We LOVE cafe immortelle. Norm is extremely kind and always in a good mood. It is small inside, but multiple 2 top tables and a window bar top too. We have tried multiple different coffee flavors and each are really well flavored but not overly sweet. The espresso is never bitter/ burnt. They use sabbath coffee roaster beans. We have gone to nearly every coffee shop in the greater Troy area and cafe immortelle has the best cafe miel. A must try. A staple food here is the spam musubi- if you have never tried spam before, this is the place to try it. I have looked all over for a musubi reminiscent of one I had in Hawaii and this one is delicious. My husband has tried multiple food items and they never disappoint. read more

Right off the bat the cafe is so cute and cozy! I love all the Knick knacks and the board where you can right your name which the owner pointed out to us. The only downside is that there is limited seating depending on if it's busy or not but we managed to get a seat. My friend and I got the hot and cold Honey Cinnamon Latte (Cafe Miel), Spam Musubi, and Hot Honey Croissant Sandwich. We enjoyed everything and the latte was yummy. We got Oreos on the house from the owner which was sweet. I would definitely come back to try more and do work/chill! read more

While it's not the largest space, there are some small tables and couches to sit down if you want, but probably more of a place to just come catch up with a friend rather than trying to work out of. The staff here is soo friendly and kind.My boyfriend and I got a free cookie with our matcha which was the perfect accompaniment to a perfect drink. The vibe of the cafe is so welcoming and cozy. This place is definitely a vibe. It's small and cozy. The staff is very friendly. I came here to study a few times and there were only a few people in the shop so it was very peaceful. I love their tea selection - I frequently get the Black Rose tea (highly recommend if you need a caffeine boost). I also believe this place has the best Avocado toast. Love this spot! They're family owned and Filipino! Love to see it! They do serve arroz caldo for breakfast but not the day we went in, since it was hot. I got the Traverse city cherry hibiscus tea to try. My sisters got matcha with turmeric and a cortado. They've got all the Alt milks too. Tea was delicious! Not super sweet and not all that tart. Staff was nice! I think we saw the dad and the son. Its kind of a long room with a few tables lining one of the walls. It has a pretty earthy vibe inside with lots of shades of brown. A few tables outside too with Darth Vader keeping watch. LOL The parking lot isn't large, but you can find spots next to the building if there aren't any right in front. read more

First time visiting this shop in Troy. Cool little eclectic shop with lots of retro design! The murals and art in the shop are really cool and hipster vibes! We just had coffee but stuck around to play a game. The coffee and mocha was really good! We loved the flavor and strength of the coffee. You can tell that they serve really high quality coffee. It alone was worth the visit. The bread was hearty enough to hold it's form throughout eating. The place was pretty busy so it took a bit to order and for the food to come out. Great tucked away little coffee/tea place on Livernois. Barista made our lattes nice and hot, great body of flavor (thank you Sabbath for the good beans). I also had a salmon croissant sandwich and really enjoyed it. Packed full of mixed greens and pickled veggies, and I loved the generous helping of juicy capers. Goat cheese instead of cream cheese was a nice idea too. I wish there was a bit more salmon though because I didn't really feel it throughout the sandwich. The hot chocolate was made with almond milk, was more creamy than chocolatey, but not bad. The cafe Immortelle tea is really nice and pleasant, even without honey or any sweeteners. It's a great blend and smells fresh and fragrant, but not too overwhelming. The spa musubi was nice, great with the spicy mayo too. I don't even eat spam but it was yummy. The cook some Filipino cuisines on Sundays. The Immortelle flower is a small yellow bud flower, it never dies at all. It's on the bicycle in the window. This cafe has such great charm. read more

Almost missed this place as the signage isn't obvious but once you find this cute little coffee shop, it's so worth keeping an eye out for it. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and helped us with all of our questions. He made me a refreshing lavender rose oolong iced tea and we also ordered a vanilla latte and pumpkin chocolate chip cookie. They have some asian offerings I was curious about (steamed pork bad, spam musubi) but we were headed to lunch and didn't want to ruin our appetites. Decor is cute and interesting and nostalgic, apparently the father of the guy behind the counter has been collecting Star Wars memorabilia for sometime and now displays it in the coffee shop. A fantastic coffee shop to sit down and do work. Coffee and tea are locally sourced (Populace Coffee Roasters and Eli Tea), staff is extremely friendly, and drinks are good. There's a lot of milk alternatives (almond, oat, soy, coconut, cashew) to satisfy everyone's needs. Since I was last here earlier this year, they've added an outdoor seating section for those who are not yet comfortable or able to sit down inside. I haven't had the food yet, but there's some light bites (croissants, avo toasts, spam musubi etc.) as well as a small selection of Filipino pastries. It all sounds really good (the Yelp photos also support that assumption!) and will definitely order a bite to eat the next time I'm in. While I no longer live in Troy, I always stop by when I'm visiting. Highly recommend dropping in for that afternoon (or morning) pick-me-up, a meeting ground with friends, or to have a solid place to do some work (reliable wifi and outlets!). read more
