Everything bagel with egg and a hash brown

I decided to come here on a whim. I usually go to Spot in Norwood but didn't feel like waiting in line for 45 minutes. The place was empty and looked a little deserted. The bagels did not look fresh and seemed like they had been a couple days old (I went around 7:15 am). The lady at the counter was nice and had my sandwich ready within 10 minutes. The sandwich itself was pretty good and the egg tasted fresh. The hash brown wasn't the crispiest. All in all, I will return. I wouldn't recommend enthusiastically as there are better bagel shops nearby.

The Good: There was a man working in the shop, dripped out. He was steaming the floors, jamming out, communicating with customers and playing family feud with Steve Harvey. But most importantly enjoying life, doing his job. THAT IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT.... unfortunately this is where the good ends. (4 stars) I wish I talked to him more, he seemed wise and lives his life the right way. The Bad: My friend got an iced coffee, but it was more like an iced water, I tried it. He drank three sips I had one. The bacon wasn't bad, just a little soggy. I took a picture because it looked funny in the picture. And the UGLY: Greek Omelette LOADED with feta. Not a problem I am a sloot for feta cheese. The issue lies in the customer service. They overcharged me for an omelette, by the time I noticed The food was already made and I didn't have a receipt as proof. What makes a Greek Omelette $9? THE MENU SAID $6.40. Is the cheese processed out back? Is someone milking a goat, churning it and aging the feta just right for me to enjoy? If so, pardon me, I have no issue paying for the labor. Before you jump to defend the cafe, I did not get a bagel with it, that is not where the mystery expense came from. Maybe the extra tax is from me inconveniencing the workers (not the man aforementioned) by coming 20 minutes before close. The workers were not excited about that. But I am also a firm believer in helping out the local business' during a panarama. This is why I give three stars instead of two. P.S my friend said the eggs slipped out of bagel.

Good! I do think the bagel could be more fresh though, being this bagel is kind of flat compared to other bagel shops I've been. It is good though, maybe I just picked a less popular one. The iced coffee is actually pretty good for a bagel shop!

Got great service here, unfortunately the food wasn't as good. Food was pretty average compared to other similar places. Wouldn't avoid - but not running back.

Tried to call in an order for pickup. Was on hold for 25min before I just drove over. Only 3 other customers inside so I'm not sure why I was on hold for so long. It took almost 10min before I got to order. Staff was pretty rude. Then I waited another 15-20 for my order to be ready. I remained on hold the entire time just to see if they'd ever answer. I got my food and left after being on hold on my phone for 55min with no answer. The only reason I didn't give only 1 star is because the food was decent but defiantly not worth the wait. Probably won't go back. Included a couple fun photos!

My dad always gets bagels from the Dedham location but this was my first time going to the Norwood location. Place is nice! I got there around 8:10 am on a Friday morning and it wasn't too busy. I probably waited like 5-7 mins MAX for my order. I ordered a western omelette w/ American cheese on a plain bagel. I got to work and took one bite and omg so good! Might make this a Friday morning ritual! Staff was nice and fast.

    Hairy bagel, anyone?

The staff are nice and welcoming. That's the only good thing I can say about this particular location. The others, in Dedham and Needham are great but this location... Not so much. I gave this Cafe Fresh Bagel 3 tries. Yes 3. First time, there was something hard in the home fries. Like crunchy, tooth chipping hard. It looked like a pebble. Don't actually know what it was, but it wasn't supposed to be in the home fries. Could've been a fluke. I didn't let that be the determining factor in not going back. It was unpleasant, but it could've been worse. Second time, there was a long hair in my egg. Imagine taking a bite of a sandwich packed with egg and bacon only to get a nice hair cooked into the mix. Gross. I understand, sometimes these things happen. They don't need to if you wear proper hair coverings. Even a hat would be sufficient, especially if you're actively making and cooking the food. I was so grossed out I said I'd never go back. Well, third time... My husband decided to bring home some breakfast today. Where did he go? Cafe Fresh Bagel. Guess he didn't get the memo. I opened up the sandwich box and BAM, there's a hair BAKED into the bagel. Baked. Into. The. Bagel. I'm officially done with this location. Yuck!!!

Everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. Would be good if the bagel wasn't day old!

It's colorful, it's groovy, it's bright, it's nostalgic. Even the employees are wearing shirts with funky themes and patterns. There are TVs showing shows from back then. The floors are checkered, the ceiling is silver, the chairs are red and the tables are blue. We were seated at a booth, which can more than comfortably sit 4-6 people. The menu is HUGE, think cheesecake factory but for a diner. There's a little bit of everything but the font and everything around it makes it hard to focus on what each item is. I went very simple and chose the Simon and Garfunkel which included two pancakes or French toast, two eggs, two bacon, two sausage, toast, and home fries for $18.99. After about 15 minutes, our food came out. The bacon could have been crispier, with some parts being wobbly. The sausage was thick, juicy, and savory. The potatoes were a little bland and mushy on the outside. The eggs were cooked medium, just how I requested them, and the englush muffin was a little different than your traditional ones since it didn't have the little pockets of air but it was still good. The French toast was moist, but I wish it had more cinnamon - the egg was the dominant flavor. Overall, it was a very satisfying breakfast. There is plenty of parking as it's in a plaza

Well I've eaten at a lot of Greek restaurants here and in Greece and this is one of the best places I've ever been to, to have a good sit down Greek meal. Where I live there are great restaurants for any type of cuisine you can imagine and a great Greek restaurant but the one near me is more like the best fast food in Greece. (A gyro wrap is the most traditional Greek fast food you can get). If people every ask me where to go to try other great Greek dishes, I will tell them to go there, 10 minutes from where I live and and on the eat home come by and drop off their left overs. They accommodated us for a table of 7 and although it can be a bit loud, you can still talk to anyone in your party. But i would recommend getting a reservation so you don't have to rely on luck like we did. The prices might be a little higher than some of your typical sit down restaurants, but worth every penny.
