Reviews were good so we came in on a Monday evening. The interior is so cute! Velvety comfy green chairs at the wine bar, smaller lounge tables and couches in the rest of the place. There is a separate room for gaming. We sat at the bar and were warmly greeted by Aria L. She was so courteous and helpful, offering us suggestions on the wines and snacks. They have a great happy hour from 4-7p for $20 wine bottle which is fantastic. The house white was good, although they ran out after a glass and I went for the Simi sauvignon blanc which was so good. The parmesan truffle fries are a MUST. Just $8.99 for a nice sized bowl of crisp, tasty fries with fresh parmesan shaved on top. MM! I had the 12" cheese lovers pizza which had burrata cheese on top oh my GOSH that is gooooood. It's rich so I had plenty of leftovers for the next day. My friend got the 12" Diavola pizza which she loved. My other friend got the Italian panini ($13.99) which he said he was not that crazy about, but he did enjoy the atmosphere and the Guiness. It is a chill place to have a nice conversation without having to compete with loud music or chatter. We are planning to revisit the next time I am here, this was a very enjoyable evening.

The place was relaxing and cozy and welcoming. I do have to say I hated the slots, but that seems to be the thing in North Riverside now. They're turning into a mini Vegas. We had children with us and asked for their menu items to come as fast as they could. However, the server was extremely short with us and didn't even bring drinks quickly. While the restaurant was not very busy, it too a very long time to get our food - especially one in our group who didn't get food until almost everyone else was done. The food itself was ok, but I would say that nothing was exceptional - somewhat bland entrees and lacking originality. Could be what we ordered...as I know many people find the food here to be quite good. The prices are reasonable for the area but I was disappointed with the general unfriendly service and time to receive food. I've been here previously and we had a somewhat lackluster meal that time also. The previous time, they were pleasant enough but food was only ok - entrees were not very hot when we received them. All in all, there are friendlier spots in the area.

To be honest, all of my reviews are based on whether a restaurant does what it should do given its…read moreprice point. It's decor. And it's place in the market. More importantly, does it offer the kind of service, ambience, and experience that would make you want more? I would say 151 kitchen and bar in Elmhurst does meet those expectations. On a recent work night celebration with colleagues, we ended up here for a nice dinner. Beautifully outfitted, the service was spot on, and the food was for the most part really good. Key points for me for the honey and ricotta with bread - absolutely excellent! I ordered the Atlantic salmon, which came on a bed of tiny potatoes and broccolini absolutely what was expected, the flavors were indicative of light seasoning, and I can truly say I loved it. Needless to say, the food was fantastic. You can see the photo of my entrée below? It looks very inviting right? And indeed it was. One of my colleagues was kind enough to let me take a picture of his chicken bowl - which is below as well - and he pronounced it as pretty good. Coming from him that is high praise, indeed! The tomato bisque soup I had as an app? Pretty delicious - the only concern I would indicate was that it was just a tad too sweet, but otherwise it was served at the perfect temperature, and really hit the spot. Nicely done! So - will I bring hubby here? Yes, I think so. Definitely a worthwhile place for him to try for sure - and I will make plans to bring him here soon.

My challenge is and why I'm giving two stars is that their food is priced on a higher side with mediocre quality. They serve lamb loins, but listed as chops. I ordered lunch all the time and I've never had two mediocre loin. I asked our great waitress of how thick were the chops and where they double boned. She led me to a manager who said you get plenty of food and dodged my question. He simply should've said we don't serve chops. I spent almost $500 for six of us. I think they're a better spot to spend your money for that amount. I did reach out via phone call and email as suggested with no return calls or email. I don't plan to go back for a high priced meal plus a 3% surcharge.

Ordered the plate of Gnocchi with roasted butternut squash and Chicken Madeira, both the lunch size entrees. The waitress knew we were going to split the meals in half so she brought the meals out separately and in two separate plates. Doing so gave us time to savor each meal on its own and not have to try and divvy it up ourselves. I loved it. The food was phenomenal! We also had the bacon wrapped shrimp for an appetizer and that did not last long on the plate. Upon leaving we were trying to buy a couple bottles of wine. We tried getting the attention of the staff, yet were told they were busy. We waiting a good 10mins and still didn't get any help. I'm not sure why they were so short staffed for a busy afternoon, they could literally have 1 or 2 people at a register just for takeout wine orders. Or, suggestion, before we leave our table, we put the order in and they have it ready at the register for us to pay on our way out. Either way we walked out of there without wine. This place is big enough to accommodate alot of people and there is a parking garage just behind it, which makes it very convenient.

Friendly staff whether you're dining in or picking up food (you can even order takeout online!). We've gotten pizzas many times (which are perfectly done and nice and cheesy) but my favorite item is the lemon chicken breast (no bone - I think you can get it both ways). The lemon chicken is delicious - a perfect amount of lemon and a side of pasta is such light and delicious. I usually only eat about half and it warms up beautifully also. They're really friendly to children as well - and we've never had an issue getting food fast when we are in a hurry. Their wine list is great and not overwhelming and they make really tasty cocktails also. Small parking lot... but there is also street parking which is usually easy enough to find.
