    Ham and cheese breakfast bagel

Right on the center of Dedham Square and conveniently opening everyday at 5:30A, this local bagel shop is serving the best and freshest bagels in town, and by fresh I mean literally baked fresh, daily. On this early saturday morning my husband and I arrived at 8A and thankfully only had to wait in a 10min (meaning: we got lucky) we ordered the bacon and egg plain cheese bagel and the ham and egg and cheese plain bagel. We gave them both a (5/5) . We also tried the iced coffee and the regular hot coffee but as Miamians and Hispanics we're giving that a (-0) I'M SORRY!! It was the worse coffee I've ever had. I really hope Bostonians have better coffee- that was horrible. The service was honestly fast and friendly for how full it was and we loved the mom and pop ambiance. If we're ever back in Boston, we'll be back.

Staff of nice enough, but the bagels are of the lowest quality. I understand Mass doesn't have good bagels in general, but they are pricing these at handmade prices and they are just not worth the money nor are they good. The crumb texture of the bagels itself is just sad, I don't know what's off about their dough making/boiling/baking process but it's clearly something. Tighter crumb than Dunkin. There is not enough (if any) egg wash used on top of the bagels, because none of their toppings stick. Perhaps they just sprinkles a few seeds on top instead of dipping in seed. No bagel with topping has anywhere near enough flavor. Why would I ask for a garlic bagel with just five tiny garlic pieces on top? The bagels itself are lacking flavor. Maybe not enough time for the yeast to grow or not enough salt in the dough. The texture isn't chewy the way bagels should be, making me doubt their boiling process. The most egregious issue to me personally is that their everything sees mix is poppy, sesame, and oats. When I asked about this a staff member said they don't use garlic, onion, or salt because "they're so flavorful" yeah that is the freaking point..... I am a huge hater of oats on bagels in general but to see it in everything seed mix for no reason at all was just horrible. Go to Exodus if you want a good bagel.

Decent bagels for a good price. Tasted like a bagel that I could get from Shaws. I did like the lox spread a lot though! It came with big pieces of salmon in it which is hard to find at other bagel shops!

Delicious egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel. Used real eggs that were not microwaved. Bagels were tasty as well. Highly recommend.

I got half a dozen bagels to go. There was a good selection at lunch time, and fast friendly service. I'll definitely come again.

Took two bites and threw away the onion bagel. Bread with a hole in it. Avoid if you're from the midatlantic.

Or the Exodus old window locations closed and the airstream camper location in alley is the new temporary place to order from. But I was tipped off by a bagel buying enthusiast when I was looking in the closed window location puzzled why I didn't see any people or bagels . The nice enthusiast told me that the pick up location is around the corner in a different new alley ... confused still but as Columbo the detective would do... I saw people walking from many directions to the new alley at 8:10 am. I followed the crowd to where others were already in the alley for the ordering process at the airstream trailer ... I was reminded of cousin Eddie in the Christmas movie with Chevy Chase and his camper trailer . The guy in the trailer looked like a horse bookie taking bets with his note pad and credit card machine... he may have been one of the owners after I researched later on website . I ordered a garlic Asiago bagel with butter and a salt bagel with veggie cream cheese. Then I was instructed to stand in alley and wait for my order . The bagel worker bees I then saw them come out of another building door with the bags of bagels and hand out to the experienced bagel buyers who intelligently order ahead . But the wait was quick and the worker bees scurry in and out of the door with the bags. There no tables or an area to eat in the alley . There was No inside coffee selections or Starbucks couches to lounge on eating your bagel sipping the latte to Italian music? I understand this is temporary as old space being renovated? I had my bagels both toasted and were perfect shade of toast . These were excellent different type bagels and not a brick dough filled type that becomes rock hard . The texture of bagel was more of a crunch chew in a good way. The garlic Asiago was a real deal flavor and thus would be excellent for a BLT or tuna or chicken salad for a sandwich , this would be winner chicken sandwich dinner . The salt bagel had a strong salt flavor again in a good way with the veggie cream cheese. The veggie cream cheese needed more veggies in it, but it did the trick to tame my bagel itch. Excellent bagels and the treasure hunt experience to find them was worth it. Clearly by the line of people and congregation of people from differ directions...they have a devoted following... reminded me of a Facebook announcement of a new iPhone release and people sleeping overnight to be first in line . Now, what is their secret of how or what they do to get the crunch texture but remain airy and not doughy? In summary: a great bagel and I need more .

Wasn't too busy when we got three so we placed an order at the counter. They make their own bagels at the restaurant. I got egg, cheese, and sausage bagel sandwich with asiago bagel and mocha iced coffee. Iced coffee was ok. Wasn't mixed well so make sure to mix it before trying. The bagel sandwich was pretty good. They use spicy Italian sausage which is delicious. Lots of eggs and a slice of cheese with nice and chewy homemade bagel. Only thing is that I wish they added more of the sausage. Maybe I can try to request it next time. Service was relatively good and quick. Good quick break fast spot. Might take a bit to figure out combination of order that I like personally. Would come back again and try out different combination/get extra sausage if i'm in the area.

We ordered online and walked in to find the place a bit "busy" with a couple of people waiting for their food. No problem there at all. I'm not someone who adds pressure when a team is in the weeds, I'm happy to wait. The issue was that I wasn't sure where to go for an online pickup, so I stood in line briefly, noticed the staff seemed occupied, and sat down at a table to wait for a natural moment to ask. At no point from the moment we walked through the door or stood in front of a cash register, were we greeted or acknowledged, which... busy or not, is pretty standard practice if a new person walks in. When we finally did ask someone about our order, we were essentially scolded in front of the entire restaurant for not speaking up sooner. We weren't frustrated about the wait. We were genuinely just asking how the online order process worked. The customer sitting at a table behind us even turned around to acknowledge how hostile the interaction felt. One great barista and one rough interaction, just sharing so the experience doesn't get repeated. I think next time I'll take the drive to the Dedham location or the well worth wait at Spot (always a good service experience there... despite how busy they always are).
