We arrived after graduation in Central Park without a reservation. Palm Court was closing, but the champagne bar was open mid day. It was raining. An elegant escape from the drizzle. My son is always hungry. He had the oysters. The rest of us just shared a bottle of Veuve. At first the service was slow. It picked up.

Awesome spot for breakfast or glass of champaign. The Plaza is a hit and must visit while in town. Service was great, breakfast colorful and ambience comforting. Can be pricy but worth it ! Cheers!

Came here for champagne and lamb chops appetizer before heading to quality meats. Love the ambiance and the food. They give best tasting nuts with drinks. Be aware that they already add a 20% tip even for just two people dining. Trust.

Supposedly with rhubarb and vanilla-infused Tito's vodka

I stopped in for a cocktail at The Plaza to see how the 1% live. I sat at the bar and watched the bartender work. I ordered the Strawberry Rhubarb Tart, which is supposed to have "rhubarb and vanilla-infused Tito's vodka", but I believe they were out of that, so I watched him add some regular vodka. Anyway, the drink was strong but not terribly flavorful. Adding in taxes and required 18% gratuity, the drink came to $41. I wouldn't return.

This establishment is located in The Plaza Hotel. They offer meals, cocktails, and tea most of the day. The service is friendly and professional. Enjoying a meal or beverage here, you bask in the ambiance of The Plaza and enjoy its beautiful flowers. The prices are what you would expect from a restaurant in The Plaza.

I love coming by for a drink during the holiday season because The Plaza always looks amazing. However, if you're a non-guest, the experience can be...frustrating. This is the second year in a row where I've had issues. The four of us arrived just before 5pm, and there were several open tables. In spite of this, we had to wait 35 minutes to be seated at...you guessed it, one of those open tables. It took forever to get someone to come over, and I went 0/2 on availability of glasses of champagne, leaving me with fewer reasonable options than I would have hoped. We asked for the bill when we ordered the drinks, and even then, it didn't come for a while. Prices aside, I left annoyed. So, if The Champagne Bar is a must-visit, be aware. If not, there's plenty of other cocktail bars nearby that'll have better service.

We stayed in the Plaza and we wanted to grab some small bites and drinks here before dinner. The hostess was quite rude. She gave us very few seating options. When we were finally seated, it took 10 min just to place our drink orders. We tried to wave at someone to place our order and were ignored. Our server Nick was not friendly at all. He was short with us and made the experience unpleasant. We were not excited by this bar. The music and ambience is nice, but service is sub par at best. Kind of disappointing, as the Plaza's service is so exceptional!

My mom and I recently went to the Champagne Bar inside the Plaza Hotel to enjoy some champagne and the beautiful Christmas decorations during the holiday season. We split the silver champagne tasting flight. The champagne was delicious and we were given olives and nuts as a complimentary bar snack to enjoy while we tasted the champagne. We were both surprised at how large the pours were, full glasses of each rather than tasting portions of each. The servers were kind, but service was slow (we definitely weren't rushed out of there which was nice but we had to flag someone down to get our bill). It was such a treat to experience this with my mom at Christmastime at such an iconic location. I'll cherish this evening for a long time!

I am in New York for business and I decided to stop by to one of my favorite spots to have a quick drink. The champagne bar is wonderful. A bar from a bygone era which represented class and sophistication. My bartender was very nice and attentive. It's a great place to meet for drinks before a dinner out in the city. I would recommend you dress nicely. Business casual. No shorts, baseball caps, and tank tops. It's a classy bar. The champagne bar has an extensive drink menu. Be prepared to spend some money yet it's worth it. Will be back.

As a guest of the hotel, we wanted to try the Champagne Bar located in the lobby of The Plaza Hotel. The setting at Christmas time is magical! Holiday music playing in the background and beautifully decorated Christmas trees everywhere. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. We shared French onion soup and the turkey club sandwich. The staff was accommodating with us sharing a meal. Definitely a delightful experience.

Monday Afternoon tea at the Palm Court in the Plaza Hotel

Fabulous Monday afternoon tea after a loooong early morning flight from Texas. Understandably, my room wasn't ready at 12 Noon, so I indulged in a champagne and afternoon tea service. The service and cuisine are 5 star. The last afternoon tea I enjoyed was pre-pandemic at Raffles Hotel in Singapore. So my expectations were high and this exceeded all thoughts! If you are gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian or have specific allergies, the chef accommodates- I have an egg sensitivity so the treats were egg-free and scrumptious! I will return soon! Highly recommend both afternoon tea menus - the seasonal and traditional. 5 stars

They offer up regular menu items as part of Restaurant Week, and the value is easily $60+ when you're paying $45 only. I like the food so much, I'd be interested in coming back again for full price as well as attempt the Modern. You get sourdough to start. I like the chewy texture. The crust wasn't too hard but I opted out due to teeth sensitivity. For the first course we got the summer squash and steak tartare. Summer squash didn't taste as refreshing as it sounds. Every bite is a little different and very busy in the mouth. I wouldn't say it's overwhelming though. The smoked trout and salmon roe made this dish more savory than I'd like. There's some Zaatar crumbles that stood out as a more unique flavor and texture. Steak tartare seems basic but I appreciated their seasoning and quality of the meat being so clean. I really like the sauce on top which was garlic forward, adding so much umami and brightness to this dish. The side of potatoes was also surprising for being so thick and super well fried with a beautiful crunchy crust on both sides. It was steaming hot when I first ate it and still hot (warmer than warm) by the time I finished the tartare. For the second course we got the sea bass and duck leg. The sea bass had a nice crust. I personally didn't like the beans in there. Clam broth in the description made us expect the dish to be a soupy dish, but it really only came out to be a thinner sauce situation. It was indeed quite savory. The duck leg was amazing. Even though it came with bone and all, I was able to get every last piece of meat off the bone with just fork and knife. That's how tender the meat was. I might argue it's the most tender duck I've ever had in my life. I also love the sauce/marinade/glaze over it because it perfectly wrapped around the whole leg without being too strong or heavy. The flavor reminds me a bit of earthy sweet soy sauce which totally gets brownie points from me. Inside was very flavorful while also maintaining the freshness and tenderness of the flesh. I don't care if they "just" sous-vide this, but I loved it. We actually got one two-course and one three-course option, because I was too full from breakfast to get another dessert. They were nice to allow the mix-n-match. The server gave us plates to share the dessert even though I didn't plan on eating more than a bite. We got the corn gelato which comes with peaches and brown butter hoping it would be a lighter dessert. Turns out it was quite sweet and intense. There was cake at the bottom too which added to the heaviness. The corn gelato was gentle at least. I got the melon lemonade. It's not too sweet and doesn't taste like lemon actually. It has honeydew, jasmine, and pandan. I will admit that I don't necessarily identify each element in it. I did like the subtle freshness to it, and I appreciate it not being sweet. I told my friend how I would love my room to smell like that.

My server Callie was great, very warm and pleasant. I wanted to ask her if she was a Game of Thrones fan and had ever heard Emilia Clarke do her "Callie from the Valley" American accent but I thought the better of it. I had the steak tartare to start, a new boudin blanc dish that they recently put on the main menu as my entree, and the blueberry cobbler sundae as dessert. All dishes were delicious. The crispy potatoes that came with the steak tartare were perfectly fried. The boudin blanc sausage was really tasty. I wish I had taken a picture of it. It came with polenta, shishito peppers, and a runny red sauce. The dessert was all right, though I expected more sweet blueberry sauce than it actually had. I like how they have floor to ceiling windows looking out into some sort of courtyard. The restrooms are gender neutral stalls with a brightly lit common area where the sinks are. The soap was a little runny and it was basic commercial liquid soap, not anything fancy. The seats are a little tight, but they look very nice and normal sized people should have no problem.

We had come to celebrate a friend's birthday and wanted to order the lava cake. Service was extremely infrequent since one person served the whole rooftop bar. By the time we asked to place the order, she said your seating time is almost up and the cake takes 15 minutes to warm up and was unwilling to serve us. I think they should come by and make sure orders are fulfilled if tables need to he turned over so quickly. She took about 30 minutes to close out the tab so we easily could have gotten the cake.
