Great spot to drop by for breakfast or lunch. The owner and staff are top notch. Plenty of options including Greek fair. The cinnamon rolls are my go to item.

Biscuit with sausage, egg and cheddar cheese

Cute bakery with breakfast and lunch options. The cinnamon rolls are the most popular bakery item and they are delicious. We ordered at the counter, sausage egg and cheese biscuit and fried egg with bacon and truffle boursin on a croissant and food was delivered to the table by staff. And also ordered a cinnamon roll for the table. All were so delicious. Biscuit was flakey, croissant buttery and cinnamon roll with buttercream frosting delicious! Great breakfast spot in WoodRiver.

The offerings are limited, but they are the most popular breakfast items. Also, the staff is extremely attentive to the buffet and keeps it not only well stocked, but clean and well organized. The buffet started with fresh fluffy biscuits and milk gravy with sausage. It also had; scrambled eggs, hash browns, scrambled omelette, american fries, link sausage, bacon, patty sausage, french toast, waffles, pancakes and carve-able ham. They even had a bowl of fresh fruit. I took a sampling of everything and for buffet food, it was as good as if it were made to order and brought to my table. The servers are friendly and did frequent table checks to make sure everything was satisfying. My coffee cup was topped off on the regular, so it was always warm. It was one of those mornings and I had a craving for, Chicken Fried Steak. So I headed out of the house, to enjoy a nice breakfast at a diner. I hadn't been to B Town in a while, so even with the current gas prices, I made the drive to Bethalto. Their Chicken Fried Steak came with eggs, so I had mine scrambled. It also came with a choice of Hash Browns or American Fried Potatoes. I asked the waitress what her favorite was and she said, American. The American Fried are done totally in house. That sold me. It also came with toast, but I took a pass. They provided a steak knife with my breakfast, but it wasn't needed. The meat was tender and it was easy to break off a bite using just a fork. My eggs were fluffy and the potatoes were a good choice. So, always listen to your server. One thing I really like about B Town, is they do not overly season their food. I like the fact that I actually need to add more salt or pepper to my entree. I hate it when some places overly salt food. Good Food, Good Prices and Good Service will have me coming back for another breakfast. I might even come and check-out their lunch menu.

The food did not disappoint it was delicious and piping hot when served. We will definitely return for breakfast next time. Looks like they have a great selection.

Knowledge and willing to share ingredients and labels as she helped me order Gluten/Dairy/Sugar free. We had yummy greens with eggs and turkey sausage (hold the croutons). The poppyseed vinaigrette was dairy free and just perfect. My matcha latte and Clyde's coffee latte were delicious. Troy had pizza and he loved the crust ( he had regular but they DO offer GF crust AND vegan cheese!). Sam's French Toast looked amazing in all its gluten-filled glory. We also tried the immunity shots from CJ's Juicery and they were dynamite. If we still lived here full time I'd be making the drive over from STL once a week for that breakfast salad and matcha. The menu is varied and thoughtful, altho I would love to see them find a way to offer at least one gluten free bread (I bet their avocado toast rocks!). I understand it is not an easy undertaking for small kitchens to manage proper handling of GF if it's not their focus. However I promise those on a restricted diet can absolutely find something here due to Hannah's expertise.

However, this review is about them, so let me focus on them only. If you go to Post Commons, you gotta get a biscuit. Their biscuits are homemade and they are delicious. My personal favorite biscuit sandwich is the Sausage. In addition to the sausage patty, it has cream cheese and pepper jam. The pepper jam is what really makes this sammie special. If you're wanting a more hearty breakfast, you can create your own plate with items from the A La Carte menu. I've created one with two scrambled eggs, bacon and breakfast potatoes. The potatoes are cut into little cubes and fried to a crispy golden color. It's a great place to meet friends for a cup of coffee. The staff is cordial and makes you feel welcomed. Why go to a chain coffee shop, when you have a unique one in a old post office building? There is, no reason to go. When: February 4, 2026 Why: Biscuit Sandwich

How can you go wrong when you combine a dive sports bar and a down home diner, Since SLT opened in the back kitchen of Pour Decisions, I've dined in once for breakfast and have gotten another breakfast and a lunch as carry-out meals. Each one of them was a winner. My dine in breakfast was, Scrambled Eggs, Bacon and Two Pancakes. My eggs were seasoned well, whipped to a light yellow and prepared fluffy. The Bacon was thick cut and fried crisp. My pancakes made me wish I could master the skill that prepared them. They were a light golden color and fluffy. The butter melted perfectly on top and the pure maple syrup had me wanting another short stack. My carry-out breakfast was One Biscuit and Gravy with a side of Bacon. The biscuit was moist and fluffy like a white cloud on a summer day. The white gravy was full of finely chopped sausage and was not overly salty or peppery. With the B&G, I had a side of Bacon and like my dine in experience, it was top notch. Being a carry-out, it was not very photogenic. Perhaps I'll get a good photo when I order it as a dine in experience. The lunch carry-out was top-notch. My favorite burger is a, Jalapeño Burger and today it was their lunch special. It had Pepper Jack Cheese, plenty of fresh jalapeños and was served with Skinny Fries. Yum-Yum. They even gave a huge thick slice of white onion, lettuce and a hearty slice of tomato. Adding those extra garnishes and the large side of crispy fries, I may not need another meal today. You can tell it's a mom & pop business, because the service is always so personable and friendly. I highly recommend.

It's an ideal place to grab your morning caffeine or a quick lunch, while supporting a small business. My Order: Mango Passionfruit Iced Tea & The Italian Sandwich Food/Drinks: The coffee menu is extensive, and they have a decent tea menu (my tea was Stash). There's a small bakery/pastry case, plus a few sandwiches and salads on the menu. After eating there, I checked out their social media; it looks like they have occasional specials that they post. I enjoyed my tea, and the Italian Sandwich was delicious. My sandwich came with a little cup of oil with herbs, which was so good! Atmosphere: The inside is simple, yet inviting. There's a counter where you order, and two small rooms with a few tables in each room. There's also a few tables outside, which I would have sat at had it been a little bit warmer. The woman working the counter was friendly and helpful. Logistics: It's 3 hour street parking, but I had no trouble finding a spot. The building is sort of on the corner/side road. Once inside, head up to the counter to order.
