    Short Rib Pho
    Munzer R.

Pho-Shi is a great easy quick lunch/dinner spot in Troy. They have really affordable prices, halal friendly, big portions, and nice service. I ordered the beef slice pho and my wife got the short rib (pictured). Neither of us was able to finish, so definitely really happy with the quantity. Would definitely recommend stopping by and checking it out, especially during the colder winter months!

Was in the area so decided to give it a try. Everything is halal. A hidden gym. Staff is friendly, atmosphere is very pleasant. My new favorite pho spot

Time to update this review, my last review from here was January 2023 apparently. I ordered delivery from here today and forgot I had tried them out already about a year and a half ago now. I wish I had read my review from them because I said I wouldn't order the mango sticky rice again, and part of the reason I ordered from here today was the mango sticky rice, oops. Unfortunately it was mostly the same as last time, the mango was rather flavorless. The rice was okay, it has coconut with it. I also thought the Thai iced tea was a miss, at least for me - it's not as sweet as others I've had. However, I also ordered the chicken cashew dish and spring rolls, and both were EXCELLENT. I thought I was ordering cashew beef but it turns out I ordered the cashew chicken and added beef... And I'm not mad about it, lol. It tasted like they had fried up some ginger as well with it and it was delicious. The portion was huge, could have had more rice but it was just for me so that's fine. The spring rolls were $7.99 - I ordered them because DoorDash was giving me a promo, $5 off when you spend $35 - but you do get three large, vegetarian spring rolls with that. It came with a nice dipping sauce as well, in a super small container. Overall I would definitely order the cashew chicken and the spring rolls from here again, but unfortunately would not order the Thai iced tea or the mango sticky rice. That being said, I am upping my former three-star review to a four-star review because the chicken and the spring rolls were so delicious.

This has become one of my favorite Pho restaurants. My favorite is the short rib pho. The short rib is so tender. Great friendly service.

I drive by this area often and I had a craving for noodles. This was perfect because it had noodles and sushi in this quiet little spot. There was a nice selection of rolls so I decided to try their signature roll. Since I was getting takeout I wasn't thinking of getting Pho just yet, so I decided on the Singapore noodles. When asked what protein to add I asked what they recommend? He mentioned he liked both the short rib and oxtail, so I chose the same. Great choice! The roll was fresh as expected, and the short rib and oxtail are fall apart tender. It was a large portion too so I had plenty of leftovers out of that. Will definitely come back to try their other items.

Your basic pho restaurant in Troy near a big shopping mall. Beef pho was good, on par with the other pho places in MI. Broth was not special or unique but it did hit the spot and was warm. It contained a good amount of meat and a good portion of noodle. For 13$ it is not bad. The Singapore rice noodle was also good. It was obviously a dry noodle dish that is stir-fried. No gravy, only a light spice mix, some seasoning, scallion, some onion, egg. It is less greasy than lo-mein but still retained a good satisfying taste. I got tofu but you can get other proteins as well. Their items are served with a robot - interesting! Good, clean ambiance. I think the owner was there and personally took our orders and made sure everything was ok. I would likely come back given its convenience and decent value for a sometimes-craved food.

Love the food and the service . Price is amazing . Their lunch money is so cheap and affordable.

I'm not going to lie this place was very delicious and everything. Is halal but apparently the oxtail isn't. You gotta ask the server. The service was amazing. There's a sweet girl who is always serving us and it's a cute place.

Overall, 2.5/5 but will bump to a 3/5 since Pho Shi is still new and I liked the service robot who brought my friend and I water and food! So the last time I was here, this place used to be a hot pot place. I guess it didn't fare well so Pho Shi is here. The idea of this restaurant is Asian fusion, and I got that it was mainly a fusion of Japanese, Thai, and Vietnamese cuisines. Since it was a bit cold, I was feeling a warm bowl of pho. My friend and I ordered pretty quickly after sitting down. I really liked that they have service robots here and it's my first time seeing one at a restaurant. It was cool to grab the food ourselves and interact with the robot via a touchscreen. PHO MIX PHO NOODLE SOUP - 14.95 For almost $15, I expected a lot more. The bowl was big with large portions, but it was mainly noodles, which was on the soggier side and I was not a fan of that. There wasn't much meat, but the quality was OK. Meatballs were cut super thinly. There's also not much garnish. The broth was weirdly sweet and I couldn't really taste a lot of the deep beef bone flavor. In general, I wasn't very satisfied with the pho, so I won't recommend it. Maybe the pho place is not the right move here. I could be convinced to return if the other entrees are promising, though.

Beef slice pho Korean Crispy Wings( 5 pcs)

It was my first time eating here today and I would give it a higher review if I could. The two servers which I assume are the kids are the sweetest. The price was so cheap compared to other pho restaurants. I also ordered the Thai tea expecting it to be watered down, but turned out to be the best Thai tea I've ever had and I'm from Thailand. I'll definitely be visiting again for not just the food but the amazing atmosphere

Pho short rib is wonderful and the service is great!! Also the vibe is very chill! Pho and sushi mix is nice plus American Chinese entrees.

Decided to try this place due to our usual Pho place being close. The beef rib pho was good but was a good amount more $$, the regular pho was average & decent. Good enough to come again but nothing to rave about. Only issue was they didn't rinse the noodles enough to get the starch off the noodles after cooking. When they brought everyone's Pho out, all the broth was cloudy and you could taste it too. Made it taste like noodles were soaking for quite a while. Could have been prevented and sure would have made the pho a lot better. Good service in a strip mall and there's coupons you can clip which I wasn't aware until I saw the sign posted by the entrance window after paying & while leaving.

this place use to be a hotpot restaurant but i guess they closed down and now it's a ramen/sushi spot. at the time me and my friend came here, it was around early afternoon and it was quiet and not busy. they have a lot of room as you can see from the inside pictures i've posted. they could definitely use more seatings to fill in that gap but i think they didn't because they use a robot to bring you your dishes. it's quit amazing! it was my first experience with a robot being your server but the waiter did do their job at the same time, by assisting us and what not. although the waiter was attentive, it felt uncomfortable to have someone watch you eat or stay close to you when they can go do other things. so that made me rate this review 3 stars. the korean spicy ramen was not spicy. i don't know if my friend ordered it mild but it wasn't spicy at all and kind of bland, no flavor. it was a 3/10 for me. i do think it could be something to do with the broth though because if the broth is good, everything else falls into place. if you do want it spicy (as the menu says) then make sure to ask them to make it spicy to your liking. we also ordered one sushi dish called flaming dragon roll. i was oblivious to the picture lol, but they brought it over and started to use a torch or something to get the sushi dish fire up so it was quit interesting to watch. just be aware of that when ordering the flaming dragon sushi. 8/10 for me. there's a sample appetizer they have on their menu and i decided to order that just to see what everything tastes like. it was great! i enjoy the appetizer's a lot. thai tea was great but too much ice for me, i couldn't get it to mix before drinking and my ice cubes were falling out onto the table. less ice next time, for sure. overall, i do like this place, food came out at a normal pace as usual and didn't take too long. the waiter should not stand around and wait for us to finish eating a dish to take back the dishes. definitely should learn to do things around the restaurant to keep busy, at least, if not with customers. this place is good for dates. i like that they don't have too much artificial lightening during the day, they use natural light coming from their glass windows/doors. i prefer that over artificial lightening but even with this, i felt they didn't put more thought into it because it was still a bit dark... in the middle of the restaurant. give this place a try if you're craving really good sushi.

I made a…read morereservation about half a week in advance to ensure they could make space for 3 adults and 6 children. We went on Sunday, August 9, 2026. Not sure if they accept reservations for small parties but thankfully we were able to because it is a fairly small space and all the tables were occupied. We kind of rushed to leave after we finished eating because we saw quite a few people waiting for a table. They also seem to have a lot of to-go orders as they were constantly packing orders and before I left, I saw the sushi tickets literally printing non-stop to the point where I saw it start to pile up on the sushi counter. It must be a really popular spot for sushi considering it is in a very unassuming strip mall that doesn't really have many open businesses (at least there is very easy parking). When I walked in, I asked about a sushi boat and I specifically picked this spot after looking at photos of sushi boats and wanted my nieces and nephews to have a fun experience eating one of their favorite foods. The server told me I would have to order at least minimum amount and she'd have to see how many rolls we ordered (definitely wasn't a problem). We must have ordered like 10 rolls and a few appetizers. I can't remember all the rolls but they were all fresh and high quality. We also got a couple nigiri pieces (salmon and squid) along with our Agedashi Tofu and Takoyaki. Everything was absolutely delicious. The only thing was sometimes it took a while to flag down a server to get our teas refilled but not a huge deal as I saw they were all busy at a full restaurant. Our server was very nice, we got our sushi boat, we all ate everything, and the kids were happy.

I've been wanting to try this spot for a while, so I ordered a little bit of everything: miso soup,…read moreTako Su, gyoza, shumai, sashimi appetizer, beef bibimbap, and two sushi rolls -- the S n T and White Tiger Roll. The miso soup came out first and was pretty standard. The Tako Su had large slices of octopus with plenty of cucumbers. It was decent, nothing standout. The gyoza was actually an accidental order because I thought I had ordered shumai. Looking back, I probably should've realized something was off when the server asked if I wanted them steamed or grilled. Ironically, they ended up being one of the better items. I took them home and even cold later on, they were still good. The sashimi appetizer had a nice variety and was probably one of the stronger dishes of the night. Unfortunately, the shumai completely missed the mark. It was very wet -- you can even see it in the photo -- and just not how shumai is supposed to be prepared. Personally, I think Asahi Sushi does this dish far better, including the sauce. The beef bibimbap was also disappointing for me. I love bibimbap served in a scorching hot stone bowl where the rice crisps up and caramelizes at the bottom. This lacked all of that. In my opinion, both Asahi Sushi and Sumo Sushi do bibimbap significantly better. If that's what you're craving, this wouldn't be my recommendation. As for the sushi rolls -- the S n T and White Tiger Roll -- they were just bland. Not terrible, not inedible, but very forgettable. Overall, my experience was okay, but nothing about it stood out enough to make me want to return. The servers were pleasant, but there were no recommendations or guidance offered, and the food never really moved beyond average. I ended up giving this place 2 stars for three main reasons: 1. The servers lacked recommendations or menu guidance. 2. The food overall was bland. 3. There are significantly better sushi options nearby. If you're looking for exceptional sushi, udon, and bibimbap, I'd personally recommend Asahi Sushi instead. It's only about 12 minutes away and, in my opinion, absolutely worth the drive for the quality, presentation, service, and overall experience.
