We had such a wonderful dinner at Cafe on Main. The restaurant itself is lovely- fun decor, beautiful mistmatched chairs, a lovely bar, and antique glassware all add to the charm. We sat at the bar and started with the Katsu Sliders (crispy chicken, house kewpie, papaya slaw on a rice bun which were fantastic). Then my boyfriend ordered the duck breast (which was local and absolutely fantastic) and I got the clam flatbread (something I never see on a menu unless I'm back on the east coast). All of the food was outstanding, the service was 10/10, and the ambiance was a perfect place to end a day of exploring. The cocktails were amazing as well. We can't wait to return. read more

Best dinner I had in Weaverville, I got baked Eggplant, Zucchini, Mushroom, Ricotta, Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, . really well done and planty filling. along with a nice bottle of pinot and a great key lime dessert. Good friendly service, the interior is kind of mismatched with an unfinished look. I heard it was taken over fairly recently so it's still figuring it out. There is not a lot of steady clientele I would imagine, especially in the off season. We were happy to find Cafe on Main. read more

I dropped in for dinner on 11/19/24. Nice place. Quickly seated and served. I had a Lamb Stroganoff that was Fabulous! Paired with a glass of a local Zinfandel and it was a wonderfully memorable meal. I'll be back here for sure! read more

If you find your self in WEAVERVILLE whilst fishing the Trinity for steelhead or perhaps traveling through the fish the Klamath for salmon or steelhead I highly recommend stopping for dinner at the café. This place has to be one of the finer restaurants I've encountered in the rural north west state. Great service. The chef is accomplished and all of the dishes excellently prepared. Wine list is honest and corkage is only 20 bucks a bottle. Highly recommend grilled duck breast if available as a special, pork chop with mushrooms and a marsala sauce or the ribeye for only 25 bucks! This place is a real find. Don't miss it. read more

Very good menu and well-crafted meals, pleasantly served. My primary concern was the hygiene. Dirty dishes were stacked everywhere in the dishwashing area, including stacked in all of the 3-compartment sinks. If what I could SEE was off-putting, I was worried what the kitchen might look like. I mean, it looked like dishes had been stacked there for days (certainly not only the time that we were there, as there were only two tables occupied, and the place was a ghost town). For the price of the bread service, we were shocked at the very small quantity. This was quite incongruous with the price of desserts, which seemed lower than we expected. Suggestion? Forget the bread; spend your money on the sweets! read more

Over salted food, overpriced, and the cook/owner has a very pompous crappy attitude towards customers. Not something you can afford to be when you serve mediocre food. We really wanted to like this place. Great menu and most expensive place in town. Went there for a special dinner. The chicken was ok but the ribeye was all gristle. I don't think there was one actual good bite in the whole steak. I would assume a good chef would be able to tell if a steak was that bad. I was too embarrassed to ask for another one. it is a nice place and for me, i like the foods. the steak, just cooked it right the way we want it. the mushrooms is so yummy till i have to order separate only for the mushrooms. please put it in the menu just for mushrooms. the burger is just mediocre and the salad is great. the lady who served us is great but too bad i did not ask the name. she is nice and polite, but then there is also one more young lady that looked sharp to us when we came in and make us not comfortable. lucky that she is not the one who served us at that moment. overall, this restaurant is worth to try ~ recommended!!! read more

Had the privilege of a Reservation for Thanksgiving Day '23. The "Prix Fixe" Dinner was a warm surprise. The meal began with choice of a spring mix greens with tiny chunks of crisp beets or Pumpkin Bisque served with our local Baker's (Sunny Oak's) fresh "sourdough rolls" and cornbread. Since there were 2 of us, we tried both the salad and Bisque and both were superb. We were given a choice of Turkey, ham, both or vegetarian. The meal also included 7 sides and desert. I cannot recall enjoying any sourdough stuffing with great textures as the one served. All vegetables were fresh, crisp and seasoned to perfection. The mashed potatoes and gravy were perfect and like going back in time. Fresh chunky cranberry sauce. There was a choice of 5 different Desserts. We tried the Pumpkin Spice Creme Brulee and Pumpkin Cheesecake. Again both were excellent. Have not had a Brulee of any kind with an unexplainable crust that melted in my mouth before. With the personable Staff, service, food and atmosphere, this was more of an experience than just dining. BTW, the portions were generous and plenty of turkey left over for whatever. read more

oh my gosh! This place is the bomb diggity and back again. I ordered the Artichoke ChIckes and loved every last bite. I was tempted to lick up the Au Jus or gravy when I dropped it on my sweater because it would be a crime not to. But I resisted because the place is classy in a timeless old Main Street elegance kind of way. Relaxed elegance. My husband got a Lobster pasta that was awesome! I don't like lobster but I liked this! We also had the Belly appetizer which was delicious! Waiting on our Thai Tea Crème Brule' and Carmel Apple Cobbler now. The fish in the taco was dry and flavorless. The burger was mediocre at best and they ran out of bacon. The fries taste as if they were cooked in old oil. interesting place first time we went we were very impressed second time not so much. as we are an older couple we often split a dinner it worked well the first time , this we split lamb T bones each got one piece of meat as expected ,only five or small pieces of potato and one asparagus spear meager even if I ordered a full meal.Caesar salad Romain wilted dressing goopy . Very dirty bathroom. After out first visit we couldn't wait to come back not so much anymore. Disappointing. Mediocre food for higher than should be prices. Are they trying to be big city? As an example, chicken and waffle for $25. The meal consisted of two pieces of boneless fried chicken and a waffle that was hard, dry, and crunchy all the way through. Never had a waffle before that a knife was necessary to cut.
