We were in the area shopping (about 45 minutes from home) and decided to stop into the Muffin House for breakfast. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We waited in line for about 15 minutes just to order, only to be told it would take another 35-40 minutes to get two toasted bagels with cream cheese--which felt excessive. Because of the long wait, we ended up ordering an éclair and an apple cinnamon muffin instead--items that were ready right away. Both were tasty, but not enough to make up for the overall experience. The space itself is cute and inviting, but it could really use more seating and a better setup for handling takeout orders. I finally found the most favorite eggnog latte in the area!!! My eyes lite up the moment I saw eggnog latte on the special menu!! And it didn't disappoint! All of the muffins looked really good, freshly made, moist and chubby!! With the staff's recommendation I got the banana chocolate chips muffin and the chocolate chips muffins. Super friendly staff! I needed a warm cup of coffee so I made my way to the muffin house cafe. Not only do they offer several different lattes, they offer different flavored coffee too. I really enjoyed their pumpkin coffee. I paired my coffee with a blueberry muffin, because I couldn't go somewhere named after muffins and not enjoy one! Checked out Muffin House Cafe for the first time on a weekend morning. The location is pretty spacious inside with a lot of seating, and it was packed! The line was relatively long but moved quickly. The ordering process was slightly confusing as we got quite a few items and then the person who took our order briefly disappeared and someone else came over to ring us up, but they seemed to know what they were doing so no big deal. I got a bagel sandwich with eggs and veggies. The bagel was good and it was loaded up nicely with a lot of food but there wasn't any seasoning so I brought it home to eat with some ketchup and hot sauce. The iced coffee was fine, not amazing, but I'd get it again if I went back (which I plan to do). The muffins we tried were pretty excellent and they were really big. I visited the Walpole location for the first time with a friend who keeps raving about this place. I went for the lemon muffin with a lemon curd on the inside thinking at just about $5 a pop for a muffin it was going to blow me out of the water - it didn't. Neither did the coffee. This was our first time successfully eating at the Westwood location. This place is always hopping! Other times we couldn't find parking - not because there isn't parking, but because the parking and the restaurant were full! This is clearly a beloved spot. The muffins looked AMAZING, but we didn't indulge today. We came in and got in line and our order was taken promptly. They gave us a buzzer and then we kind of intuited that we were supposed to stand by the register until our drinks come up and then pay. The registers had footage of their newspots on their screen so we watched that until our drinks came and we paid. There was no where to sit inside so we ventured outside. It was cold but the sun was warm. If there were pads on the metal chairs then the porch seating would have been a viable option. But without it our bums were just too cold. It would be awesome if they offered a stack of chair pads to bring out and bring back in as wanted. The deck is great though! I'm sure it's awesome in the summer. We lucked out and a table became available soon after we came back in and then our buzzer rang and we got our food. We each got breakfast sandwiches. The bagel it was on was great as was the rest of the sandwich. My mocha was also tasty and my husband said the cappuccino was fine. We had a nice time. It's a bit of a drive for us and it's so busy all the time, so it won't become a regular spot for us - but maybe we'll try the one that is supposed to open in Walpole! We definitely went to the one in Medway completely by chance a few years ago and it was equally busy and clearly beloved. A great restaurant. A have driven by this coffee shop for 2 years. Finally I went inside, got a coffee and a bagel. I really enjoyed the bagel but what really loved about this place was the costumer service. I've been working on hospitality industry for 12 years so I like to think that I have a good eye for customer services. I was wearing my old gym clothes and they still treat me nice, you know some times some places do not treat you nice bc they assume you aren't gonna tip but they were nice so I left a good tip. Another thing that I love was the variety of pastries that they have. They also have a nice patio so I would recommend this location for the summer. We've gone here several times since they opened. We especially enjoy their breakfast bagel sandwiches (we have to share them because they're so big!). The servers are friendly and relatively quick, and the restaurant is clean. It's obviously a popular place--sometimes it's a challenge to find seating. The only downside is the coffee; sadly, we haven't had a decent cup of coffee there in quite a while. It's usually bitter or even sour, and no amount of sugar can cover it up. TLDR: good cafe; prices on the menu were wrong. I came here with a couple friends to get a birthday brunch for one of my friends. The food was yummy and the vibe was charming (as charming as a cafe can be on a hectic Sunday morning). While they did get my order wrong, they were happy to remake it which was nice. The only issue we had with this place was their pricing. There aren't prices displayed on the menus on the wall. They have prices in a pamphlet, physical menu. However, these prices were incorrect (an up-charge of about $1-2 from the price on the print copy). Everyone in our party noticed the up-charge from what was posted on the physical menus. Muffin House definitely needs to update their physical menus, especially since the correct prices aren't listed anywhere (the walls, etc). Other than that, we had a great experience! read more
