We had to ask for dishes that were never brought out. One guest never got their dessert. We had to flag the server down many times. No one took any leftover food home because it was so awful! We doubled checked our bill the next day and saw a charge for 13 espresso martinis that we didn't order. It was a large party and this went unnoticed at the time of payment. The next day we looked it over and found the $156 mistake!

The craft cocktails are well made and thoughtful, and if you prefer beer, there are solid options there too. As a bourbon lover, I especially enjoyed their private barrel pick served neat, a real treat and easily a standout pour. This is a perfect pre-dinner or post-evening stop, we have done both, and it works beautifully either way. Dress is slightly casual but leans upscale, and while pricing is a bit higher than average, it feels completely worth it for the setting, quality, and experience. We sank into the chairs, talked story with friends, and lost track of time, which really says it all. If you are anywhere near Skytop Lodge, make sure this is on your list. Eventually, the manager returned with our IDs, simply said "thank you," and walked away--without any explanation for the delay and still no drinks. At that point, it was obvious we weren't being treated as valued customers, so we decided to just take the drinks, pay, and leave. When the drinks finally arrived, there was a hair on the rim of one of the glasses. We ended up paying $25 for a Guinness and an espresso martini and left without even wanting to stay. I've had better service at busy NYC dive bars than I experienced here. I would avoid this place altogether.
