The cafe is sort of hidden in between stores, however the sign sticks out on the street. I have seen the clothing line before but only heard about the cafe being in limited locations. Loved the layout and atmosphere of how they had the clothing store on one side and the other a cafe with limited seating but full cafe service. The food choices are based around the brand (fox cookie) nothing too special about it besides the shape, similar to a regular sugar cookie taste wise. Lovely ambiance, tasty food, and friendly service (for a big city, but it is Canada lol). It can feel a little crowded in there, but it was a comfy space and I really enjoyed what I got! A very cute cafe, not that much seating space and no laptop allowed as you can only dine in for 1 hour. The food and drinks are pricier $6-7 price range for pasteries and drinks. Their food menu is quite limited There are other cuter and more variety of cafes in town at a better price. Wouldn't recommend traveling to Gastown just for it but if you are in a neighborhood you can check it out. read more

Service was friendly and the croque monsieur with smoked salmon and fried egg was just right; salty enough and not overdone. Hefty portion and was enough for me and my partner to share. The black sesame sable cookie wasn't my favorite, it didn't have a very black sesame taste. Overall, it was fine, nothing terrible but food wise nothing I'd crave and feel a need to come back for. The interior is nice and the shopping aspect worked well with the aesthetic of the cafe. read more

A popular French fashion brand and café originating from Paris. The long anticipated Cafe Kitsuné has opened its doors in the heart of Gastown. Café Kitsuné is known for their coffee and baked pastries. If you come during brunch hours, expect at least a 2 hour wait since the cafe is very small with limited seating. There's also a time limit for seating and a no laptop policy, so it definitely isn't the place to sit and study. The matcha lattes were delicious, but it didn't have a strong matcha taste. Though I still thoroughly enjoyed it. The butter croissant was also well baked itself - super flakey, soft, and just the right amount of butter. I definitely want to visit again to try their brunch menu and coffee. read more

Cute French- Japanese cafe downtown. I came during off peak hours and still found that it was quite busy and difficult to find a seat. However if you are only here for takeout, it should be okay. I got a latte to go and enjoyed the unique taste that they had. read more

The aesthetic vibe of this cafe, and the cafe as a concept in and of itself, is very much in line with Maison Kitsuné's brand. The coffee is mediocre at best, especially at the price, and the pastries are stale. If you need some place to sit down and talk, this is a good place to check out once. They also happen to have a no laptop policy, which is fine, but it is not completely obviously advertised--which can be quite inconvenient if you sit down with your laptop and have staff give you a warning when you've already cozied in with your coffee. A little salty? Yep. Having it written on the door would have saved me the inconvenience. TLDR: I'm petty but unbiased in that the vibes are immaculate but food and drink are meh. read more

Honestly, it is just okay. It doesnt live up the hype. The place is too small and table is hardly cleaned. The onigiri is actually quite good but a little bit salty good thing it wasnt bland but hey its still too salty. Anyway, cortado was made for us to pour our own milk to pour the way we want it. If its not, its not called cortado just for your information. Gladly tried here and able to review the place. We stopped here for a coffee and art break during our busy trip to Vancouver and loved it! The vibe is very chill with good music and very nice staff. The tea and pastries were delicious and beautifully presented. The decor was coordinated and well thought out, with cute details such as fox-shapes door handles and interesting floral centerpieces. I was able to try this cafe while I was in Gastown after seeing it on my Instagram feed. I pleasantly pleased with this cafe as the baristas were knowledgeable on their drinks and sweets. I truly enjoyed their scrambled eggs, it was so delicious and I was wanting more! Afterwards, my friend and I tried their mixed berry choux which tasted way better than I had hoped! A friend ordered a matcha hot chocolate and the way she described it (not gonna mention here) but let's just say it was sour and overly bitter. The cafe side was lovely. Everyone at the cafe was so kind and welcoming. I got this sparkling espresso drink which was quite interesting . They let me know they didn't have ice but could still make it but I was so curious so I tried and when it came out, it even had some ice in it so I was really appreciative of that. The shop side however was a little different. I walked in and didn't get any greeting and wasn't sure who was a customer or who worked there. Turns out there was like 4 or 5 people working (i think?) Even though it was a pretty small area. I eventually find out who is working because I see other people asking them for help. I find a shirt I like and am ready to go so I let a girl working know I'm ready to check out and she says "oh ok" and then she walks away to a laptop. She didn't let me know whether to follow her, if she was going to go behind the booth to check out to if she would let someone know to help me so I wait a few minutes and nothing. Also, no one was in the booth where you do check out at so that's why I had to let someone know. So after a few minutes I realize she isn't going to help me so I go to stand in front of the check out counter. This other guy ends up going back there and just stares at me. I realize that there's a guy behind me waiting so I move out of the way because I realize that that guy was behind helped by him so he was going to ring him up. He goes on to do so but the worker didn't bother to let me know what was going on or that they'll help me after they finish ringing up this other person. At this point I'm so lost and confused so I just gave up and put the shirt back. I guess I could've let this second guy know I was ready but I thought it was obvious because I had been waiting at the counter. After I put it back a different worker asks if I'm doing alright. I just tell them I'm fine because at this point I'm over it. I can't tell who works there because the workers the ones who did dressed like casually and didn't have any way to distinguish like a name tag or badge and definitely not by letting me know lol... anyway, all in all the cafe made up for the lack of attention I got from the store so I'd recommend the cafe but not the shop so much. read more

Probably the worst service I've ever had in any cafe in Vancouver, the staff seem terribly disorganised and snobbish. For something as simple as finding me a table on an almost empty week day, they had to use their silly tablets and navigate for quite a bit, all while being unbearably rude as if it's better if you didn't come. Seats aren't comfy, the coffee and food is just OK, especially for the price and no full table service. Might as well go to starbucks. read more
