I really enjoyed this place during my trip to Hazelton this past weekend. The atmosphere is kind of rusticky and old school which was really cool. The service was nice and friendly as well. For appetizers my group had fried green beans and mozzarella sticks. They were both cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The wasabi ranch went great with the fried green beans too. For meals we all got different types of wings, which is kind of what they are known for. You can get their wings breaded or regular. Also, you have to ask them to toss them in the flavor you want, otherwise it comes on the side which is not how I like mine. The flavors we all had were the buffalo ranch and Cajun dry rub. The wings themselves were cooked just how I like them, crispy but not overdone. The Cajun dry rub was ok, but I'm not a big fan of dry rubs usually. My wife thought they were very good though. The buffalo ranch wings had a great flavor and were my favorite food of the night. I wish they had better ranch to go with the wings, but that is my only complaint about this place. I now live out of the area, but every time we come back to visit family we are sure to stop by for wings, beer and a great time! We stopped in last night and had Donya as our server. There was five of us and I was very impressed she didn't write down any of our order, which by the way wasn't super easy. I thought for sure our order was going to be wrong, but no way! It was all perfect. I had a few special requests to make the salad vegan friendly and to assure everything was okay (no dairy, eggs) in anything. She was great at finding out any answers she didn't know off hand. My salad was a great big size and was filled with veggies and it was really filling and delicious! I wasn't super crazy about the balsamic, it seemed a little on the watery side. Two people at the table had wings and they were served crispy like always and nice and hot! We had a couple order of fries for the table and they were also served hot and well seasoned. My mom had the chicken soup, which she loved! They had a band playing which is awesome, but they were entirely too loud, we couldn't even hold a conversation. Which would be fine for some people, but not what we were really looking for. We were looking for a place to stop after the Fall Foliage Festival at Jim Thorpe. We saw this listed here on Yelp and were excited to try it. We opted for the "famous" wings, along with the most delicious burger. My friend got the "fire" wings and I got mild. They were cooked to absolute perfection... crispy on the outside and dripping with juice on the inside. My burger was amazing..probably the best I've ever had. Good food at a reasonable price. I wish I can give it 3.5 stars. It was a pretty good surprise to find a decent place without any looking. I went here for dinner on Sunday 19-July on a last minute get together. Its a corner bar at a fairy busy intersection in Hazleton so getting there is pretty easy and recognizable. The interior reminded me of the old bars I used to go to when I grew up in Wilkes-Barre PA, but it was very clean and modern. Its almost like the faux-vintage style of Abercrombie. A classic but inviting atmosphere. There is also a full length shuffle board in the backroom. I havent seen one of those in ages because no one has the room and they're expensive! The beer menu was decent for an out of the way place. They had about 30 bottles and 10 drafts of above average beers, but nothing rare or unique such as Avery-The Beast! The food was surprisingly good. The wings were enormous and incredibly crunchy. When I bit into them, it was almost like a sound effect from a movie. The sauce was ok but it was on the side (aka, the wings were dry). The coating was delicious though and I ate them regardless. The club quesadilla had pulled pork and steak in it that had just the right amount of seasoning. It wasn't very greasy either. The chicken ceasar salad was good but its hard to ruin something so simple. Overall, I had a good experience here. In the city of Hazleton, you will find a lack of many things. Industry, thriving downtown, latinos (check out Lou Barletta on the internet for why) But one thing you can count on when visiting cities that have lost their luster is bars. Bottlenecks is a good spot, just off the main drag (Broad St), where everyone there is a regular, except for the consultants from out of town who are just looking for some suds. Nonetheless, I didn't hear a needle skip when I walked in, so it was fine by me. The place was mostly unremarkable, asides from the quesadilla that Frank mentioned. Steak and pulled pork in one cheese filled crispy shell really is a delightful thing. While I'm not sure when I'll be back here, I can encourage you to eat and drink here when in town. read more

Establishment is right on the corner of two streets - so parking shouldn't be an issue. If you go after the bank closes - you can also use the nearby banking parking lot as well. This is your typical bar/resturant place - nothing much different. You have a large bar, a larger area for table seating, a few TV's here and there, typical bar type decor, and I believe a pool table, dart board and perhaps a shuffle board too! There is a decent selection of draft and bottled beer - obviously a full bar and their menu has enough variety that anyone should find something they'd like - but it is typical bar food! However, today was wing night and though they don't toss the wings in the sauce - they provide plenty for dipping. This isn't typically the way I like my wings, but at least they were chicken wings and not some pigeon wings I've had at many other place. They were crispy on the outside and plenty juicy on the inside. I also enjoyed the french onion soup - glad you can still get this great soup out because making it at home stinks up the whole house - and this soup was pretty darn good! The overall cleanliness, including bathrooms was good. Not excellent, but again - this is a bar and was pretty clean for a bar - only one noticeably sticky spot on the floor. Though there was someone in the bar with a small child - this wouldn't be a place I'd bring kids - it's a place for you to go, kick back and relax while chatting with friends, grabbing a cold one - or like me - chowing down some wings - not a place for a baby or child - let's reserve the place for perhaps teens and up or better yet - 21 and over! read more

If you want to start your weekend on a great note (pun intended), this is the place to be! The 2nd reason is their wings. Some of the best in the area. The wings are meaty and perfectly fried. The sauce comes on the side, which I prefer. Many great sauce options to choose from. Also, they have $5 happy hour specials. They have really good burgers and I like the cheese steak wrap. Prices are reasonable and the portions are fair. Drink prices are in line with other bars in the area. So if you're stopping in for a bite to eat, you can't go wrong with the wings. Disappointed. Most of the menu is fried foods. A Friday during Lent and they had no dinner specials. I opted for the mushroom onion garlic strip streak (without the onion). Steak was about 25% fat and gristle, overcooked (ordered medium rare, but was more like medium well), under seasoned (no garlic flavor whatsoever) and had some unseasoned, not sauteed canned mushrooms dumped on top. The steamed broccoli seemed like it came from the freezer and had no flavor. The shoestring fries were ok and salad was ok. Beer list was pretty boring. I've been here for many Friday Happy Hours. The bar is clean with a very nice wood finish throughout. Staff is super friendly, drinks and food are served as quickly as possible. We came here on a recommendation that turned to b 2 years old and definitely not accurate anymore! 1 bite of the crab stuffed steak turned my stomach. The appetizer, cowboy fries was half decent but wouldn't brag on it as the pulled pork on it was dry and flavorless which pretty much left us with a $9 plate of fries. The shrimp topped steak that was ordered was too tough to chew and the shrimp was dirty tasting. The onion rings were the exact same as what u get at any grocery stores frozen foods section ( can u say Aldi's version of ore-Ida. The green bean fries nasty, the garlic mashed tasted like dirty water instant. I went in here on "steak night" and it was a disappointment to say the least. I ordered the garlic mushroom New York strip with broccoli and green beans. The green beans where deep fried which there was no mention of that on menu. The steak came out medium well if not well done. I ordered it rare as they would cook it as I typically eat a steak blue. Once I cut it open and saw the state of the thing in an almost beef jerky status, I asked the bartender to send it back for another. In about 2 min the cook came out in a very argumentative tone and wanted to argue the fact that he cooks a steak to 110f and I need to google steak temperature to know what I'm talking about. The steak was at least an inch thick so there shouldn't have been an issue getting it on point. I was kind of blown away by his hostile attitude and almost had to laugh at the situation. I have eaten at many high end steak restaurants and understand this is not one and wasn't expecting it to be on that level, A little red in the middle with some blood would be nice please. My girlfriend and I were just there to dine in at approximately 7:30pm on 07/25/20 and had a horrendous experience with receiving terrible beverages and then being disrespected by our waitress from behind the bar. We have never had a terrible experience there before and I am not one to write reviews unless I feel it's absolutely necessary. My girlfriend ordered a Long Island iced tea and I ordered a bottle of Michelob Ultra. Upon receiving our beverages my girlfriends Long Island iced tea tasted like beer mixed with iced tea and my Michelob Ultra was room temperature. I then patiently waited for our waitress who did not introduce herself to us and was running around like a Tasmanian devil to with practically an empty bar to return to our table to inform her about our beverages. Once she came back to our table I politely informed her my beer was room temperature and she looked at me like I was an alien and instead of apologizing she asked "well can I get you something else?" I then decided I would try a Coors Light. Before I could proceed to tell her about my girlfriends beverage she ran back to the bar to get me a Coors Light. Once she came back with that I then politely informed her that my girlfriends Long Island iced tea tasted like beer. The waitress then decided to have a debate about how she personally made it and there was no way it tasted like beer. She then asked my girlfriend if she wanted to try something else in which my girlfriend just wanted an iced tea. She then stormed back to the bar to get it and began trash talking us to her colleagues behind the bar stating that "we were being so disrespectful and she should not be waiting on people because she's not a fucking people person." My girlfriend and I just looked at each other and decided to leave since we were being so terribly disrespected. As we were getting up to leave she then stormed back to the table with a bottle of iced tea and a large glass of ice and said "here a bottle of iced tea." I then told her we were just going to leave and I told her we would not be returning as she replied "Good." As being a server myself for 4 years that's not how you treat customers at all and this waitress/bar tender is only going to hurt this business. My girlfriend and I have decided that we would not be returning due to this horrible experience. read more

Fantastic place! I remember this place prior to what it is now. Wow! There is not one NAD thing I can say about the place. Food is amazing, prices great service fantastic!! Ambiance was great! A friend and I stopped in for dinner. The wait was maybe three minutes. The place was crowded, service was right on. Now my friend ordered a steak dinner and he eats like a horse and I have to mention this bc the portions were so great he barely was able to finish. This never happens when we eat out. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I did some appetizers. The prices were great. All the food came out hot I had a salad for dinner and I can be very picky on what I want on my salad.
