We recently tried 93 Octane and had a pretty good experience overall. For appetizers, we had the burnt ends, onion rings, and cheese curds. The onion rings were huge, crispy, and very tasty. The burnt ends were also good and came served over a bed of French fries, making for a hearty appetizer. The cheese curds were just okay and didn't really stand out. For dinner, I had the steak, which was just okay and didn't really impress me. We also tried the cheesesteak with jalapeños. It had good flavor, but was a little dry. The burger was good overall, although it was a bit on the salty side. The craft beers were good and definitely added to the experience. Service was also good, although the restaurant seemed particularly busy, possibly because of a large party upstairs. Overall, 93 Octane is a decent spot with some good food and drinks. The onion rings and burnt ends were probably the highlights for me, while some of the main dishes were just average. read more

The best thing I ate there was the 93 Bourbon BBQ Burger ($19.99) - described a 1/2lb Local Farm Raised Wagyu Beef Topped With House Made Single Barrel Bourbon BBQ, Cheddar Cheese, Candied Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, and Red Onion on a Brioche Bun. It's a good burger. Nothing remarkable, but it did the trick. The fries were good. Avoid the pretzel bites. $13.99 for burned and flavorless chunks. A total disaster. Similarly, skip the Pit Stop Potatoes ($13.99). The potatoes have no seasoning and the melted cheese immediately falls off when you touch it with a fork. Just a greasy mistake. I may give 93 Octane another shot, but I'd need a lunch special or something to bring the price more in line with the quality. read more

We've been here a couple of times and have been pleased with service, beer selection, and food. We've been here on Saturday nights where they've had live music (a single artist) so the music wasn't too loud and you can have a conversion. We've always made reservations and never had to wait to be seated. Our servers came right away to our table to get our drink order and are friendly & answered any questions we might have. Food is delicious and the servers never let our glasses get empty before coming over to see if we'd like another beverage. My son & I are ISU alums so it's an added bonus that we can come support fellow Redbirds. read more

Went there with a buddy for lunch. It was the first time you can't beat the deal the burger, the fries, the beer 15 bucks the best Smashburger I've ever had down to the last bite. We swung by 93 Octane on a bit of a whim. We were nearby for another event and saw this place. And never having heard of them before we decided to drop in. Bonus that there was some sports ball to watch. Double bonus that they had live music (which was amazing!) as well. The brewery itself is beautiful, with multiple TVs, a spectacular upper level and just a great ambiance. The beers here are excellent and there is a wide variety to choose from. In addition to that, they have a full bar and their speciality drinks should definitely be looked at. We didn't eat a lot, but did get some snacks and everything was delicious. Great space with friendly staff, ample space for groups, and a diverse menu with a lot of options. The beer I had (fest bier and cream ale) were both good. Did you see that Bloody Mary??!! There's also an outdoor patio and it seems to be a kid friendly spot. Easy, free street parking! I had the breakfast burrito as suggested by my server and added chicken sausage. Great experience at the new 93 octane location. I have been to their other location in St. Charles many times. We were greeted promptly. First thing I noticed was the location had amazing light. Service was great from Lindsay behind the bar. Discovered on this visit that they offer a weekend brunch. We ate before coming so didn't try any food on this visit. I appreciate that they offer 5 Oz pours of their beers. I was able to try a couple. They also have some cocktails. Some street parking, or there is a deck down the block. I will be back to try some of their food options. read more

The food quality isn't the greatest considering how pricey the menu was. The chicken ick is for a real here and I just couldn't eat it, and neither could my sister. For an $18 chicken Cesar wrap without a side, the chicken that was added was chewy rib meat and my sister and I both took it out of our wrap, even though it was an extra $6 to add it to the Cesar wrap in the first place. I would've expected at least a real chopped chicken breast, but it was more like the Tyson rib meat chicken warmed up. Did not taste grilled or good at all. The beers were all delish. The curds were pretty good, as were the sweet potato fries we had to order as a side since the wrap didn't come with one. I'd go again, but probably get food somewhere else and then go here for a beer or two. read more

Visited 93 Octane opening day. Service was warm, friendly and attentive. Met the manager Deuce who was very welcoming. The beer was very good. Enjoyed two hazy's which were on target and sampled a Kolsch which was fresh. For food I only sampled the fried pickles. The batter was golden, flaky and perfect. The venue presents an appealing first impression; however, my partner and I experienced significant delays. Despite only a few patrons present, we waited 30 minutes to be attended to, during which the host was preoccupied with flirting with other customers. Our table was dirty, and we waited over 40 minutes for service before deciding to leave. While the brewery offers attractive visuals, the customer service leaves much to be desired. read more

Beer has been really good. Would definitely go back for drinks. It's nice to see a brewery that has a good Pilsner and doesn't put fruit in every single beer they offer. This is my new favorite spot in Elmhurst. All the burgers are made with waygu beef. I had the beer cheese burger which was absolutely delicious. We also got cheese curds for the table and they were some of the best (and freshest) I have ever eaten. The craft beer is great. We didn't taste a bad one, they were all very good and my favorite was the double dry hopped IPA. They had a seltzer that you could add syrup too as well, which I haven't seen at another brewery before. This brewpub has new owners, a new name, an interesting selection of 20 or so beers, as well as bourbons and other cocktail fixins. A full kitchen and menu rounds out the appeal. At the bartender's recommendation, I ordered the Burnt Ends which are made daily and they did not disappoint. BBQ sauce is made in-house, not too sweet, not overly tangy and carries a hint of bourbon in the blend. They meat itself literally melts in your mouth! Some of the best I ve ever had. My wife ordered the 93 Cheesesteak, an upscale tribute to the Philly or Little Italy classic. Waygu beef, grilled with green peppers, onions, provolone cheese, and mayo. It was HUGE! We shared bites of the Philly and the Burnt Ends and still had plenty to take home. Between us we tried half a dozen beers. They have a selection of standards... Pilsner, Amber Ale, Wingman IPA, a Stout, as well as a rotating beer selection and some seasonals ... I plan on going back for their Octoberfest!!
