The steamed pastrami on a braided sesame roll with provolone, mustard, and pastrami juice makes a nice hot sandwich . The key is to ask them to add juice to roll then add the mustard and provolone then more juice then the meat and more juice to soften roll, melt cheese . Should have ask to add some chopped pickles or Muenster cheese to add flavor. I may ask for my sandwich of the week to melt provolone, Muenster and toast roll before making sandwich .... This is one of your smaller grocery stores but it is very nice with a full service deli, a salad bar, a hot food bar, various groceries, produce and they also have some baked goods for sale. You can order a deli sandwich to your liking and you can build your own salad at their bountiful salad bar. The salad bar is really nice and is more often than not my main reason for visiting the store. Here you can create your own unique salad with a good variety of salad makings including your basic lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers plus potato salads, fruits and a great variety of other salad toppings, vegetables and dressings. They have a good hot food bar too with various meat dishes, chicken and so forth plus pasta dishes, potatoes, vegetables and more. You'll also find some nice treats in their bakery area such as muffins and cookies. Their deli carries Boar's Head deli meats which is a very good meat company and their cheeses are excellent as well. If you're looking to buy groceries here they do carry quite a few of the essentials. They have a good sized produce area here as well for your fruits and veggies. It is a busy store but the cashiers keep the lines going at a pretty good clip. The atmosphere is nice and it's always a clean store which makes for a pleasant shopping experience. I live for small markets like this one!! It has lots of ready to-go items, including the famous salad bar and everything you need without being overwhelming like a traditional grocery store. My husband and I stopped in to grab some Italian subs. While there, I also grabbed some fresh HUGE tomatoes as they were on sale. The sub was fresh, delicious and over-stuffed with ingredients! It was late for lunch, but I felt I should eat something before I headed home. Dedham Legacy Mall was crazy, so changed plans and headed to Lambert's in Westwood, figuring that they had to have a few options for veggies in their hot food buffet. I found roasted brussels sprouts, yellow and green squash, asparagus, potatoes, sweet potatoes, roasted carrots, tossed in a small portion of chicken broccoli alfredo ziti, a chicken wing, and a little bit of the pork and pineapple, and a small piece of the bbq rib meat. The veggies were satisfactory. The pasta better than a recent take out lunch experience in the city. The wing a bit dry. The pork and pineapple tasty. The bbq not quite to taste. Having options was great though, and it was a reasonable $9.99/lb, so I got out at just under $10 for a light lunch. read more

My girlfriend and I stopped by here on July 4th for their viral Erewhon dupe smoothies. The service here was impeccable, the baristas were super nice and gave us basically 2 full smoothie cups for the price of one when we voiced that we wanted to share. We got the strawberry glaze smoothie to try, and they also let us sample the viral "coconut cloud" smoothie for free. While the smoothie was objectively tasty, it wasn't my favorite because it was warm and smoothies just taste better when they are cold. My girlfriend really enjoyed hers though, and drank the whole thing. The coconut cloud smoothie sample was decent, it was unlike anything I've ever had before. Okay so last week, I drove to Danvers to get a north shore beef but the store had a sign on their door saying "no beef's today." Hmmm ... I needed to grab some sandwiches for lunch. Then I remembered the Queen of the North had posted a video of a chicken Caesar wrap where her review said "it's solid, I'll be back." So I decided to drive down to Lamberts in Westwood to grab a couple of wraps. I ordered one grilled and two with the cutlets. Chicken was white, tender. Wrap wasn't overly dressed. Apparently I was more special than Ann Michael Maye, as they cut my wraps instead of giving it to me like a burrito. The staff were friendly, attentive and service was fast. Great little market. Good selection of products besides their sandwich counter. The Queen was right, these were solid wraps. Only complaint was the "beef tallow MAHA nonsense." Let's lose that. read more

We love Lambert's market every single time we go every other week after the Patriots game. Like..10/10*** But today was the first time we ordered soup to go while we waited for the burrito station to finish our awesome order. We got home to our *16oz* beef barley soup to heat up in my Yeti thermos to be slim pickings with an extra cardboard cup. My sub order is never right. They add/forget ingredients. Lettuce is gross stems, tomatoes are cubed, which makes no sense for a sub and the bread is often stale. Salad bar is good and same with shelf items. But I am in no rush to return to this location. read more

Lamberts market is a very impressive grocery store. They have a huge salad bar with tons of toppings as well as a hot food section which looks great too. I got a deli sandwich which was good. The people here are so amazing. Super friendly and super helpful. They have buffets that charge based on the weight of the food you grab. So many flavorful options to grab. I tried several items. While the flavors are great, the meat sometimes gets a little chewy. That's just the trade-off from having the food sit out buffet-style and keeping it warm. It is worth it for the convenience and price, though. I will grab food here again for sure. read more

Lamberts in Dorchester would be a much better place if they had a NO CELL PHONE policy. I have never seen a store that allows cashiers to be on their cell phones while ignoring customers. Maybe you need to take your staff on a field trip to uuummm Trader Joe's, Wegmans or Costco not a cell phone to be seen, the workers say hello, did you find everything you needed?
