at spending more because at that point, the fewer interactions with her the better. I don't know what to think - someone willing to spend more money and feeling reluctant to because of a rude waitress is a problem to the venue to fix.

Despite it being very small, and crammed, the service is excellent, efficient, and the atmosphere is incredible! If there was a place for maximalism, it is here. They have so much decor, all over. From vintage American, to Japanese, and French, etc. The trains that run above your head add more to the mess. But, somehow, it is comforting, despite all that is going on. The food is excellent, and although they are famous for their croquettes, which I was actually less keen on, their cod roe pasta/udon is absolutely stellar. Never have I had such a deep seafood flavor with the egg texture and cream. It is delicious. The katsu sando is also incredible, and generously portioned. I would say the cocktail program is not as good, the Zen matcha vodka was way too vodka strong and not enough matcha or balance. The earl gray infused cocktail was nice however. It is a lively dream to be in, to experience a night at Tomi Jazz.

The live band was great, the vibe was lively, and people were actually dancing instead of just sitting around pretending they're "listening." Food was good, service was easygoing, and the best part: zero pressure. They have a minimum spend, but they don't play games with it. Hit the minimum however you want, drinks or food, your choice. Other places love to force both, which is basically a tax on having fun. Not here. Why not 5 stars? The place is a bit dated. Our booth was literally held up with tape and the cushion situation was... let's call it "vintage springs." I heard they're planning a remodel, and if that happens, this becomes an easy 5. Until then, it's a very fun 4 and I'd absolutely come back.

Most of the clubs we saw were more for eating/drinking while listening to music but didn't offer the dancing component. If you want to just listen to the music while enjoying your food/drink then sitting at the bar is free. To sit in the back area where the band and dancing is, there is a $15 cover fee. We didn't order any food and my friend did order some drinks but I'm not much of a drinker so I can't comment on that. We enjoyed the music and watching the regulars dance. A couple regulars were very nice and brought us out onto the dance floor to show us some simple moves! Unfortunately this place is closing at the end of December. It's really sad that it is going away as the regulars' described it as one of the places in the city with a dance floor where you can actually dance to the live jazz/swing music. If you are in the area before they close and want to spend some time away from the busy city definitely stop by here!
