Best country style breakfast ever. Very friendly staff and lovely country ambience. I truly recommend this amazing place. We only had breakfast there but I am sure the other foods are as good as breakfast

I will forever crave the Grilled Chicken Salad! Look how it's just piled on there!!

I want to move to Edgerton just so I can be a regular at Cafe on Main! Food, service and homey vibe is spot on! From the genuine greeting to the heart felt thank you, Cafe on Main will leave your both your tummy and soul full! The Cream of Potato Soup and Grilled Chicken Salad Sandwich are show stealers for sure! The sandwich was grilled perfectly with just the right amount of crunch but didn't cut the roof of my mouth!! The sandwich is piled high with the most delicious cranberry chicken salad I've ever had! The soup was heavenly! It's not overloaded with ingredients like most, no bacon to take away the potato flavor and no overpowering seasonings. Just good old fashioned cream of potato soup with soft new potato chunks for texture! Hubby got the breakfast and could have eaten a dozen of the sausage patties! Eggs cooked perfect and french toast nice and thick and fluffy! Highly recommend Cafe on Main and we'll be cack when whenever we pass through again!

I tried the chicken dumpling soup. It was good, but I had to remind the waitress to bring it before my meal and it came out lukewarm. It was not busy; I came just before 2pm on a Saturday. I also tried the handbreaded chicken tenders per the recommendation of the server. I don't often eat fried food, but the picture from another yelper made them look good. They were good and came out really hot. Made me think of Chester's Chicken meets Long John Silvers. You get one sauce and it's $0.59 for each additional 2oz sauce. The BBQ was barely filled and she brought me a ranch that I didn't ask for, but didnt charge me for it so that was nice. Fries were pretty good, kinda reminded me of Wendy's.

Very well done renovations on a previous restaurant in Edgerton. Great coffee. Great skillets and omelettes.

Brooke took care of us at the bar. She was SUPER courteous and probably would have been more engaging if it wasn't for the weekend morning rush. That said, if you're going on the weekend, make sure you carve out some quality time, because the food takes awhile to prepare...but you can't rush genius. Besides, the space is nice and bright; open. It gets a little loud, but you can still hold a conversation. So, put your name in, enjoy some coffee and take a load off. But be sure to shuffle off once you're done; A LOT of peeps will be waiting on your seat, and with good reason.

My friend had the roasted turkey and Brussel sprout hash which she loved and I had the simple pancakes. We were both very pleased with our meals. Server was lovely and the dining room was clean and very vibrant. Parking is available but is metered and in my opinion expensive. Not the restaurants fault at all as it is a city ordinance. $4.00 for parking and please pay it as the city patrols often and you will get a ticket.

It was horrible, had to ask another patron if they even had menus…read more We ordered simple food thinking it was going to be good, it took about 25 minutes to cook a pancake, when we walked in - they had huge bags of potatoes on the floor so we were like "Oh this will be good" ... Not - my husband received frozen hash browns rather than fresh. His food was burnt and then the waitress gave us the wrong bill, I didn't notice until after we left - I always take a picture of my bill. Also, by the time we arrived home both of us were sick. I do not recommend this place, and all we wanted to do was to support our local businesses - but were treated like we didn't belong. Sad - Oh and the health inspector should pay a visit.

Huge portions? Check. 6. Great food cooked expertly? Check. 7. Absurdly low prices? Check. Setting foot in Scottie's is like stepping back in time...in the best way possible. Finding a seat is pure luck; show up early or be prepared to wait, but know that you will be waiting outside, because there isn't an inch of spare room inside. If you do find a coveted spot, grab it because it won't be there long - and be prepared to rub shoulders and knees with the person next to you. Don't worry; that's all part of the experience. You might not know them when you first arrive, but you'll be best friends by the time you leave. Pro tip: the cook is not Scottie. There is no Scottie anymore. Presumably there was a Scottie once, but his whereabouts are unknown. At least to me. Jackie is amazing. If you've seen "Alice," she is the embodiment of Flo. I'm kinda shocked I haven't heard her tell someone to "Kiss my grits!" yet. She delivers good-natured sass just as frequently as plates of steaming hot food. Again, all part of the experience. Your food is cooked to order in front of you, so you know it's fresh. Even if the place is packed it won't take long, because there are only a handful of seats. And about that food: it's damn good. You can't go wrong with any of the skillets. The biscuits and gravy are wonderful. The toast, slathered with melted butter? Heavenly. The pancakes are enormous and awesome. The coffee, hot and delicious. Best of all, when you're handed your check, you will invariably mutter out loud, "That's it?!" The prices are insanely low. They're what you might have paid for breakfast in the 1980s. Two people can easily walk out of there stuffed and only $15 poorer. Tip Jackie well. She deserves it. It may be hot in there. It will definitely be cramped in there. You might see a fly or two. You'll leave smelling like grease. But you will be happy and satisfied and already planning your next visit. Besides, like I said... All part of the experience.
